Renji pursed his lips and furrowed his eyebrows. "I think the soul society would be the best place. It would be the best security you could get because as long as you are in the human world they would be able to find you somehow."

Hikari nodded. " Do you think I would be allowed to stay there. At least till the danger has past?" She asked. She hoped it didn't have to come to that .

"of course. We have done it before on many different occasions." He started thinking back to different events. "I mean if they don't then they'd be going against their own orders. I just hope it doesn't come to that."

" I hope not either. How do you like dinner?" Hikari asked. Her appetite was much better than it was at breakfast. She felt safe with Renji here and hoped she wasn't found.

Renji took a few more bite before answering. "Delicious. Why?" He kept on thinking about the danger close by and closed his eyes.

" Just wondering." She said . Hikari didn't like the feeling in the air she got suddenly. She just hoped she would be safe in her home and the danger would pass.

Renji sensed Hikari's discomfort and gave a small smile. "Come on, eat up!" Renji gobbled down and gave a thumbs up when he finished.

Hikari smiled and finished up her food. She knew she would need all the strength she had to keep herself safe. " Are you ready for desert? " She asked with a smile.

Renji didn't know there was desert. "Oh, we have desert? Sure thing!" He was excited to be spending time with Hikari. "After dinner I am going to head off to bed. You can call if you need me right?"

" Right . I promise to call you if I need you. The phone in the apartment is on. I hope you like chocolate swirl ice cream. " Hikari said as she took the carton out of the fridge.

Renji nodded and looked at the window. He was about to do something really stupid. Renji would wait until Hikari was asleep to carry it out.

Hikari handed Renji a bowl and started to eat her own. She hoped she was still safe. Hikari still had many questions, but would wait to ask them.

Renji started to eat his own and he glanced at Hikari. "Do you have anything else to ask me?" He waved his utensil in the air and raised a brow.

" I do. but you're probably tired of my questions." Hikari said blushing. She knew she shouldn't be be nosy, having the feeling not everyone liked being asked questions." Do you think my dad is safe some place?" She asked. She missed her dad very much.
