Kent stood there silently and didn't know what to say. All he could do was nod and look at his cell phone for a minute. He had to take a while to absorb the truth. He wondered if they were just humans at the end of the day just like everyone else.

"I'm all right," Congressman Chase said as he smiled lightly.

Liz-Rye looked at her husband and knew he wasn't feeling too well today again, she hopes he would just be honest with himself with his 'illness'.

The bunny waitress nodded but knew it wasn't professional. Then she looked at Terrance and noticed a 'change' in his eye color.

"Yeah, I guess it was a bit funny," Terrance said as he smiled back and then looked at the bunny waitress.

The bunny waitress then thought, "Maybe he's wearing contacts, because I could have sworn his eyes were hazel."

The bunny waitress took the check with the payment and went to the counter.

"Well I should get going. It was nice to see you again." Kirin says.

Rita smiles as she waits for her credit card to be returned. "So what should we do after this?" She asks. She enjoys spending time with Terrance.

"Likewise," Congressman Chase said as he walked off with his wife.

Kent looked at Kirin and then skated to the next lamp post. "Kirin, think I could skate off those stairs?" Kent asked Kirin.

Terrance looked at Rita and said, "Well we could go back to the capital, since we have one of those meetings in an hour or two. Although it is an optional one at least."

He smiled and then said, "Other then that, I don't know what to do next."

The bunny waitress came back with the check and the card inside. She smiled at them and wanted to ask Terrace if he was wearing contacts, but she knew to stay professional.

"I think you could end up breaking your neck." He says honestly.

"Let's go for a walk." Rita says with smile putting her credit card away.

"Yeah and that cop like guy is there too," Kent said as he sighed, "I guess it's off to see what the other skaters at the other skate park are doing."

The DC police offer is standing there munching on donuts.

"That's better than going to that meeting," Terrance said as he got up and pushed in his chair.

Terrance stretched his arms and then smooth back his hair. A little girl ran into Terrance and looked up at him.

"Sorry..." The girl said as she looked at Terrance with a sad look in her eyes.

"That's ok dear," Terrance said as he patted the girl on the head and smiled at her, "don't run around in restaurants, now."

The girl smiled back and walked off to look for her sister.

"Alright." Kirin says. He follows Kent.

"She looked so sad." Rita says as the two of them heads out. She wonders what the girls story is. She is very glad that the meeting was optional.

When Kent arrived at the other skate park he usually hangs out at, the skaters were mumbling about random stuff.

"What's up guys?" Kent said as he went over to them.

"Look at JJ got on his phone," One of the guys said as he told JJ to replay the video.

"So? That's just a press conference of a suit, a fancy suit going 'blah, blah, blah, politics, blah, blah, blah.'" Kent commented as he just heard the audio and then he looked at the video, "Oooo that guy."

"See he now is saying he is on our side, we must do something! We must fight the machine!" JJ said as he was being extreme.

Kent looked at Kirin and then said, "That guy isn't all that bad, he also has a name... Congressman Terrance Pace is his name. He isn't a machine to fight anyways. Now Watt-Watt is one to fight"

He had some more comments but didn't say 'em since Kirin was right next to him.

"Watt-Watt, don't you mean Wattermore?" JJ asked as he paused the video.

Kent nodded and told JJ that was his code name.

Meanwhile Terrance sensed the girl was sad but kind of knew why she was sad.

"I think she picked up on my suppressed emotions, or it was something else," Terrance replied, "Hopefully she'll be ok though."

Terrance walked passed the frozen yogurt place with Rita. He heard a lot about that place but he was too full to eat there. As for the little girl, she was looking for her sister to tell her something.

"Terrance isn't a bad guy." Kirin says coming to his defense. "And he is on our side." Terrance was always defending Kirin and he felt defending him was the least he could do. "You could also go after Baer." He is shocked at himself for saying that, but it also felt pretty good.

"We'll have to come get frozen yogurt here sometime." Rita says as they pass the shop.

((Aw man... I had a post but PC crashed for a sec.))

JJ nodded at what Kirin said. Kent agreed and introduced Kirin to the rest of the fellows.

"This is my friend Kirin, guys say hello or at least some kind of greeting," Kent said as he smiled.

JJ greeted Kirin with a hello and that was about it. The rest of the fellows just kept on jabbering.

Meanwhile Terrance kept on walking with Rita. Terrance nodded. Terrance saw from across the street a teen or what seems to be a teen getting bullies by a group of people. The teen tries to defend him or herself from the group of people, but the teen is afraid to use their mutant powers against them. Terrance then had a slight flash back from middle school and sighed. He went across to street and asked, "What y'all doing this for?"

Kirin loves feeling part of a group. Then his world crashes.

"Well well well. If it isn't little Kirin. Thought you would have gotten offed by this time." Markus says coming up to the group. He's about six feet tall and has long black hair. He has a rather nasty scar on his face and his eyes are so dark they look black. He's from Kirin's past and he still lives on the wrong side of the track.

Rita is appalled at what she sees and follows Terrance. "You should be ashamed of yourselves." She says.

"Who in the devil are you?" Kent said as he grabbed a baseball bat, "This group is for members only, not for rats..."

JJ tries to drag Kent away, because he knows this guy that is after Kirin will only hurt him and the rest of the crew too.

The group looks at the two adults, the ring leader goes up to them and says, "Shut up, this none of ya' business."

Terrance looked at the ring leader and said, "Now let the kid go, or you'll have to deal with me."

"It's on then," The ring leader said, "Hey guys, let's beat up the suit, the freak wasn't much fun anyways."

The ring leader went up to Terrance and started fighting him. The other guys tried to get Rita but the teen frozen them still out of nervousness. The teen nervously watched Terrance fight the ring leader.

"Kirin knows exactly who I am." Markus says with a sneer.

Rita stands by Terrance. She hopes her martial arts training will come in handy. Most people underestimate her.

"Who in the world is this guy, Kirin?!?!" Kent yelled at Kirin, "Don't tell me you owe people money or yet..."

JJ kept trying to tell Kent to leave it alone, he even tried to convince him to let the guy deal with Kirin. He knew this kind of situation wasn't any good. Kent didn't want to leave Kirin at the mercy of his tormentor.

The teen's power's gives up on him and the rest of the guys unfroze. They looked around and wonder what happened. Then they remembered they were going to beat up Rita. The teen stood there nervously and watched at two fights were going on. The teen thought, "why these two strangers trying to defend me."

"Nah, just somebody from my past." Kirin says wincing a bit as Kent yells at him. "You should go." He says not wanting his friend to get hurt.

"Yeah we go way back." He says putting his arm around Kirin. "Just wanting to catch up." He says. Smirking as he feels Kirin shudder.

One of the guys goes after Rita and she knocks him out with a martial arts move.

"Yeah, Kent, listen to your friend, let the guy deal with him," JJ said as he and his crew started to back away.

"Never!" Kent said as he took out an umbrella, "You can't let this guy torment you, Kirin. Running away from your past will only leads to more trouble."

JJ face palm and stuck by Kent. "We're going to stay by you this time, but if one of us dies..." JJ said, "You're going to split your inheritance with us, right?"

Kent nodded and unleashed the sword from the umbrella. "I do know how to use this." Kent said as he aimed his sword at Markus.

The other guys get scared and run off. The ring leader is still fighting Terrance.

"Aren't you tired of fighting yet?" Terrance said as he knew what was on the ring leader's mind, "You were only picking on this kid because he was different, well pick on me then."

The ring leader didn't know what to say, he looked at Terrance and wondered if he seen this guy somewhere before.

Markus smirks. "isn't this sweet, your little boyfriend is sticking up for you. Does the congressman know you are cheating on him? Though if you are going to cheat on him it should be with somebody better."

Kirin is doing his best not to panic. Though living with Terrance has increased his control on his emotions.

Rita goes over to the kid. "Are you alright?" She asks.

Kent stays still and still has the sword in his hand. The sword is glowing a reddish aura. JJ knew this wouldn't be good for any of them. JJ knew this wasn't good, Kent was going to lose control of his powers. Either that or get everyone around his injured. JJ tried to drag Kent away, but got burned trying to touch him.

The teen looked at Rita and said, "I guess so, they're gone for now. Who knows when they'll be back to get me though."

The ring leader then remember Terrance from a long time ago, and ran off before Terrance could say a word.

"What do you want Markus?" Kirin asks.

"Just want to have a little fun." Markus says.

"Don't you have a home?" Rita asks gently.

"You're not going to have any fun today," Kent said evilly to Markus, "Your fun has expired..."

Kent was totally different person now. You could even see it in his eyes. It's like some where along the line he met Markus in his past life or something. He wanted revenge. Would he get it today? No one knows, most likely it would end up a trip to the emergency room for Kent.

The teen nodded in reply and then said, "but my folks want me to put up a fight. I don't want to fight those bullies. I just want to be me."

Terrance brushed himself off and went over to where Rita and the teen was. "Y'all all right?" Terrance asked.

The teen looks at Terrance and wonders if he seen him somewhere before. Most likely at a family function or something of that sort.

"Kent..." Kirin's voice shakes, he's very scared right now.

"That's horrible." Rita says. "You should have the right to be yourself without worrying about being bullied." She hates bullies.\\

"You'll never have to worry about this guy again," Kent said to Kirin with a grin.

JJ yelled, "Kent! Snap out of it, we don't want another trip to the ER man... We ran out of lies to tell the staff. We will have to tell the truth this time around."

Kent glared at JJ and then walked over to Markus, "Let's finish this once and for all..."

The teen thanks Rita for her kindness and then asked Terrance a question, "Do I know you?"

"Hm..." Terrance said as he looked at the teen and wasn't to sure, "I am not sure, but you do seem a bit familiar."

"It was at a family gathering where I first met you and that witch. No offense..." The teen said as he referred to Terrance's sister as 'that witch'.

"Kent please stop, you're scaring me." Kirin says.

Markus moves Kirin in front of him. "If you want me you'll have to go through him." He sneers.

Kirin starts shaking all over.

"You've met his sister?" Rita asks. "I've only heard stories."

Kent laughs and is not really himself now. Part of him is telling himself, no don't your friend is in front of the guy. While the 'insane' in him is telling him, a life is a life, killing an innocent one to get rid of an evil one is for the greater good. So what if two lives are taken in the process.

"Sorry, kid, I'll be sure to tell your friend you died an honourable death," Kent said as he smirked.

JJ does the unthinkable and clonks Kent on the head with his skate board. "I'm sorry friend, but no one is going to die today," JJ said as he dragged Kent away, "Sorry Kirin, Kent should of told you earlier."

JJ puts Kent's sword back inside the umbrella and sighs as he knew he couldn't do a thing for Kirin, not a single thing.

Maybe JJ and the crew was just playing chicken, or maybe they knew guys like Markus would kill off the whole crew.

Meanwhile, the teen looked at Rita and then looked at Terrance. The teen didn't want to lie but yet didn't want to hurt Terrance's feelings.

"Yeah, I met her," The teen said, "She's horrible. She is the worst kind of bully. Cruel to her own kind too. She use to be nice to her family, now she's even cruel to them as well. I hope she's weeping about it at a bar somewhere. Serves her right."

Terrance sighed and knew what the teen said was true, although he still loved his sister. That day when she disowned him, torn him to pieces.

"That's enough about Rach," Terrance said as it brought back both good and bad memories.

"Just find Terrance and tell him I'm sorry and that I love him." He says. Though he does struggle as Markus starts dragging him away.

"Come on the boys and I are going to have fun tonight." He says.

Rita wonders if what has been said is really true.

Kent comes too and looks at JJ, "You let him get away, how could you? He's going to do horrible things... He would of been happier with the fate from the 'insane' than that horrible fate..." Kent said as he started to run off after Kirin.

As Kent was running, he bumps into Terrance and looks up at him. He starts to freak out.

"What's going on?" Terrance asked as he felt the panic coming from Kent.

"Nothing that concerns you, suit," Kent said disrespectfully trying to hide the truth as he tried to run off, but now Terrance is holding him by the shirt.

"Don't beat him up," The teen said as he shivered in his boots, "Just let him be..."

Terrance looks at Kent and then lets him go, "I'll trust you this time, but I'm going to keep my eye on you."

Kent runs off quickly and knows that if Kirin doesn't come back, Terrance will not only be mad but heartbroken.

"Sorry, Rita, but I have this feeling that my partner is in trouble..." Terrance said as he sighed, "To bad I don't know where he is."

The teen looks at them and then comments, "Thanks for saving me back there by the way. If it wasn't for you guys, I would have been beaten to a crisp."
