I'm getting better! Seriously!! and luckily this is a crazy week - kind of like spirit week - at my school and I won't teach tomorrow at all and only have of my thursday and half of my friday schedule - so it won't be so bad :)

... what is a spirit week?
Week of spirits? as in ghosts?

It's when schools have a week of....activities to boost the kids school spirit and the spirit of the community basically. Today is an open house and parents are allowed to come and visit and prospective parents can go in and out of classes to see what goes on here (luckily I don't work today - that would make me nervous). Tomorrow is a faculty vs. student basketball game and a half day (there are a couple half days during the school year so teachers can meet for the second half of the day for professional development)...thursday is career day and we have a ton of guest speakers in and out of classes all day. And Friday is a family picnic, talent show (that I'm in charge of), and a middle school dance XD

Career day? That sounds like very high school ish?

Yeah - kind of - a lot of middle schools have it to begin to get students to think about the future - but it is more of a high school thing XD

I feel bad for the kids already...

LMAO me too XD but luckily it happens in their homeroom and I have nothing to do with it! and usually I don't like them missing my class but because I'm recovering from this sickness...they can keep the kids to listen to guest speakers and I will sit and get some work done! like props for my valentine's day show coming up and the bulletin board that needs updating!

what? It is career talk? Not career role play?

You know in Japan, there is this one day some primary schools did.
I forgot the name, I think it is something along the line of ... 'One Day city'...?
All the kids plays a role in all possible careers required to run a city. They were distributed with fake money, banker, grocer, electrician, police... and so on. Each class as each own destination, could be school, town hall, bank, shops, mall... etc
When I watched the video, I was so fascinated! and JEALOUS!

When I was in elementary school, my teacher was clever. I had her for both 5th and 6th grade and each year she made us run a business selling carnations around Valentine's Day. She would have us divide the jobs among the students from Overseer/President to flower purchaser to flower distributer. We had to figure out everything ourselves...everything! and it was awesome! It was a lot of work, but it really taught us about a bunch of different careers in one go :D

sadly i haven't worked on my pixels anytime soon but i really do love everything you make lol >w< and i am glad all your hard work paid off

Aw thank you <3 I'm so happy to be doing this as part of the mene staff team - even if I'm only in trial mode right now :D I'm super excited and can't wait for the first release of Maria and Demo Pixels :D
