Hmm - I think the tests take a good 2 weeks after pregnancy to start showing proper results...depending on which test you got.
And ahh... That doesn't sound fun! Does morning sickness really take that quickly?

How do you know ahead of time if you'll miss it?

Well - your body builds up hormones when its pregnant - which is what the pregnancy test looks for in the urine. You wouldn't have a big enough build-up of hormones after a short period of time... Usually about 2 weeks in is when there are enough to confirm a pregnancy.

And... I feel that a test that is based on the time of your period seems.... Untrustworthy... But it might just be their marketing scheme. ^^;;
