Hey everyone!
I just watched Footloose last night.
I loved the music in it, but the movie itself was alright.
Nothing special, I would give it a 3.5/5.

On another note, I really liked Step Up 3D.
The dances were really interesting and it's the movie that encouraged me to take hip-hop classes.

Topics for discussion:
-What did you think about Footloose, or Step Up 3D?
-What are your favourite dance movies?
-Do you dance? If so, what kind?

I have only seen the original footloose... but I was told the new one is pretty much the exact same movie with different music. I enjoyed it somewhat it was not the best thing out there though. I enjoyed step it up and save the last dance... but I loved fame >.< I havent seen 3d yet. I do dance, or I did before my knee was shattered. I did ballet, jazz, drill line, and some hip hop.... I didnt get to learn much of the last one before my accident.. and now its hard to do with a knee and hip that pop and slide out of socket >.< I loved to dance though... so even if I look like a tard now I do my best to dance for fun with my daughter.

The original is probably better anyways! They usually are. >.<

Would you recommend the original version of Fame or the remake? I should watch it, I've heard lots about it!

Aw, sorry about your knee. But it's great that it's not stopping you from having fun dancing!

Are you talking the remake?
It's the only one I've seen honestly.
And I think I may have internally laughed at times/parts, where I maybe shouldn't have.

Yeah, it was the remake that I watched recently.
Don't worry, we all do that, haha. :P
Except I usually laugh out loud, and then it gets awkward because I'm the only one who does.

My mum watched it on telly last night, too. I missed the start, and as I haven't seen the film before, I didn't stick around. The film isn't supposed to be overly good (from all the people I know that's seen it) but it's one of those 'must see' films. One day I'll see it.

I love the song though.

As for dance films, I'm really not a fan.

I did four years of dance classes though. So I can do ballet, street dancing, zumba, Highland dancing and ballroom. I also taught myself the dances from Grease and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I'm working on Dirty Dancing now.

Lol, yes! Solidarity!
I laughed during the Titanic though...

And Footloose the remake was just awkward/ridiculous I think it was at times?

I suppose it is...I think you'll live if you don't see it, it really isn't anything special.
I DO want to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show though.
How is it?

Maybe the original.
The remake wasn't amazing or anything. >.<

Wow cool! The only experience with dance that I have is Jazz in grade 8 and hip-hop now.
And I'm still not very good. xD

It's neat that you can teach yourself the dances though! I need them slowed down 10x before I can even learn the first step. :P

@Popcorn Gun:
Oh, I can't say the same for myself. I was a crybaby when I watched the Titanic, but that was years ago. >.<

Yeah, I thought so too. It was an okay movie, let's just leave it at that. xD
It was an alright film to watch if you're bored.

Yeah, it was the original that I was talking about. C:

@Popcorn Gun: The Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of my favourite films, mainly because Tim Curry is in it. I'd definitely recommend watching it. It's a cult classic. (:

@Destiny: I've tried most dancing, but am master of none. The only dances I can do well are the ones from movies (Grease and RHPS like I said before). I need to watc the dances about a million times to get anything to sink in haha.

I'm not a huge fan of movie remakes. In the past, however, if I'd seen the remake first before the original, having not known about it, then I'll go back and compare them before deciding which I liked better. In most cases, though, if I know there's an original and I've seen it, the chances of me seeing the remake is slim... Unless there's an actor/actress I like in it. But even then...
