They said one of the first casualties was a small pony named Rainbow.
Yeah, Jackson's company is claiming that there couldn't have been animal deaths because they did everything by CGI, or something like that. It seems kind of over the top though, I mean... 27 dead animals? That's not a small number.

I'm sure there will be a huge controversary about it. Animal rights organizations will be all over this like mud on a pig. I hope for his company's sake that it was just rotten luck or something else other than fault or neglecince on their part.

Exactly, it is a huge deal all around the world for the most part.
I know, well the first movie has already been filmed, I think they are working on the second one already...not really sure of the status of it. I'm so psyched, I cannot wait to go see it! I feel like a twelve year old all over again!!

I live in New Zealand, so the movie is less of a "We're all fans of this" and more of a "This directly effects our economy" big deal. Fun times. And I thought they filmed them all at the same time, like they did with the LOTR movies?

Really? How so? IO'm going to see it tomorrow night.

No spoilers but I saw it and loved it... you get the good first half of the book and I guess the next half will be the second movie! It should be quite interesting to see what the third one will be about. All of my fandom just came rushing back to me by the end of the movie. The songs were awesome, I'm going to have to get the soundtrack to that film it was just absolutely spectacular.

Should you go see it?

A most DEFINITELY YES!!! 10/10!! Major thumbs up!
