I'd really appreciate you all adding your signatures to this, if you haven't already done so - it calls upon the Governor of Rio to introduce a replacement anti-discrimination law, protecting the LGBT community. If you could also pass this on to your friends and family, that would be even better. ♥

"Rio de Janeiro just revoked a 12 year old law that protected lesbians, gays, bi and trans people from discrimination. This is an outrageous step backwards for a city that calls itself "the world's best gay destination".
The governor of Rio, Sérgio Cabral, certainly doesn't want to look anti-gay right now: thousands of LGBT people are planning to visit Rio in the next few months. If Cabral wants his city to be the best destination in the world for LGBT people, he needs to introduce a new law barring discrimination in days, not months. If we can show him that people all over the world will stay home unless he does it now, we will definitely get his attention.
Will you call on Cabral to introduce a new anti-discrimination law? Once we get to 50,000 signatures we will deliver this petition in a way the Governor won't be able to ignore: as a huge projection onto the sprawling front of the Government Palace in the middle of Rio - right where Cabral sits everyday.
People are jetting in from around the world, expecting Rio to be as safe as it always has been. We don't have much time. Sign now and tell Governor Cabral that playing with people's safety is not ok"

That dealt with, how is everyone? Did anyone go purple for Spirit Day?
