Several years ago at the church I was at one of the ten year olds, who was in my Sunday school class came out to her parents as transgender.

I've seen a case or two like that, the child came out at a very young age saying they had the wrong parts. One set of parents was completely accepting and started the process to change their child to the gender they identified as.
The other case the parents completely refused it. They had a little boy who said "I have the wrong parts. I'm a girl, why don't I look like one?" And her parents FLIPPED out when she said that. "You were born a boy, Brandon! You are not a girl, stop this nonsense." And they were Christian so they used the whole "God made you this way" thing and Brenna (the adorable name she chose for herself) kept telling them "God made a mistake!" Her parents never listened to her and kept shaming her, her family shamed her, the church she went to tried everything to "get the Devil out of his mind and body" and Brenna ended up ending her own life before her 15th birthday. It was the most heartbreaking thing I had heard..

Hahaahah O_O Boobs are great, but I prefer them on someone else rather than my own body.
Hahahaha, I guess my friend is a weeny :P
---------- Post added 05-18-2013 at 10:58 AM ----------
Oh, I heard about that. Very sad... Also, the person who was born a boy but wanted to be a girl. Her parents kept telling her that it was nonsense, so at the age of 10, she cut her own genitals off.... Well... That was what happened. Then they had to listen. But that is a bit extreme.

Cutting your own genitals off is on the extreme side of things, but sometimes kids think they have to go to extremes for their parents to hear them.

Well this child has very supportive parents. Ghia was lucky that way. But Ghia was basically the same person as she was before she became Ghia, just more true to herself.

Yeah, well, it would take a lot for my mother to outwardly hate me. Like be a murderer or something... Hmm... I just wish I can be open about it... Just hard, you know? I've always wanted to talk to other transgendered people, just to hear their stories... The thing is, I would never ever be able to afford the operation or various psychiratrist appointments... So I will always be physically female. I guess all I need to do is get rid of boobs, but that costs and I really want all of me to be what I truly am... *Sighs*
I'm not sure if mtf transgendered people get the same thing, but basically everytime I tell someone I am really a boy, they just say "oh you're just a lesbian" or "your just a tomboy". Irritates me...

Ah, the ever annoying "You're just a lesbian" line. It's like they don't think we know ourselves. e.e
It's the main reason I try to keep away from LGBT conversations in real life. No one seems to have their heads on straight.

Well bisexuals have it as hard to. You are only trying the other sex out. You're confused. You just don't want to commit. It's just a phase, And if you are in a committed relationship with the same sex it's Oh you're really gay/lesbian. If you are in a relationship with a person of the opposite sex it's Oh you're really straight.

Neko - People tend the flip their lid about things like that. xD I tried to just explain BDSM and dom/sub relationships to my dad once. His face was priceless.
Kirin - Yeah, I think bisexuals get a lot of unneeded crap for their orientation. "You're just being greedy." "You'll choose a sex sooner or later." Blah, blah, blah. All I hear is a robotic voice going "This is not hetero-normative, we must destroy it." e.e

I hate the whole "You're a tom boy" or I get "You're a lesbian, you're supposed to be butch" thing a lot. People just do not understand the whole psychological side of being in the wrong body and how much it eats away at one's soul because you keep having to struggle with yourself over every little thing.
Heck, I'm even afraid of public bathrooms at times because I've been yelled at for being in the "wrong" bathroom. I'm there to pee and get out, it shouldn't be an issue. Some people just need to not be so..I dunno the word for it, conservative, for a lack of a better word. They need to see people as people and not freak out about stupid things. I don't think a lot of people know that transsexual people go through so much because it's something that's not really talked about. I do feel that people in general need to be more educated and learn that there is nothing wrong with being who you are.

There needs to be more education across the board on it all. I haven't even told anybody, except people on here that I am pansexual. I just don't know how people in my real life would deal with it, and how I would explain it. Though for me I feel my gender is female, with some very male tendencies.
