Seamus bounced between helping Brit and helping Kaladin. Of course, he was helping Kaladin mostly to tease him about trying to see Hazel without a gown on, but it still counted.

Kaladin eventually swatted Seamus off to go do something else.

"Why don't you go try dragging your lady behind the gryphon cage?" he said, mostly now just trying to get Seamus out of his hair. "Or help her build that mini-enclosure, or something. Go dump some sheep on her."

"She's working with the ceryneian fawns right now," Seamus promptly replied. "Her pet project and all." He grinned. "She doesn't need my help with that. But my dear brother, on the other hand, has nearly been tripped into the pond four times in the last twenty minutes by the selkies. Clearly, my assistance is needed."

"The selkies are just playful, and I'm watching them." Kaladin managed to step over one that deftly laid in his path, although he almost tripped. "See? I'm doing fine."

Seamus just grinned innocently and gave his brother a bit of a shove.

Kaladin nearly tripped over one of the selkies, which looked disappointed when he didn't land in the water. He caught himself, just barely, and turned to glare balefully at Seamus before shoving him in the water.

Seamus came up sputtering and snickering.

"Almost got you," he said, grinning. "And you would have ended up shirtless for your lady." He pointed to where the carriage was just pulling up to the main building.

"Yes, because that would have started the lesson very well," Kaladin said, his voice dry. He knew better than anyone that this would be a very delicate situation for a bit, until Hazel got used to all this and got a little more bold.

Seamus shrugged as he got out of the pond and tried to wring himself out a bit. He shook the water from his hair.

"It's going to happen one way or another," he pointed out. He grinned a bit. "May as well get her used to it now rather than a more inopportune time."

Kaladin sighed but waved his brother off, hopping over the fence to go check on Hazel and see how she was feeling by this morning.

Hazel was just stepping down out of the carriage when she saw Kaladin. She couldn't help but blush a bit as he got closer: the gown she was wearing was very, very simple without even a corset, so that she would be able to change out of it by herself. She had a small bundle in one hand that turned out to be the bathing suit she'd had rush-ordered before arriving.

"Morning," she greeted.

"Good morning." Kaladin smiled at her. "How much actual work do you have to do today?" That way he'd know how long he'd be able to steal her away for.

"A little," Hazel said. "There are a few things I need to get out of the way today. But there is more that can wait for later, if it has to."

"Well, why don't you get started on some of it? We can wait until it warms up some to get started on your lesson." Kaladin smiled at her.

Hazel smiled back, a slightly uncertain smile but one all the same, and nodded.

"Alright," she said. "Let me know when you want to start, then."

Kaladin nodded, leaning forward to kiss her cheek gently. "Don't worry," he said quietly. "I won't let anything happen."

Hazel blushed faintly.

"I trust you," she replied softly.

Kaladin smiled, pleased with that response, before he kissed her again briefly and then released her.

"You should probably get started on your work before I distract you any further."

"You're probably right," Hazel replied after the kiss. "I shouldn't be too long."

Kaladin nodded. "You know where to find me." He smiled a little and moved back slowly, letting her get back to her work. And now he had to get back to his, not that he had too much to do.

Hazel nodded and smiled at him, then turned to go into the building to get started on her work. It wasn't too much later that she was peeking out the door again, a little self-consciously, as she clutched a silk robe around herself.

Kaladin was still making sure things were running smoothly, having checked up on everyone else and then gone back to the pond. He'd stripped down to his shorts and was currently in the water rubbing one of the selkies vigorously. It looked like it was in heaven.

Once she was sure nobody was staring at her, Hazel hesitantly made her way down to the pond, blushing brightly at being outside without a proper gown and corsets on. She had a bathing suit on, of course, and the silk robe, but she still felt very exposed.

Kaladin looked over at her, pushing his hair out of his face. He grinned briefly and swam over to the edge of the pond, pulling himself out.

"Done with your work for the moment?"

"For now," Hazel replied, struggling to keep her voice from shaking and betraying her nerves.
