Heatwave? Lucky you! It's freezing here!
But then again.. It's normally cold here in Sweden.

I can only imagine how freezing cold it is there in Sweden and I'm not saying freezing cold conditions are better because that's not the case...
but a heatwave is never pleasant even for locals who love warm summer days...heatwaves are a period of a few days when the temperatures get ridiculously high.
Here it's usually considered a heatwave if the high temperature is 36 degrees celsius or over and doesn't get below that for a few days. Though lately the heatwaves have been more like 40+ days...
There have been cases of vulnerable people (older people or young children) who have died due to heat related problems during heatwaves...in the case of older people, often they're alone at home and don't turn on the airconditioner or fans, if they even have them, due to rising electricity bill costs...and they die of heat exhaustion...with young children, they're in hot places where their guardians left them (like in a car parked in a carpark).
I do sometimes think people from other places that are usually cooler or colder would die if they suddenly came here during a heatwave...and unfortunately that is not a joke.

Yeah...sorry if I sounded like I was telling you off McNugget...my point was to say that it is never 'lucky' to be in a heatwave.
I have never been to a place that's so cold that it snows heavily every winter...the furthest North I've been was to Beijing...when I was there it hadn't started to snow but it was already very cold (probably the coldest temperatures I've ever experienced). My face, especially my cheeks were soo red from the exposure to direct cold wind...I didn't realise just how red until I looked in my reflection and it was like I'd gone overboard with bright red blush powder and did the whole cheek instead of the highlight of the cheek bones as make up artists suggest to do for 'the ideal blush look'...the shock of the red cheeks happened when we were near the forbidden city.
On arrival to the Great Wall of China it felt even colder...still wasn't snowing mind you, but because we were on higher mountains the temperatures must've been colder there...the only reason I didn't end up noticing the cold after arrival was because of the climb up the steps must've increased my body temperature. Climbing the Great Wall of China was one of the most tiring uphill climbs I've ever done, totally worth doing though for the views along the way and at the top...which was one of the tower posts.

It's common in my town to get over 100 Fahrenheit (37.77777777777778 Celsius) for extended periods of time.
We make fun of New Yorkers and etc who cry about it being in the high eighties. This summer it was over 110(43.333333333333336celcius) for a week. And we're in the oil field region. I felt sorry for all the men and week on working in it.
They have to wear thick bodysuits in that weather.
So I know how it is and it's not cool at all. Sorry ling. :( I hope it cools off soon!

Having to wear thick bodysuits in that heat? What type of work is it that they do CosmicFoxKitty?
Each year before Christmas...in November there is a Christmas Pageant here....basically a spectacle of a parade with many floats and paraders in costumes...and the last float each time is Santa Claus on his float with sleigh and reindeer... Sadly one year the man who was Santa Claus suffered heat stroke before his float left to be the last one in the pageant. But fortunately, since then, the organisers are more prepared and have two men dressed as Santa and they somehow alternate during the pageant with the one not on the float in an ambulance following close by just in case.

They irk on the rigs, meaning with fire and oil. So the body suits are to protect them.
That sounds crazy!!!

Yes, it is crazy for Santa Claus in Australia to have to dress in a full Santa suit; boots, long sleeved coat and pants (at a time of year when it's usually warm) just because the one in the Northern Hemisphere wears the same in his cold wintery place.

I'd probably be one of those, germany isn't a hot country either, and I'm really sensitive towards heat already.

I haven't been too active on Mene lately. But I should at least explain that and the lack of pictures/gifs as well. You see you guys... I'm a sith lord.

I even killed Darth Vader, stole his light saber, and became Darth Sidious's new apprentice.

So, at least, now you see, this a perfectly legit excuse.
