A good cannibalism joke makes the day a brighter one, unless you're the one roasting over the open fire.

Then it's just unbearabley warm and filled with pain! :D
As a personal preference, I'd prefer not to be chestnuts roasting on an open fire. I don't need Bing Crosbey singing about me popping whilst I'm in agony.

There are worst things than popping while Bing Crosby tells everyone how frightful it is outside, like being drugged asleep, locked in a tower and raped by the prince who is suppose to save you. It's all about perspective.

Anne Rice wrote under a different name and she wrote about sleeping beauty. It was the naughty version. That series is amazing and makes 50 Fifty Shades of Grey look tame.

Fifty shades is terrible anyway and ain't true BDSM. -shudders-
"Do I afraid you?" and "yankity spankity" literally came from that book apparently. While those are hilarious, what kinda smut says that shit? D<

I started to read the 50 Shades of Grey series and quickly grew bored with the C level writing and lack of imagination. Women and some men are gullible and dumb if they read those stories and tried to act them out. Gag. I'm sure that many a BDSM groups were beset by wanna be players. I feel for those groups. So very misunderstood.
Can't remember the pen name she used, in fact, I need to get my set back from my friend that has had them for quite some time. Those books straight up got me through the year that my husband was on deployment in Afghanistan and Spain.

Yeah, the BDSM community weren't happy! A lot of groups that are sexual though (and that aren't even harmful or illegal unless abused) are shamed or misunderstood. the rules of BDSM is really to keep it safe, sane, and consensual. So..if they aren't those things, it ain't right! Plus, there were scenes where Christian his Anastasia's tummy with stuff (AND WHEN SHE WAS PREGNANT IN THE LATER BOOKS- an dyes, if you didn't know, there's a whooole series and a version fo the first book in Christian Grey's point of view.) and I'm like fUCK THAT. Society REALLY is like ew sex- at least in america. It's one thing to be sex repulsed or asexual, that's an orientation thing. But people shouldn't be shamed unless what they're doing is illegal and/or harming people!
Google likely has the answers. Anne Rice Sleeping beauty might get ya something. But wow! Glad those books helped, haha. xD I can imagine those were rough periods all around though, with him gone. And in Afghanistan, no less. x.x

The two roughest days were when he left California for Norfolk Virginia, he was there for three weeks of briefings and what not, and the second day was when he left there and went to Kuwait. I cried both days. He was able to call right before he left each day, so I had that to cling too.
Because he was on the base he had access to the phone and would call me once a week when he had some down time. We never spoke of the heavy things happening in our lives, just hearing the other's voice helped.
Plus my friend Jennie was there as support for me, along with my family. Jennie's boyfriend at the time was a Marine and he had gone to Iraq. I was her support during his deployment. She has since married a man in the Air Force and they lived in Mississippi and are now back in California. We saw them a couple of years ago before she got pregnant, we got smashed! One of the best times ever.
Makes you wonder how much damage those books did to the community and people's perception of what BDSM truly is. Now, it's not my cup of tea, but I would never shame someone for finding their pleasures in that kind of sexual play. In fact, my boss opened up to me that she did enjoy it for awhile and does enjoy being a sub. Glad she found what makes her happy, that's all that matters to me.

Oh man. x.x Being married to someone in the military sounds hard, yeesh. That REALLy sounds like it was such a hard time, I'm so glad he was able to call you sometimes though, and that you had support! That's the best things really to have in such situations; support from loved ones! You two were/are great friends who supported each other during rough spots, and that's great. :) Kudos to you two!
Oh wow, congrats to her on the baby! 8D I bet it was a fun time though, get smashed with her, haha! xD
I don't know how much damage exactly, but I hope people who decided to get into it did some research before hand. Doing stuff that involve physical pain or restraints DOES require caution! Safety is SUCH a huge key, and I fear for people who don't take proper precautions. While I don't do the life style, I know if I did anything that has/had to do with pain, I'd certainly want to be very careful and avoid certain areas. Esp with bondage. I am VERY sensitive, personally, about my torso area. I don't like anyone putting pressure on my tummy or ribs, it freaks me out. I'm scared my ribs will break, which is kinda silly, but I'm a nervous person. BDSM stuff also takes a lot of trust, and boundaries need to be set. Ba d communication and lack of trust- like with any relationship- can cause hurt feelings and just for things to deteriorate between the parties involved. So really, for those who don't realize it, there's a lot more involved in such things! Same here, though! I'm glad she found something she enjoys. ^-^

Her husband and my husband just laughed at us and rolled their eyes. They are such good guys and tolerate our shenanigans so well. Granted, her husband Mike met me on a night that I was being particularly vicious to an acquaintance. Cynthia totally deserved every minute of my animosity. Stupid cow. To this day I despise her as a human being and do get a little mad that she pollutes my air. But I digress.
Being tied up and restrained has never been something that turns me on in the bedroom. Some spanking, that's cool, hair pulling but the choking, not a big fan. I'd be that person though with a safe word like Spatula, or Fork.

Mike actually thought it was hilarious once he got to know Cynthia. He finds her to be about as useless as I do. He's a good guy. Jennie lucked out with him. Mike is currently military police in the Air Force, has his own K-9 partner.
