I didn't get that into Black Beauty, but I loved Little Women and several of the other stories about young girls.

I found the Black Stallion and the other books in the series to be more fascinating than Black Beauty, but the horse lover in me loved them all, so yeah. Kind of a weird one.

Little Women was a fantastic book! Great character development and it didn't get dull like I thought it would.

I remember one year when some classes at school had to read Jane Eyre. No one liked it. They thought it was so boring and needlessly lengthy. Me? My class read The Picture of Dorian Gray. Heart. Broken. It turns out the version of Jane Eyre I read was shortened so a kid could read it, but still. I would've loved to have read the whole one, even if for school.

Jane Eyre never intrigued me that much and I found Emma to be a slow read. But we all have books that suck us in from the first and some that we have to struggle to find an interest in.

I thought so little about what I was reading that I didn't realize the stories weren't taking place in the modern day until not many years ago. It's so hard to explain what it's like for me when I read or watch something, but I wish I knew how to. It's so interesting to me and seems so different from everybody else.

I went for matching Kenome-Chan's current one, and she's brilliant.

Shadami, I think you should give it another try. The story is a beautiful one and like I said, the music is fabulous.
required getting ahold of it. And I keep getting told this and I just haven't brought myself to do it yet. oogie boogie doesn't sit well with me in my memory.

Nothing like a good chunk of explanatory text to put me over 195k.

It's interesting how I've observed the older folks are the ones who don't know what to do without the new technology while the kids adapt quickly to a loss of such things.
