So incredibly stressful. Well, no, not really, just annoying. I'm well known for exaggeration. Luckily Internet is running right again!

How's it going for you?

Sounds rough. Hopefully you can get something soon! Best not to settle, though. At least you're working where you like! Really sounds fun.
In my Internet absence, I've been working on a new story. I'm actually hoping it'll be permanent, so I'm doing much better. Even with research, going with a location I grew up in for a good long while before moving.
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be allowed to post it here.

heh No settling, actually it's more like finding something I can agree on with my sister. It's going to take a while, lol.

Oh story!! Yeah I need to settle down and choose one of mine to work on. Also .. I've decided to try my hand at bookbinding, just waiting for a library book to come in so I can read about it and actually have instructions to follow before just randomly trying my hand at it.

As for posting it .. There's the literary forum isn't there? Though I'd be careful about putting it up online where anyone can see, since some publishing companies might consider it already published and won't want to touch it.

Sounds like it. I personally hate apartment living, mostly with the... people...

Oh? That's a good thing to get into, you can bind your own stories and books when you get them done and restore your old books on your own! Doesn't seem too difficult, I've seen it done before. Just takes a bit of patience.

Well, yes, but I don't think it fits the PG-13 rating of Menewsha. I mean... I have a lot of detail in the death and massacre situations. I was thinking about relocating the chapters in my Google Documents, though, if you'd like to read it? Let me know how I'm doing... In my Google Documents I can share it with specific people, that way it's not open to anyone.

I like living in a house more, but I don't really have a choice since I'm moving to go to college for a business degree. It's a lot cheaper if I do it this way.

hehe Actually I can think of a book that needs restoring at the moment. It'll be a good thing, might help me finish my stories so I can bind them together. Well now I know what I'm giving my mom for Christmas anyway ... XD She's always complaining about me never finishing stories, because she gets really into them but never knows the ending. Giving her a hand bound volume of my stories would surprise her I'm sure!

I wouldn't mind reading it over, that's for sure. Though right now I'm reading two books so adding another to the mix wouldn't be a good idea, lol.

*purrs* Thanks for the update! I've been incredibly busy and swamped with school. Not to mention a bazillion threads. . . .

I'm ashamed of how many threads I have on this site. . . . *grimace*

True. You just can't compromise sometimes until it's the right time.

That's actually a good idea. Maybe I should learn to bind books as well... I'd be able to actually print out my stories and bind them up myself, and only have to pay for the supplies for binding. I usually just email stories to my friend, who tends to hate me because I suddenly just stop writing. But I like this one, I'll stick with it for a good long time. And then force myself to finish it! But I can't let quality suffer, mind.

Then I'll just have to wait. You need to finish those two books. Personally I've never been able to read more than one book because I like focusing on one storyline at a time. That's why I can't read a book and write a book at the same time. I keep chapters short, though. About eight or nine pages at the most, so far.

Whoops, Esmme! I didn't see you post! Keep those threads in line! And school comes first, woman! I'll have to come find you if you even think about putting it aside.

Well I was looking around for tutorials, and found a few on deviantart.com. You just need to type in bookbinding tutorial in the search bar. haha Oh yeah that happens to me more often then not, though there are some stories I always keep coming back to and end up working on over and over again.

I got used to reading more then one book in school, because I'd still read my pleasure book along with the one assigned as homework. More often then not I'd read a few chapters ahead of what I was supposed to and answered all the questions the teacher asked in class. ^^

*purrs* Aww, thanks Tachi! LOL!!! I would be totally creeped out if my Mene friends found me. . . . :insane: I'll get my test finished by tomorrow, and then I'll work on replies. :3

Forgive my lateness!

@Paps: Well, Es has over 40 threads that are usually quite active, and that means that Es is on Mene more than 4 hours a day. >.>' Almost every day. That (to Es) is too much, though she does it anyway. LOL

Oh, that works for me. No person-interaction.... Yes, that works very well for me!

I only went to school in the last few years. When we read books, I'd finish it in a few days and be able to answer all the questions, and afterward, could read my usual books. Really annoyed my teacher, but he couldn't do anything about it.

Es: Lateness forgiven, if you'll forgive mine! Also, I won't come find you. I don't have that much interest. I'll just threaten you.

Well there's that or ordering books trough the library. lol Either way works, I just want to read about it. It's really interesting once you start thinking about it, and the fact that it's an art that's been done for hundreds of years without really being considered that. Not by most contemporary standards of art, no, it's a craft instead.

lol My teacher always had to tell me to let someone else answer.

Yes... Or Youtube, it'll probably have extensive archives of bookbinding tutorials, among Maru and Pony episodes... I might take a look later on. Indeed, though, it was once considered an everyday skill for a lot of people. Something you just did without even being noted as an art, or craft in any way.

I never even asked to answer a question. I just sat in my back-corner desk and kept my head low in the book and didn't look up unless someone specifically spoke to me. Like that idiot teacher.

hehe I went trough a brief MLP phase, but it's passed now. Yeah but then again, at first it was mostly in monestaries .. I think. See this is why I'm ordering books in, so I can get some background on bookbinding too.

You're not that much of a people person are you?

It's not a phase. Now that it's been revived in a better stance and no longer conforms to female stereotypes, I'm among the massive male fanbase it's acquired over a very short time. Much better than most of the dredged-up crap shown on television nowadays. But it's in a hiatus for the season. We have to settle for reruns.
Yes, I believe so. Because monks tended to be the copiers, writing and writing, then binding their writing into identical copies of the original books.

Absolutely not. I specifically have two adult friends, and one child friend who is the daughter of one of the adult friends. That would be the end of my circle. Save the people I speak with here....

Oh I meant it was one for me, that's all. I still like Sailor Moon better, but I grew up on the stuff and just adore the storyline. It might be one of the reasons why I love writing and drawing. It is definitely one of the reasons why I started drawing anyway.
Illuminations, now those are works of art!

I won't even try to list all the people I consider friends, plus the ones from here.. Long list. lol I'm more of a people person then I thought.

Well I don't normally go for cartoons or animated shows, usually I stick with reality forensic shows, hour-and half-hour long shows like that on Tru TV and ID. I know I can't draw, that's for sure... Papi, do you have an art shop here? I thought I'd seen you listed while reviewing some threads in the Art Shops...
I do know that some of the horror movies and shows I watch when not watching forensic shows got me into writing. But I can't write romance. It's difficult, nearly impossible for me. I don't think that'll ever change.

Well, those three people in reality... Then Roza, and hopefully you, Papi. And some others, most definitely.

Well the animated shows tend to have that fantasy element I'm so fond of ... Then there's Once Upon a Time and Grimm. Love those shows! Hmm, I watch some things on ID sometimes as well. I do, though it hasn't been really active since I'm horrible at actually drawing up the commissions in a reasonable amount of time. Basically I gave up on it. ^^'

Well I've always wanted to write, and I can't write horror ... That might change, lol. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime.

Of course Tachi! Why wouldn't I be?

I do have a like of fantasy. Really it's open for anything to happen, and that really lets my ideas that are far too outlandish for other storylines fly. I tried to get into Grimm, but didn't really like it. And I never caught the first episode of Once Upon a Time, so... I'm not starting it in the middle of a season. I'll have to find the episodes I haven't seen first. Ah, I see. It's all right; I'd thought about starting up a little art shop, but I'm terrible at time management when it comes to drawing, if I can even eke out something acceptable, so I decided against it...

Well, the one I'm working on now is horror. I can let you read the first chapter if you'd like to take a page from my book, if you're thinking about even starting one as practice.

I don't know... I can't even answer those questions, I suppose I'm a little too worried about things like that. Clingy, maybe is a better word.

Piers Anthony has some pretty outlandish things in his Xanth series. I like Grimm because it put such a new twist on the old tales and it mixes in murder mysteries, so yeah .. XD Once upon a time, well the first season is done now. Mr. Gold why did you have to go and do what you did? lol Yeah .. I tried but came to the conclusion that it was better I didn't.

I might just go out and take some Stephen King books from the library, after reading that chapter of yours.

It was more rhetorical then anything else. You're fun to talk with, we have some things in common and it's easy to get into friendly discussions.
