"Take it easy." Alex warned as she reached out to help steady Angi and to give him a shoulder to lean on when he was ready to stand again. "I'm sure she's not to far. She's trained to stay within ear shot and is too much of a coward to go very far from me." Alex said with a slight shake of her head, and a slight grin.

Agni leans against her. "I just knew if she didn't move she would have died." He says still a little uneasy on his feet. If it hadn't been for her he wouldn't be able to stand. "I wish I had enough strength to hunt." He mumbles. He knows he would feel better if he could get food into him.

Alex looked around at the blood staining the ground and shook her head slightly. This wasn't a good place to stay, it would probably attract predators soon. She looked at Angi, they weren't going to get very far though if he couldn't walk. She spent a few moments trying to figure out what to do.
Finally she whistled sharply, and listens for a second, the silly mule better still be in earshot. The sound of hooves crashing through the under brush made her breath a sigh of relief.
As she waited for her horse to find it's way back to them she looked at Agni. "We should find somewhere to camp for the night and then I'll see about hunting." She smiled at him.

"A place to rest would be good." He said with a smile. He was glad to see the horse return. The horse would make traveling easier for him, if it would let him ride it. It was very skittish around him, not that he didn't understand why. He also knew, deep down, that to defeat his brother he would have to break the promise he had made himself and turn into a dragon. But even then he would be out classed. He sighed audibly not sure what to do.

The horse made it's way to them, seeming glad to see Alex though it still eyed Agni warily. With a few commands she had it standing still long enough for Alex to help Agni into the saddle. The horse turned it's head and stared at them but other then a little unhappy fidgeting made no move to get remove it's new rider from the saddle.
"Hopefully there's somewhere not to far away that would make a safe camp site. " Alex said with a sigh. She was rather tired at the moment since it had been a very eventful couple of days. To be honest she was rather eager to take off the heavy armour she wore to travel.

Agani is lightheaded but fights to stay conscious. He does his best to help get on the horse, very glad when he isn't thrown from tthe creatures back. "I believe there is a town not to far from here." HE says. "You could find me a place in the woods and once I am settled stay in an inn." He wants her to be as comfortable as possible.

Alex snorted and shook her head. "No not tonight." As she took the horses reins and led it from the battle site. "You can barely even sit up straight. I'm not leaving you alone in the woods, what if your brother came back. I can handle one night of camping just fine." She turned her head and smiled at him "Thank you for the kind thought though."

Agni nods, grateful for that. THough he does worry about her. They travel for a bit before finding a nice clearing well off the main road. He sinks to the ground when he helps him off the horse. He groans.

"You try and get some rest, I'll see about setting up a camp and getting us some decent food. In the meantime, " She said going to her saddle bags and pulling out some dried meat. "Eat this." After she had handed it to him she went about pulling out her camping supplies and gathering firewood for a fire.

Agni watches her as she work. He is just taken in by her beauty. He eats the dried meet. He's grateful for her and what she's doing. Grateful that she trusted him enough to travel with him and fight by his side. He starts to drift off to sleep.

When Alex noticed Agni falling asleep she went and grabbed one of her spare blankets and draped it over him. She looked down at him and sighed. In the solitude of the forest her thoughts returned to her feelings for the dragon.
She had never really had feelings for anyone before. Most men saw her as another one of the guys and were put off by her unwomanly behaviour.
Alex sighed again and shook her head going to finish setting up camp and do enough hunting to get them both fed, the whole time her thoughts on Agni, and if she liked him as more then a friend and if he had any interest in her like that.
After she finished hunting Alex made herself comfortable by the fire, as she waited for Agni to wake up. She had planned to fix a bit of broken strap on her armour but instead ended up staring into the fire lost in though.

Agni slept for many hours. He woke up with a moan stretching. He winced still very sore. He saw the blanket and smiled knowing Alex had to have put it on him. He looked to Alex and watched as she watched the fire. "Did you have luck hunting?" he asked after a moment. He was ravished.

Alex jumped a little at the sound of Agni's voice, than turned and smiled at him. "Oh you're awake." She said sounding relieved. "I did have some good luck." She put the armor off to the side and stood, coming over to him. "I made stew because it would keep better and I didn't know how long you would be asleep." She hesitated slightly only now thinking he might not like stew. "Is that alright?"

"I have never had stew and am looking forward to tasting it." He said with a smile as he is served the soup. He stared into his soup for a long while. "I am unsure if we would be able to defeat my brother on our own. Even if I were to break my vow to myself and turn into a dragon." He let out a defeated sigh.

Alex watched him as she though about the situation. His brother was a tough opponent, she had to agree with just the two of them it would be a difficult task. "I suppose we could look for others to help us." She said hesitantly "Though I am not sure who might be willing." She did not add it was because she didn't think she knew anyone willing to work with a dragon.
"Though if I may ask..." She paused for a second not sure if this was a good subject to ask about given Agni's current mood, then perused it anyway "Why did you vow not to take on your dragon form?"

Agni was silent for a long while. He knew with him around it would be next to impossible for them to find any help. He let out a small sigh. "Most dragons are like my brother. And I've never been like them. I was always picked on... and I decided I wanted to be as different as them as possible."

Alex though about what Angi said for a few moments, a slightly confused look coming to her face. "So because you don't like who they are you let them decide who you should be? That doesn't make any sense to me..." She trailed off and blushed as she realized what she had said and how it had likely sounded.
"I'm sorry." She apologized quickly expecting him to be angry with her now. "I shouldn't have said that, I'm sorry."

"This is who I am." He says. "This is who I am." Though maybe she was right. But he wouldn't break the promise he had made himself. He leans against the tree.

"As long as you are happy as you are then I suppose it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks." Alex smiled, glad that he hadn't taken her thoughtless words as an insult.
"Your brother is strong." She admitted going back to the original topic "But I'm sure if we work together we will find some way of defeating him."

"There is no way I could in this form." He said softly. If he were being honest with himself he wasn't happy, not really. He was lonely, so very lonely. He closes his eyes for a moment a few tears slide down his cheeks.

Alex noticed Agni's tears and bit her lip. Emotions were not really her strong point and she really had no idea what she should say or do.
After staring awkwardly for a moment she stood and went to him. She rested a hand lightly on his shoulder "Are... you alright?" She asked hesitantly.

Agni got himself under control before opening his eyes. He smiled softly. "Just feeling lonely." He said touching her cheek soflty.

Alex blushed softly and smiled "You don't have to be lonely." She said gently "I'm here to keep you company."

"And for that I am grateful." But what will happen when this is over. He pulled her close and kissed her deeply.

Alex stiffened for a moment with surprise at the sudden kiss then sighed softly as she relaxed and melted into the kiss, enjoying it more then she would have thought she could.
