Anna chuckled but stayed there, getting comfortable. Yawning briefly, she cuddled against him, quite content with that for the time being.

Altair nodded and let her lead the way to the cafe they went to most nights. He ordered the same thing most of the time; he'd found something he liked and he was sticking with it. She tended to be a little more adventurous though.

Ezio kissed her again, a proper kiss this time, but didn't do more than that. They were both too tired from training for anything more.

Iris sat down across from him, as she usually did. The waiters recognized them by now and barely even paused to hand them menus before setting drinks down in front of them; Iris herself only glanced at the menu before picking something and handing it back. Then she sighed a bit and settled into her seat, rubbing her belly a little.

Anna hummed quietly, settling down again. Maybe in the morning she'd have the energy to properly follow up on that.

"Tired?" Altair asked quietly, glancing at her. She'd been sleeping better recently, but he knew that she didn't always. And growing a secnd person inside you had to take a lot of energy.

"You've been doing well with the trainees," Ezio commented softly as they relaxed there. "I'm pleased."

"A little," Iris admitted. "I'm just grateful the morning sickness is over. I've been able to sleep." She grinned a bit at him, teasingly. "I'm sure you've noticed?"

"Oh?" Anna glanced back at him. "That I'm doing well with them, that I'm doing well at all, or that you get to sit back and watch me run around all day?" Now she was teasing.

Altair nodded a little. "Yes. I'm glad you're able to sleep better. It's better for you both." He glanced at her belly meaningfully. Though it was still too soon to feel anything from the baby, that didn't stop Altair from trying.

"Pleased overall," Ezio replied with a grin, neatly sidestepping the impossible question. Ha, take that one, female logic.

"We'll see what happens once the baby starts to move," Iris said. She grinned a little bit. "I'm kind of looking forward to it." And she knew he was, too. She'd caught him feeling her belly more than once when he thought she was asleep.

Anna laughed quietly. "Well played, sir," she teased, reaching back to poke him in the ribs.

Altair hummed his agreement. Once the baby started to move, they'd know that all was well, and he was very much looking forward to that.

Ezio caught her hand out of reflex, but leaned in to kiss her again. He knew she was aware of where he was ticklish, and he wasn't going to give her the chance to exploit it at the moment.

Dinner was fairly quiet, although Iris didn't mind that. A quiet evening at the end of a long day was nice, sometimes. Although, now that she had Altair to herself, she was looking forward to getting back to their room, as well.

Anna grinned briefly but let him distract her for a few minutes. Then she settled against him again, almost perfectly content.

"You know what sounds fantastic right now?"

Altair paid (having been taught how modern money worked by one of the Italians) and walked with her back to their room. He still didn't like to walk hand-in-hand with her because it kept one of his hands tied up, but he would. Once in a while. When she asked.

"What?" Ezio asked in return, already having a fairly good idea.

To her credit, Iris didn't insist on it very often. She knew he didn't like not being able to use one of his hands if he needed to, so she didn't try to walk hand-in-hand with him all that much.

When they got back to the room, however, the first thing she did (after letting him do his habitual check) was lean up and kiss him soundly.

"Ice cream." Anna grinned. "I still have some of that dark chocolate gelato you like in the freezer." Because it had taken her almost a month of trying different flavors to get him to admit that he liked something, but she'd found at least three flavors that he liked, and damn it all if she wasn't keeping them stocked now.

Altair blinked, surprised by that, but had no problems at all returning it, winding his arms around her waist.

"What was that for?" he asked quietly when he pulled back, looking down at her.

Ezio raised an eyebrow.

"I hadn't realized you managed to find some," he said. He'd let her force different flavors of the stuff on him until he'd finally relented and tried some. To his surprise, he'd managed to find a few he liked.

"Because I wanted to," Iris replied, cuddling a bit closer to him. "And because you need to relax after working the trainees into the ground, and you have me all to yourself now." More like she had him all to herself, but it was really the same difference.

"Yup. I've still got half a carton of that, and I know where to get more." She grinned. "Come on. We've worked hard enough that we deserve a treat."

"Mmm." Altair pulled her a little closer. "That is a... relaxing thought." Actually, relaxing wasn't the right word, but it was close enough.

Ezio grinned a bit and let her up. To be honest, a little gelato did sound good. And not just because Anna wanted it too.

"After you, then, la mia dolce."

"I thought so too," Iris murmured back, kissing him again.

Anna grinned and padded over to the freezer, pulling out the gelato and two spoons. She didn't even bother with bowls, instead setting the gelato on the table and sitting down.

"See? Aren't you glad I made you try new things?"

After a few more minutes, Altair pulled her over towards the bed. It would at least be more comfortable than standing practically against the door.

"I still think those 'danishes' are not fit for human consumption," Ezio replied as he accepted one of the spoons. He gave her a quick kiss. "But otherwise..." He grinned a bit. "I have no complaints."

"Good." Anna grinned. "Keep that in mind next time I try to make you try something. I don't generally lead you astray, do I?" She grinned teasingly, digging out a spoonful of gelato.

"You led me astray the day we met," Ezio replied, grinning teasingly at her. It was cheesy even for him, and he knew it.

Anna gave him a Look. "That was horrible and you know it," she said, but that didn't stop her from leaning over to give him a kiss.

"But it was worth it to amuse you," Ezio replied, returning the kiss.

Anna smiled, pleased and amused at the same time, and settled back to enjoy her gelato and her Italian.

Ezio was more than willing to settle in for the evening with Anna. He even let her take the last of the gelato.

In another room, Iris was snuggling in under the blanket with Altair.

"Relaxed now?" she asked teasingly.

"Mmm." Altair pulled her closer, settling down. "This was a very enjoyable way to relax." Briefly he rested his head against hers.

"I'm glad you thought so," Iris replied. She snuggled closer to him, and smiled slightly when one of his hands wandered to her belly. He was always more affectionate with her in private, and she was used to it by now.

Altair settled down there, cosing his eyes briefly. This was what he looked forward to at the end of the day, although secretly of course. He'd gotten used to cuddling, and really it wasn't so bad.
