Altair blinked and looked down, his eyes widening a bit at the outline. This was the first time he'd seen the outline, and he was very pleased.

"I think he's trying to get comfortable," Iris murmured. The little silhouette vanished a moment later as the baby settled in. "Not that he has much space to move anymore, but still."

"Indeed." Altair smiled a little. "He'll get to come out soon enough." He smoothed a hand over her belly, for the moment pretending the other two didn't exist.

"I like how you're so convinced it'll be a boy," Iris teased him as she essentially let him 'pet' her. "We'll find out soon whether or not you're right."

Altair snorted. "You were refering to the baby as 'him' too," he reminded her gently.

"Occasionally," Iris admitted. "It doesn't seem right to say 'it' anymore."

Altair chuckled quietly and moved out of the way when Anna brought breakfast over to the table, setting the pans on mitts in the middle of the table.

"You all can serve yourselves, I'm too lazy."

Iris grinned a bit, but reached over for a plate. She was looking forward to breakfast.

"Thanks, Anna," she said as she got herself food.

"My pleasure." Anna grinned and waited for Iris to eat first before she snagged a piece of bacon, munching on it. Yay bacon.

Iris steadily made her way through her breakfast. Finally, she finished and set her plate aside, giving her belly a small rub.

"I think the baby wanted that even more than I did," she commented.

Altair just snorted and finished his own dinner. "He does seem rather hungry," he agreed, though his eyes glinted with humor.

Iris just rolled her eyes a bit at that.

They ended up getting another day or two of relaxation before re-training for the Americans started. Of course, after working with the Italians, Ezio thought this might be easier. He quickly realized his mistake.

More than once Anna had to step away from training so she wouldn't start throttling someone. The Americans were even lazier than the Italians, and had more bad habits. Their climbing was rudimentary, at best, since most of the cities in the US had buildings that were much more difficult to climb.

But that didn't want to make her throttle them any less.

Altair felt about the same way, his hands twitching occasionally when someone pissed him off with their ignorance or their laziness. Which was happening with increasing frequency.

Ezio was past the point of wanting to throttle someone. He had taken to using some of the laziest Americans as bad examples, and more than once he caught a few indignant looks as some of the Spanish-speakers managed to dissect his untranslated Italian vulgarities when he got too frustrated.

Iris, on the other hand, was bored to tears. With her due date so close, she wasn't allowed to do any more than watch the training, and she was just itching to do something besides sit around and wait.

Anna gave up on the group she was working with and told them to take a water break, going to flop down by Iris in the sun.

"I want to hit someone. Very very badly. Moreso than usual." She scowled up at the sky. "This is infuriating. Moreso than the Italians."

"I feel ashamed," Iris replied. "I don't want to call myself American anymore after seeing this lot."

"Nope. We're no longer American. We're now from the land of Apple." Anna grinned briefly. She found it fitting; after all, if they hadn't stumbled on the Apple, they would never have become Assassins, or known anything about this.

Iris snorted.

"That was bad," she said, sending her friend a look.

"I know it was," Anna said with a grin. "But you don't really care. Besides, it's accurate and you know it."

"Which just makes it worse," Iris pointed out. She grinned back, though. She knew Anna was joking around. Absently, she put a hand to her belly when the baby kicked. "I feel like I understand now why other nations tend to not like Americans all that much."

"Oh I know." Anna made a face. "I'm so annoyed at Americans in general right now." Then she sighed and looked out at their temporary training ground. "But I can't really do anything about it. This sucks."

"I wish I could help you beat them into the ground," Iris said. She made a face. "But at the moment I look like I somehow swallowed a basketball and I feel equally as whale-like."

Anna snorted. "Well, just think, in a few weeks you won't, and then I will be more than happy to sit back and watch you beat them around."

"And I will be pleased to do so," Iris replied with a bit of a grin. "Sounds like they desperately need the beating. Can they do anything, really?"

"Throw knives with deadly accuracy if you're a bright red broad-sided barn." Anna snorted derisively. "They can't really climb, their running sucks, their aim sucks. They even have weird ideas about stabbing things, probably from all the movies. I think these are probably the worst Assassins we'll have to deal with."
