Altair thanked them both for their help, making a mental note of the place. He'd be sure to be back again.

"Here," he said once he got back up to his rooms. "I got some things for you." He handed her the bundle.

Iris looked up from feeding the baby and smiled a bit.

"I'll take a look in a second," she said. "Amaya is almost done."

"Alright." Altair sat down briefly, stretching out a little. "I think everyone knows by now."

"I'd be surprised if they didn't," Iris replied as she waited for Amaya to finish. "People have always gossiped, and always will. You just saved them the trouble of speculating."

"It's best to not let them speculate too much, or I'll be having to defend my reputation for the rest of my life." Altair shrugged.

"True," Iris replied. She cuddled Amaya once the baby finished, and then handed her to Altair.

Altair bounced her gently, holding her gently so Iris could look through her clothing.

"I think we'll have to introduce you to the others soon," he said quietly. "If they all know already, I'm sure they'll all be curious."

"I'll follow your lead," Iris said as she sifted through the clothes and changed into something a bit more appropriate to the time. She smiled a bit. "Although, some people may end up being more curious about Amaya than about me."

"Oh, I'm sure they''ll be curious about the first woman to be let into my rooms." Altair smiled faintly, cuddling Amaya a little.

"Moreso than the man in charge suddenly having a child?" Iris asked, teasing him a little.

"Between the two, I'm sure everyone will be vying for a look." Altair almost sighed. He was a more private man by nature, and being the leader had its problems. Like everyone being interested in his business.

Leaning over, Iris gave him a kiss.

"I know you like your space," she said. She smiled slightly. "We'll have all the privacy you want later on."

"Good." Altair smiled faintly and relaxed a little. Life was good for the moment. And it would be better when people got used to Iris and Amaya and stopped being so curious.

Meanwhile, Ezio was facing a slightly different problem. In the 'few weeks' he had been away, the Templars had started acting up again, so he had to start whittling their numbers back down. At least this time, he had Anna to help him.

Anna, however, was still reluctant to kill, and hadn't done so yet. Beat them back, yes. Throw them in rivers, yes. Accidentally topple them off roofs and deliberately not look when they landed with a vague splat, yes. But she hadn't actually killed anyone yet.

Meaning she was feeling a little bit useless next to Ezio and the recruits they were gathering.

Ezio didn't push her, however. He could tell she wasn't quite ready to make her first kill. He would wait until she was ready. But that didn't stop him from cuddling with her in the evenings, however.

"The recruits are doing well," he commented to her one evening. "It is easier to train from scratch. No bad habits to break."

"No kidding," Anna grumbled, cuddling closer to him. "And they're not stubborn and full of themselves." Which was definitely a relief.

"Exactly," Ezio replied, pulling her close. "And I will make sure to enforce proper standards now before it becomes a problem."

"Oh I doubt it'll be a problem while we're around." Anna sighed quietly and stayed there.

"You know, I was thinking about something the other day."

"What were you thinking about?" Ezio asked. She sounded more serious than usual, so he paid attention.

"I know you were envious of Altair and Iris after Amaya." Anna couldn't quite look at him. "And it looks like we're going to be here for a while."

Ezio knew where she was going with that train of thought. He gave her a soft kiss.

"I am content to wait, la mia dolce. I will not push you into anything you are not ready for."

"Who says I'm not ready?" Anna looked at him, smirking faintly. "You know. Just saying." She couldn't help but grin.

Ezio raised an eyebrow.

"Well, if that is the case..." He kissed her. "Whenever you want, then."

Anna just chuckled. "And here I thought you'd be jumping all over this opportunity," she teased, grinning briefly. But she was too comfortable to really do anything more.
