Blood & Love Bonds
Thorne Conti
As the sole heir to the Conti legacy it would only be presumed that a high class wedding would be in order. The marriage was long since decided upon before the birth of their son as to assure that no problems would come about. Thorne was raised to be a perfect gentleman and to excel in every activity that he could participate in. Though to say he is a gentleman is far from true, while in public among those that he needs to be he will put on the façade his parents taught him. He is a rather arrogant fellow, full of pride that he is unwilling to let go of. It isn’t often that he lets people break through his walls. He prefers to be alone and claims that it is because no one is relevant enough to be around him. It isn’t at all a surprise that he tried everything he could to get out of attending the school his parents choose for him to go to ‘Felerco Grims’. His parents were fast to ship him off before their son could find a way to wiggle himself out of this mess. -------------------------------

Selene Alward

Selene is the only daughter of the Alward trading company family. Her family deals with tradesman from all over the world with the finest of materials of silks and rare artifacts. As such, she is expected to carry on that legacy by marrying into another noble family. The noble Conti family. She had only met the heir to the family once, and she was too young to remember much. As she begins her studies she is taught proper etiquette from the best scholars that have been gathered from all corners of the world. She is also taught to be flawless in her demeanor and her appearance as well, and to never show anyone her temper. She doesn't like being confined by rules and manners, so she sees going to school as a welcome freedom. She is expected to go to Felerco Grims like her parent's before her, and if what her parent's were saying was true she would be rooming with Thorne.

The cab was running horribly behind schedule as Thorne tapped his finger impatiently against window. He’d left the estate with plenty of time to spare, but somehow his driver had managed to waste all the time. He clicked his tongue lightly alerting his driver to his growing impatient with him. He caught sight of his eyes in the mirror and smirked at the frightened look in his eyes. It wasn’t proper to taunt people, but anything to relieve the stress. After all he was being forced against his will to attend a school. He had received all the necessary skills from private tutors, this was unnecessary in his eyes. It was simply a way for his parents to get what they wanted out of him. Just what that might entail he did not know as of yet.
The sudden halting of the cab broke Thorne’s train of thought and he looked up out the window at the tall building lying before him. He quickly removed himself from the cab before the drive could be of any assistance. He stalked off towards the school leaving the driver to gawk at him as he left him behind. His things had already been sent to the school and should be in there proper places. The only thing left for him to do was find his dorm and class schedule. What a pain it all was.
It wasn’t long before he had everything situated and was heading off the dorms. He’d been informed that he was to room with another noble, but their identity was hidden from him. It seemed useless, but he gave in with little trouble. He stopped at on the second level of the dorm and looked about for room ‘28’. He walked down the hall only taking note of two doors in the hall a ‘27’ & ‘28’ one for each side of the hall. He lightly knocked on the door before he began to open it. He’d been late after all it wouldn’t be a surprise if his roommate had arrived already.

((So I forgot to subscribe to this, and I have been wondering for a while if you were like upset with my profile or something, but then as I looked through my subscribed threads I didn't see ours, and I was like o.O Oh crud. So sorry for the lateness))
Selene didn't understand one bit why her parent's kept telling her that this was a necessary part of her life. She had always had private tutors wherever they had gone, they had traveled all over the world after all with her father's work, but right now they were in England again. Cracking her eyes open, she let out a small yawn. Rolling over she eyed the clock. It was too early for her to be getting up right now on any normal day, but this day wasn't going to be considered normal. Far from it. This was the day that she would be shipped off, her words not her parents, to her boarding school. She already knew that she would have to room with another noble. Selene never shared anything. She wasn't spoiled, but she never needed to share anything with anyone before.
As she got out of her bed a few maids came in from another room adjacent to hers. They began hustling around her, opening the blinds, talking to her in soft voices, and dressing her like she was some kind of expensive China doll. The rest of the morning went flashing before her. She didn't remember eating breakfast, or even saying goodbye to her parents. Then again, they were always busy, maybe she hadn't actually said goodbye to them. Soon she was ushered out the door and into the awaiting cab that was in front of their manor grounds.
Selene began losing track of time as the rolling hills swept by her, and she let out a sigh. She was worried about her new roommate as well. How was she supposed to act around the other. As the cab continued down the road she kept mostly to herself, and soon they were at the front gates of the school. She let the driver come around the corner, and open the door for her as she stepped out. Inhaling deeply she glanced up at the top of the school. This place would be her home for the coming years, if not more. Her stuff had already been delivered there a few days earlier, so all she needed to do was find her room and her schedule for the remaining months to come.
Finding her room on the second floor, it was room 28. She glanced at the floor, and noted that it didn't seem like there was a light on in the inside, so she opened the door. Once in she glanced around. The room was a modest size with two mirrors off to the side, and lots of wardrobe space. There was also a single bed in the middle. She narrowed her eyes at that. What was wrong with her parents?! She was not going to share a bed with someone. She would have to get that changed immediately when school began. For the time being though she could go and put her things away in the closet. A few hours must have passed because by the time she looked out the window again the sun was beginning to sink under the horizon. So many clothes so little time. Her sensitive hearing picked up a knock, and then the door began to open as the knob was turned. She hadn't thought that she had said come in, but it wasn't like she wasn't dressed or anything. Clearing her throat she said,"Come in." She then held her breath wondering who would be on the other side of the door.

The sound of a female’s voice puzzled Thorne as he stood in the door way. He had stopped mid-motion with the door blocking the view of the room before him. ‘A maid, this early into our arrival?’ He thought trying to rationalize the situation in his own mind. It would be absurd of him to assume that it was his roommate. What type of establishment for learning would this be if they did such a thing? He shook his head lightly ruffling his hair a bit as he closed the door behind him. He glanced up across the room fully expecting to see a maid bowing to him. What lay waiting was not a maid, his icy blue eyes stared blanking for a moment at the girl stranding across the room from him.
A huff escaped his lips as the situation sank in, “This is absurd, you must be in the wrong room Madam.” He squeezed out around his growing frustration at this. He began to pace a bit in front of the door, glancing up at the young lady every so often. “This is room ‘28’. You must be mistaken and belong in room ‘27’.” He said pointing in the direction of the room being mentioned as he paced continually.
He stopped in his tracks abruptly, taking a few calming breaths before he tried to correct this problem. He ruffled his hair with his hand as he looked up slowly. “I’m sorry for my action, but this is a rather ugly prob-…” He stammered as he looked up again getting a better look at the girl. If he had been smiling a moment ago it was wiped away now. He glared against the room intently. “Alward? Is that your last name?” He said harshly. He recognized this girl from somewhere and the vague memories did not seem all that pleasant. That really left him with a short list of females.
// XD That's fine, I've had my fair share of those incidents. Sorry it took me so long too >_< I had graduation & a ton of work holding me from the internet.

Selene must not have recognized the voice as belonging to a male, but as the door slowly slid open it revealed a male staring intently at her with icy blue eyes. Well, what was he expecting. A maid? Hardly, she was the daughter of a noble. Selene was about to introduce herself, but then she was cut off when the other began saying that she must be in the wrong room, and that she had been mistaken. Her eye twitched a little bit when the word madam hit her ears as well. She was young by both appearance, and by vampire standards. She was not a madam. "Surely," she began. "I am not mistaken. For this is indeed room 28, and the letter that I received from home stated that I would be rooming here." She paused before continuing. "Maybe you are the one that is mistaken because I am sure that no honorable school would room a male and a female together. It's just improper."
Selene didn't know if her words fell on deaf ears, or if male in front of her just chose to ignore her, but soon he was asking her name. Shouldn't it be the other way around. "How rude," she said. "Isn't it proper for a gentleman to say their names first before they demand the name of another?" As the two of them continued to stare down one another she had this sneaking suspicion that she knew him from somewhere. All manners aside she interrupted before he could tell her his name as she said,"What does my last name matter to you. Besides, why would you know me or my family?" She didn't care much for this first impression. It would only be a matter of time before this male in front of her would be moved to another room. She wasn't leaving. Period.

'Improper?' He thought to himself in a sarcastic tone. 'As if I didn’t already know that.' He stood there quietly as she finished her Rant, which was how he saw it, though it took much of his patients to do so. When she finished her last question he let out a sigh of relief and annoyance. This was the precise reason he had not wanted to go to a school. “Well, if one of is mistaken then it solely because we were given the wrong information. You have your letter and I was told upon my arrival by the Head Master. Clearly, this can be worked out in a more…sensible manor.” He said with a little smile, but the smile didn’t quite reach his eyes leaving them cold as he stared back at her. “Please forgive my rudeness, Miss. I am merely in a state of shock at the situation at hand, but I will not use that as my excuse for lack of manners. So, I will ask for your forgiveness.” He lightly bowed to her, but his eye never left hers. “I am a Noble’s Son, is it not my job to know other Noble families?” He said in a false joking tone to her as he stood there before her. “My name is Thorne Conti, it is a… pleasure to meet you…?” His words drifted off into a question as he realized that he did not know her name yet, though he knew she seemed familiar to him.

Selene found herself aghast when he saw the sudden demeanor of the male in front of him change. What had once been arrogance was now replaced with humbleness. What was unnerving though was that even though Thorne's demeanor had changed, there was still a challenge in the other's eyes.
Swallowing, she felt herself blush a little when his voice hit her ears. He had the voice of an angel. She suddenly felt ashamed of herself. She was asking him about his manners. Now where were hers?! She hadn't introduced herself at all either. Curtseying she said," Oh where are my manners? It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Selene Alward. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, even under these dire circumstances." She tried to be as sweet as possible as well, but she also let her sarcasm hang in her words. This truly was an unfortunate incident that she had at hand. One that would be rectified by the end of the day. "So," she continued as she shuffled on her feet. "Let's say we go to the Headmaster's Office to get this all sorted out." She walked back out the door to wait for the other in the hallway.

Thorne had a mental sigh of relief when she didn’t escalate the matter to a new level. He was annoyed enough with the situation he didn’t need an angry young lady to add to the matter. He'd had his fill of those back at home; he did not want them to follow him here as well. It wasn’t as if he thought he could not handle the matter, because he had been trained to be handle situations similar to this or at least had become accustom to it. His eyebrow arched slightly at her curtsey and change in manner, but he smiled back like he should have. He inclined his head slightly, “I can assure you, Miss Alward, the pleasure is mine, though I must say your name and appearance seem rather familiar to me.” He said with a small chuckle, “Maybe we have met before in our past or I am simply delusional because of the current situation.” The small hint of humor in his voice did not reach his eyes as he stared at Selene examining her with the hope that her identity might clarify itself. Because, he could not shake the feeling that he had met her before and it wasn't pleasant.
“What a wonderful idea, surely this can all be corrected with this visit.” He said to her back as she walked out of the room before him. His eyes must have been burning a hole in her back as he stared into it, searching for any memories that might muster up. Alas, nothing came forward and his mood turned even sour with the failure. A huff of frustration and anger escaped his lips as he tore his eyes from her back. “Please allow me to lead the way, Miss Alward, or may I call you Selene?” He asked half-heartedly as he walked up to her side looking down at her.

When Thorne spoke, she felt a small shiver run up her spine. As she looked him up and down again something continued to nag at her. She knew that she had seen him somewhere, but with all the parties that she had gone to throughout her years she was not sure where she had seen him from. Maybe, it was one of her own parties for her birthday. Shaking her head, she shrugged a little as she waited for Thorne to go before her. Before she could think about what the other person had said she found herself say," Sure you may call me Selene." She pursed her lips. She put a little flirtation in her voice as she continued by saying," Only if I can call you Thorne."
As the two of them continued to walk down the long, ornately decorated hallways she began to make a mental map of the way back to her room. She liked the room, at least what she had seen of it, and she knew that if the Headmaster was any form of a gentleman that he would make Thorne move to another room, leaving her with the room to herself. Stopping in front of a door that had a plaque on the front of it in golden letters. It read Headmaster. Walking next to Thorne, she knocked on it softly as she called out," Headmaster Dornar are you busy at this moment. My name is Selene Alward, and I have some things that I would like to discuss with you."

A smile formed on his lips at her quick and pleasant response to his question and a few sparks of amusement managed to reach his eyes. 'This is much easier than I expected it to be, they all eat out of the palm of my hand beautifully.' Dealing with females did seem like one of his strong points to him, though hardly one of his favorite ways to pass the time. “Of course” He chuckled lightly, “How could I not want a beautiful young Lady calling my name, it shall be like music to my ears.” He smiled at his little jest. The things he said to young ladies of noble families never seized to amaze and disgust him. He shrugged it off and continued his walk to what he hoped would her cure him of this nightmare. He took the lead for the moment leading her down the hall he had just so recently came from. He motioned to the door a head of them. “Here we are.” He said as he stopped just before the door, looking down at the petite girl next to him. He watched her knock on the door and introduce herself with little interest, but still managed to find it somewhat amusing. Though this whole mess was annoying and a nuisance it was still somewhat amusing in his eyes.
“You may enter.” A strong male’s voice answered her call. Thorne reached for the door before Selene had the chance opening it for her and himself. He gestured for her to enter a head of him and once she was in he closed the door gently behind him. He smiled brightly at the man sitting behind his large desk as he took a seat before him for the second time today. He waited patiently with a smile for the Headmaster to acknowledge their presence. “What is it that you both must speak to me about?” The Headmaster asked them with a quick questioning look as he ruffled through some papers before him, clearly somewhat annoyed and curious to the sudden need to discuss something with him.
[ I'm going to Bold what the Headmaster says just so that it's a little clearer as to who is speaking. & if you would like to speak as him you may as well, I just figured it would get things moving quicker this way. ]

Selene found herself smiling when Thorne opened the door for her. Thorne truly was a gentleman in everything that he did. She walked passed the other male into the well decorated office of the Headmaster. The Headmaster's rich voice reached her ears as she came to stand in front of him. She shuffled, before she said anything in response since she was not sure on how to go about the topic.
"Well," Selene began. "Sir Conti and myself are having some problems." The Headmaster finished shuffling his papers around as he looked at her over his closed hands.
"And what might that be?" asked the Headmaster.
She didn't know how to go about saying something. It should have never been a problem to begin with. "Sir Conti and myself are roomed in exactly the same room. As an honorable school I would imagine that a male and a female would not be able, if not allowed, to room in a room together," continued Selene.
The Headmaster hummed, as he looked towards the duo that was standing in front of him. Selene looked to be in tears at the predicament, but Thorne had an almost arrogant cool about him. "As you know, this school is an invitation only school. We just don't have the capacity to give you two separate rooms yet. So please bear with it for the time being. Given its prestige, the administration believes that in the coming weeks people will drop out because this school is not right for them."
As the Headmaster spoke, Selene could feel her cheeks begin to burn. How was it possible that she would have to live with Thorne for at least another week, if not more. This was beyond inexcusable. Sucking in air, she began to pace as she tried to sort it out in her mind. she wouldn't go crying to her father to fix this. She was not going to rely on her father to help her sort out this mess.
((Makes sense. I moved it along a little as well. Question, I forgot on how they met each other. I mean I know they met at some noble party or something. However, was it planned by their parents that they would meet again at the school. So, even if Selene did call to pester her father for help, he would tell her that there was nothing that he could do because he wanted them to be together.))

The blonde followed the petite girl in remaining behind her even after she had already stopped. She seemed to have this under-control at the moment so there was no need for him to be up front and center with her. Besides what was there for him to say other than what she would state and at this point he was simply indifferent about who claimed the room they were currently in as long as it was fixed. Though he would be pleased if it was her to go rather than him, having all his things moved to another room would be a nuisance. The thought of sending her packing did amuse him ever so slightly and his smile reflected that. The little form of happiest was shatter the moment the Headmaster told them there was little to be done about the matter at this point. His smile was practically wiped clean for a moment before he could regain some self-control.
“I understand, Sir. This must be a frustrating time for you and Administrations, but I would rather not be any more of burden for Miss Alward. Is there not another room that one of us may lodge in that would be more comfortable for us?” He asked as calmly as he could manage at the moment, which to his surprise came out to be rather calm and composed. “Every room that we currently have is already filled with other students. Your rooming situation was an unfortunate and unforeseen problem for the school. Though I would like to fix it for you, I am sorry to say that there is absolutely no fix until another spot in a room becomes available.” Thorne smiled and bowed his head slightly, though he wanted to scream and demand to be told why such an event could ever happen. If this school was as prestigious as everyone had made it out to be such an error should never have had happened. But, he repressed the urge to act like a pampered Noble’s child, though that was what he was. “Thank you for informing us of the situation. I am sure that Miss Alward and I will find a way to work through this problem until you can fix it.” He turned quickly on his heels to leave, but paused for a moment looking down at Selene his eyes held a look of annoyance, anger, and hatred. Though it wasn’t entirely directed at her, but more at the situation they had been put in she was just a nice target to vent it out on.
Thorne left the Headmaster's office leaving Selene behind and he didn't bother to look back to see if she might have decided to follow. He stalked down the hall cursing under his breath as he ran his hand through his blonde locks. “If this school is upon Invitation only, why send out more invitation than you have rooms?” He asked a loud for anyone to hear and answer. He hissed in frustration pulling on a handful of hair for a moment before he released it. “This is a joke; they expect me to room with that young lady?” His voice echoed as he moved further down the hall. "They truly did ship me off to Hell this time." He said as he approached their room. He stopped as he reached the door to their room. He gave it a look of utter disgust before he raised his fist and hit it. His façade of being a Gentleman had crumbled, but at this point there wasn't a care or need to have it. He leaned up against the door resting his forehead against his raised arm. "What have I done to endure such torment?"
[Yes, you are correct that their parents are the ones that have organized for them to meet at school and to room together, since they have already determined that their children are to be married, whether we decide that they told or did not tell their children. So, it would probably be safe to say that they would have something to do with the Headmaster's response to their problem.]

Selene continued to stare. How could this be happening?! Surely people could be moved around to accommodate both her and Thorne's rooming situation. She was an Alward, things like this just didn't happen around her. It was absurd! Completely preposterous that something like this could even possibly happen to her! Stamping her foot, she eyed Thorne as he exited out of the room. Sucking in air, she curtseyed to the Headmaster before following out after the other male. She stayed behind him as he began his verbal tirade, being angry at mostly anything that moved. She didn't know if the other male would be uncontrollable as his anger went every which way.
As she continued to listen she stopped, thinking about what the other was saying. He was absolutely 100% correct. They shouldn't have to put up with this. She should be calling her parent's now. They would fix everything. They were rather large donors to the school. They were bound to be able to shift a few things around for her and for Thorne. She wasn't angry at him, but she was angry at the whole situation. It wasn't fair for either of them. Maybe in another setting, they would be able to become friends.
She could tell that they were back in the dormitory area again by the way that the doors were spaced apart. As she rounded the corner that led to her own hallway, she winced as she instinctively drew back a little bit. Thorne had punched the door to their room with a sickening crack. She faltered, as she ducked around the corner again. She had never been around violence much. Hell, she had never been around much of anything that was confrontational. Her parent's had always made sure that she had a sheltered life away from things like violence and gore. Swallowing, she peaked around the corner to see that Thorne was resting against the door frame.
Coming from around the corner, she continued towards the other. Standing in front of him, she cleared his throat to get his attention. "Thorne?" she said softly. "I don't know to say this, but this predicament doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon. I do believe that it would be in our best interest to get along with one another. At least until something more permanent can be established as the Headmaster has suggested." She knew that she was grasping at straws, but she wanted to make peace with the other. After all, it wasn't his fault that they had this unforgivable turn of events.

Thorne closed his eyes slowly and tried to think calming thoughts, anything to control himself from causing more of a scene then he just had. It had been a little blessing that there hadn’t been any students around or just that he seen, though it wouldn’t have changed his actions. ‘Calm down, Thorne…’ He thought to himself. He shook his head against his forearm and gritted his teeth. ‘How can I relax when I have to share a room with a Female? Do they not understand the problems with this situation?’ He sighed heavily as he began to separate his head from his forearm, but froze when he heard her voice. “Yes?” He said through clenched teeth.
His body stiffened up in pure anger as she told him the things that were most obvious to him at the moment. Of course this matter wasn’t going to change soon, they had just been told that not even a half an hour ago. It wasn’t as if he was going to so easily forget that. He raised his head from his arm and glanced down at the white-haired girl standing beside him. His blue eyes glowed with anger and frustration as he peered down at her. He had no real interest in getting along with her whether it is because of this situation or not. He simply hadn’t had the intention to get along with anyone while he was here. Being there was more of a job rather than him wanting to be at this establishment that called itself a school.
“I know very well that this situation that we find ourselves in is not going to change overnight or even in a few days.” He said hotly as he straightened himself up from his current position of hunching into the door into a standing one. He stood with his arms crossed across his chest as spoke, “Though I agree that in would be in our best interest to get along for the moment, but I have no intentions of becoming your friend or anyone else’s at this school.” He’d wanted to just make a short appearance and leave before he’d have to do anything. He did give her a bit of credit for acting more mature than he had thought she would in this situation. It improved her image in his eyes a bit, but not enough to change much. “Shall we go inside the room and work out a few … Rules or guidelines so that our time together can be a bit more … Enjoyable.” He’d intended to smile at her, but his lips would not cooperate with him. This situation could very well ruin both their reputation within their families if it wasn’t handled correctly. But for the most part it was for him to feel more at ease and be in control of this in any way he could. He reached out and turned the door knob opening the door to their room. He motioned her to enter with a sweep of his hand. His actions were welcome and inviting, but his presence and look at the moment were anything but that.

Hearing the other's words, Selene tried her best to smile as well. Her mouth just wouldn't work though. She figured she could politely nod her head though. She could see that the other was trying equally as hard as her to try and be courteous as well. He had to give Thorne credit though, he was doing much better keeping his facade from slipping than she would have originally had guessed. Letting out a small, hopefully inaudible sigh, she walked towards the room, through the door, and over to the side of the room that she had laid claim for herself.
Resting on the bed that was there, she looked at Thorne as she mulled over his words. She knew that if their current 'living arrangements' were going to be at least satisfactory in the coming days they would have to do something called compromise. Used to getting everything that she wanted, she knew that this would be a most daunting task.
What should they talk about first. There were so many things. Selene had always been an early riser, so she hoped that the other was alright with that. She could change the way that she acted around the other person, but there was no way that she would be able to change her sleeping schedule, at least not in such a short amount of time. Clearing her throat, she looked to Thorne as she said,"So what do you think we should discuss first?" She figured that she would leave the floor open so they could talk about the things that they would have to compromise about, and as other things began to pop up they would discuss those as they became relevant.

His grip tightened around the cold metal of the knob as he smiled politely at her as she passed him to enter the room. He followed her pulling the door shut behind him until he heard it click, announcing that it was as far as it was meant to go. Of course he could merely rip it from its hinges, which at this point didn’t seem like that bad of an idea, but he suppressed the ludicrous idea quickly.
He watched her idly walk to one side of the room, which he assumed she would think she had rights to. He would have done the same if it had been him in her position, but it was not and he didn’t see why he should allow her to merely decide on her own what belonged to whom. His fingers released the knob from their grasp as he took a step away from the door.
He looked at her coldly, but gave her a very un-reassuring smile, if it could even be classified as a smile. His eyes ventured down the bed that she had decided to rest on for the moment. Surely she would understand he would start with the biggest problem. There was only one bed in their room, which seemed absurd no matter the gender that was to be paired in the room. “Let’s start with the biggest problem.” He stated, “I can assume that you wouldn’t want to share a bed with me, because I would not like to share one with you. It is simply out of the question considering our blood and rank in society. “He assumed she would agree with that since she was in fact of the female gender and a noble. It would be outrageous that she agrees with such a thing.
“I propose we take ‘turns’ . “ The word was very foreign to him and the idea behind the act disgusting, but he wasn’t going to simply give up a peaceful sleep for her or anyone. “For a period of time I shall sleep on the sofa.” He pointed to the small area with a tiny sofa and chairs that was a make shift sitting area for the students of the room. “Then we shall switch you shall sleep there while I sleep on the bed. Are we at an understanding for this matter?” He asked flatly as he stared back at her.

((Sometimes I don't deserve the air that I breathe. Sorry this is getting to you so late)).
As Selene continued to sit on the bed she began swinging her legs back and forth. A habit, albeit a bad one, that she had picked up when she was either bored or agitated, this one being the later. As she continued to stare at him waiting for him to respond she suddenly shivered when she noticed his gaze. It wasn't nice, it wasn't inviting. It was downright cold and dare she say it a bit cynical. She swallowed, as she stopped kicking her feet. The other had a point, there was only the one bed.
At hearing the others words, he knew he spoke the truth. If word got out that two nobles, especially of their lineage, were sleeping in the same room let alone the same bed scandal would be running abound. She had initially wanted to claim it for herself, but she also knew that some if they were going to live with another, at least for the time being, that the two of them would have to cooperate with each other. "I think you are most certainly correct," said Selene as she tried to feign her best smile. She knew that she wanted the bed, and that in the end she would end up getting this room all to herself, it was only a matter of time. "Since you were so gracious enough to volunteer to take the couch for a few days I shall take the bed in the mean time." Had she been by herself, she would have flopped right down on it, but she was with a gentleman after all.
As she continued to ponder of the other things that were on her mind, she found herself musing to herself. "When do you usually rise in the morning? I specifically scheduled all my classes for late morning to early afternoon. I do need my rest." She let the un-uttered threat hang heavy in the air. She would not be awoken until she had to be.

[Oh? :/ Why would you say that? No need to worry about it, I've been busy recently so I probably wouldn't have been able to reply quickly either.]
It was a relief to him that she didn’t try to throw a tantrum or anything other than agree with him. He was not in the mood to argue with another noble and one of the female gender. They always seemed to know exactly what to do or say to annoy him. While it was a relief to him it didn’t show visually on his face or body language. He kept his colder demeanor as he nodded with a small grin. “I am always gracious, Miss. It would be rather rude of me to make a lady, who is adjusting to a new environment, uncomfortable on her first few days in a new room.” While his facial expressions seemed to contradict his gracious actions sometimes it did not mean he wasn’t. He hadn’t been necessarily un-gracious with her even to this point.
He arched is eyebrow slightly at her question and the slight hint of hostility in her voice. “Oh, I can assure you I will not be a problem to your sleep schedule.” He chuckled though it was slightly bitter, “My classes have been schedule for me and the majorities are in the morning till the afternoon. Then I have been told I will be participating in club and sport activities until late in the evening.” He really didn’t have a choice of the timing and the amount. They had how ever allowed him to choose what classes he would suffer though; it was rather thoughtful of them.
He wondered over to one of the small chairs to the left of him and leaned up against. “Shall we continue on to the next matter then, since the bed and sleep schedules have been taken care of for now?” He smiled coldly again at her not waiting for a reply to move on to the next subject. “The washroom seems like the next major and suitable subject to turn our attention to.” He crossed his arms over his chest tapping his finger lightly against his arm. “The mornings shouldn’t cause any problems seeing as we will be rising at different times. Though I propose that when both of us are in need of the washroom, you shall use it first, though you and I may only be permitted an hour each, to keep it fair.”

Selene smiled to herself, she always had a way with talking to men, and this time was no different. She knew that the other would be singing a different tone once he stayed with her for at least a week. While on the outside she was quiet and demure, on the inside she was anything but. Selene was used to having her way in most of everything "Accept my choice of school," she thought bitterly to herself. Well, almost everything was going according to plan her way.
She found herself nodding her head in agreement. There were more pressing matters that needed to be attended to now that their sleeping arrangement was done. Thorne had made a valid point. While their room had its own bathroom, it only had the one, and to share one with someone, at least Selene's mind, was out of the question. Let alone with a man. She bit her tongue though, she needed to win him over like all of the other's, and she knew that it was only a matter of time. "Very well," she said through slightly gritted teeth as she tried her best to smile. At least he was letting her go first, so she wouldn't have to tread after a man. Wait? Did he say one hour? How was she supposed to work with one hour to make herself gorgeous? This was preposterous! Unfair! Her eyes narrowed a little bit, as she tried to think of what she would say next.
Mulling over her words she managed out,"Very well. I suppose I don't need to do a lot of primping." She let out a small huff as she slouched a little on the bed which was very unladylike at even the most informal times. Her mind began to drift a little as she tried to think of other things to add to their agreement. "What about friends in the room? Are we to have a curfew for when they are to leave." She paused. "Also," she added as an afterthought. "I don't want it getting out that we are spending time together..." Did she mean ever, or just until this whole thing was sorted out? "I mean until you get your own room and everything. Can you imagine the scandal and the rumors?!" she said as she crossed her hands over her chest, another very unladylike thing to do.

Thorne watched the little lady sit on the bed and smile at an unknown thought and he had the urge to wipe it from her face. What a little vixen, he thought to himself. Of course it would be his luck to be stuck with such a Noble. It always seemed to be his luck with things lately. He would rather die than to admit defeat to this little vixen before him. He would not let her tarnish his honor like he knew she wanted to.
He saw the small look of malice cross through her eyes and smiled sweetly back at her. ‘That does not seem to suit your princess lifestyle does it?’ he thought as he continued to smile back at her. His pale blue eyes mocking her as he watched her maintain her composure, “Wonderful!” he chirped happily at her. “It is nice to see that we are working things out so well, do you not agree?” He said with a smile as he ruffled his hair lightly. All the while his eyes continued to mock her as she thought of her next move to take. It was like a game of chess they were playing.
“It is very nice of you to compromise your beauty for me.” He inclined his head lightly in a small bow and when his head came back up to even level his smile from before was wiped clean from his lips. He gave her a questioning look as she slouched upon the bed. He suppressed a sound of disgust at her actions and maintained his composure. “Do you need friends, Lady Alward?” He said giving her a questioning look, but continued on without her response. “I suppose if you find a need to have friends then you may have them over, but it is your responsibility to make sure our arrangements are not discovered.” He smiled at her comment of not wanting any rumors to spread. “Then be sure that your lips are sealed tight and you remain aware of our situation at all times. I am sure we will be fine if you manage to do that.” His eyes giving her a silent warning that he meant his words, there was no mocking to that statement. “I believe it is within our realm as Nobles to be able to contain and control rumors.” After all Noble women loved to spread rumors, so why should they not be good at containing them or managing them.
[Sorry I've been gone for so long. College, work, and friends have been proven very difficult to maintain. Which leaves me with very little freetime or none at all for things like Mene that love to do in my freetime. I'm not sure when I'll be able to reply again, but I can assure you that I am not dropping my rps. I'm just not sure when I'll be able to reply how quickly it'll be or how often it'll be.]

((I know it's no excuse, but I've been busy with a lot of things at work, and with going back to school now in the Summer filling out scholarships has been my number one priority. Menewsha has been the farthest thing from my mind right now. So you can feel free to respond to this, if not you can abandon this RP no hard feelings or anything. It has been 3 months, if you can believe it, after all. If you decide to abandon it maybe we could do another RP in the future, if not it was fun RPing with you. May luck be forever in your favor.))
She heard the sound of disgust at her slouching and slowly rose back to sitting ramrod straight as she blinked at the other. The other was speaking up about some valid points. It would become increasingly harder for the two of them to share a room as the school year began to get started. They were sworn to secrecy for the time being, but that didn't mean that they didn't deserve to have friends. Selene listened to the Noble in front of her. It finally clicked what he was saying! Why did she feel like she was being chastised. She hadn't done anything to deserve this! Was he like this just because she was a woman?! Who was he to say those things to her. Sure, the women that she all knew gossiped everyday as if they were sitting in a circle at the local quilting Bee, but she would never stoop to such levels, nor would she ever.
Letting out a small sigh, she fixed Thorne with a small glare. "You say these things as if to already convict me of something. You tell me to watch what I do around people who I would consider my friends. I beg to differ that you should listen to your own advice as well, good lord." She smiled sweetly at the other before continuing so as to not let the other get a word in. "I do believe that we should be heading to the Headmaster's Chambers so we can sort out this little ordeal before the other students begin to move in as well. We should get this minor incident fixed."
Standing up, she walked towards the door, throwing it open as she walked down the hallway towards the Headmaster's Chambers.
