Hi guys! So I just have a few things that I want to point out while we wait for final entries to be turned in.
Every cycle we have someone who drops out or doesn't turn in entries during the first challenge. I don't know if this is because they merely forget that the contest is going on, don't pay attention to the due dates, or otherwise just don't have time to commit to doing it like they had originally though. It's really upsetting when these things happen because it makes it difficult for Cora and myself to shuffle around challenges that we've worked hard on developing to make the challenges interesting for you guys. Perhaps this is a problem with us and the way that we run the contest. Perhaps it needs to be reformatted so that it will be more appealing. Maybe it needs to be simpler. I don't know what it is, but it really does force us to have to come up with a difficult decision on what to do. And this is not the first time, or even the second or third time that this has happened.
As it stands, I applaud all of you who turned in your entries on time. If you have not turned in your entry, I have messaged you to notify you of the tardiness and will continue to leave this week's challenge up so that we may have a complete set of entries turned in. This will be the last time that I make this kind of extension, and it is only because of the event and because of extraneous circumstances. As soon as we have all the entries turned in, judges will have three days from the time that the entries are updated to submit scores and we will continue on with the second challenge.
At this point, I have a question for you. I know many of you are return users who have participated in the contest at some point or other and in some position or other so I want your feedback. If there is anything that you think you would change about the contest to make it more accessible and easier to partake in,
please send a message to the Project Mene with any suggestions so that Cora and myself can discuss your concerns and find a way to modify the contest accordingly. All suggestions are helpful, and we truly appreciate that you guys continue to play a part in this contest that we've both been a part of for so many years now.
