I think I'm pretty strange in that I don't really watch TV. I have netflix so I'll watch things like River Monster over and over, but never really anything new. Oh and I rarely watch movies. Too short of an attention span. XD

i don't even have cable. xD i only have netflix. though admitedly it mostly plays kids shows now a days. And... assorted murder mystery shows. like psych, and mythbusters, and bones. hahaha

lol Well after testing in the top 7% and denying a MENSA membership (because I don't need a bloody card or a passe of like minded science peeps to tell me I'm smart) I'm not surprised people don't get advanced concepts I come up with. XD

It's a great cycle. However, if your not prepared to judge advanced concepts properly, don't suggest people do them by letting them interpret a word. Here's something perhaps you would have understood more for mine:

When emotionally broken you're chained to your own thoughts of negativity and worthlessness. Even when love and happiness are floating right in-front of you. I feel bad I having to explain that because it's what that song was all about /face palms for humanity.

Even though my score was so low I'm kind of glad I went with the avatar I did I'm not sure how well the one I was originally going to enter would have done.

You can't expect people to know what you're going for, Nephila. OTL Maybe if you had explained that, you might've gotten a better score. But maybe not, who knows. I'm sorry some people can't understand such "advanced concepts."

It looks more like a reading comprehension problem. Connecting things together. It was pretty much across the board "read saying + look at avatar = word" When that's not what mine did. There was a few more steps in the line of thinking that should have taken place.

I don't know. When I see your avatar, at face value, it's a broken statue. It doesn't necessarily look like a person because it's naked and has no eyes. I don't know if you're going for a person, a statue, or just an emotion, or even a person who was turned into a statue. There are many ways of interpreting an image. And most people interpret images at face value. I believe if you had stated your interpretation, people would have understood it better.

But it's what the song was about...

I feel like I would have been babying them to explain the song.

You don't have to explain the song. You may have just had to write at least a sentence or two of how your avatar is an interpretation of the song. XD Really you just need to tell us what your avatar is saying. You can't expect everyone to look up the lyrics to the song and interpret it themselves. You know how lazy some people can be, don't you? XD

I guess I just think better of Mene people. XD I don't see anyone that runs something like this as lazy. So that never came into my head. I think I had this problem with one of the last rounds too where they were like huh? And I was like ZOMG IT'S SO OBVIOUS. THA FOOK! XD

But it's no biggie.

Eh, I understand how that can be. I made an entry for this contest and no one understood what I was going for. OTL I think it happens to a lot of contestants of avatar contests.

Here's where I'm at with my entry for this round. I actually had to play in mspaint to get layers to behave. Thoughts? I was going for the hair, ribbon, robe to create the general shape.

I'll admit that I was confused by the entry and didn't think to look into the lyrics that you submitted for clarification. Regardless of that fact, I actually gave you a fairly high score for visual appeal even though I didn't understand the concept. Additionally, I don't think I've ever heard that particular Madonna song so it didn't resonate with me. Sorry that there was any confusion, but I think we should just move past it. The remaining challenges are all much less vague so I don't think there should be any more confusion between contestants and judges.

Long, I do like it!

I would its just seems to be an ongoing thing for me with this contest that if something has to be interpreted I need like a translator. XD

Yeah for singing harp I don't think it'll be much better than that.

Are you going to be incorporating your white with all the themes? I think it's really ambitious and if you can pull it off might give you an edge. Just because it'll be interesting to see what you come up with for it.

I have to! XD If you saw my inventory you'd wonder how'd be able to use any color other than with the DAC. I have nearly 3 pages of white items.

I love it!! I was going to do the harp and I had used that exact hair to give the shape XDD I gave up though, you did a much better harp!
