The "nose" is one of the eyes. Then there is the bone warrior mask, the ebony revenant visor, and then the tusk teeth from the magical mysteries ei. *contented sigh* I really do adore how those layer together to make that face. I really liked that avi.

I feel like the avi isn't quite strong enough to represent Leo. Also, I think a larger, more defined crown would suit it better. Maybe a little bit of armor and a determined face. I like where you're headed, but to me it doesn't really say Leo yet. The hair is a bit off in color, and maybe if you aren't going to use the lion mane item, you can use a hair that looks more like a lion's mane. And the red wisps coming from the feet don't really suit it, in my opinion. :)

The hair is as it is as it directly mimics the astrological symbol for leo. And yeah I still need to fiddle with the tones on the hair >.<
I've decided to go fro a less obvious route than being a lion. Because i feel thats obvious and there's so much more you could represent. The magical candle colour/astrological colour of Leo is yellow, hence the predominant colour. It is also ruled by the sun, hence why the sun is there. I added gold because of it's connection to the sun, and also to give that regal edge. I also made sure to have a firey colour scheme as Leo is a fire symbol. :)
I agree about the lower red whisps, but will that make it too top heavy.

It's just a bit too girly looking to me to get a Leo vibe from it. I wouldn't be able to guess it by looking at it. And I still stand by the hair color looking off.

the addition of the fluffy ruffle is brilliant and i love the golden headdress. I feel it really gives a starry look. the overall avatar is very well layered as well. It does come across as a starry avatar and a zodiac and based on the items i would guess leo but it doesnt scream leo to me. I am not sure there is anything you can do to make it scream leo though that wouldnt take away from the avatar. adding the leo the lion stuff i feel would take away from the overall avatar as it doesnt match and would over crowd. lets see...

what if you made subtle change... like adding the round ears from the leo ci and a tail... but not the tail from that ci... something more subtle like the blond tail from the centaur. it would add just a touch and not be overwhelming like adding the mane would be. ... or maybe just the tail would be enough... i dont know... i would play with it a little. see if you can get it slightly more lion like. the just the tail option i think would look better without the headdress. and it would bring in the colour from the ruffle down to the rest of the avatar without being too much. the tail i feel is a good idea... the ears though... they just are the wrong colour...

Perhaps equip-able eyes? While those eyes are better than what you had, then don't feel stern enough.
And I think it looks good with the tail and without the headdress.

I find equip eyes ugly, plus I dont want her too mean, as leos though serious and attention seekers are actually really quite playful.

Perhaps it's the skin. A more tan color skin would look better, I think. Yeah, I think that'd help.

actually i like the eyes. but i can see your point. and a darker skin but be brilliant. but as for the tail... i cant actually see it. perhaps it was too subtle

no i cant... maybe its because of the mene tag across the middle. i might be able to if you were wearing the avatar...

The tail is going upwards from the but and touches behind the hair

And I think the eyes would be more appealing to me on a darker skin. Because if I look at them, they aren't bad, but they stand out weirdly on such pale skin.

but that tail does work really well and helps make the whole avatar look more leo.
