I'm also doing kind of a literal translation... I found a gorgeous old star chart image, but it's kinda ridiculously huge, and there's no way I could possibly represent the whole thing, so I took a chunk of it.

And here's what I've got so far... it's obviously still super-rough.
I would greatly appreciate advice and suggestions... I think I want to borrow Leon the Lion from someone-- I know that's Sirius, but mene doesn't have a dog and darnit that is the most leonine dog I have ever seen. The background has me completely stumped right now, so I'm going to build the avatar and then figure out a background for it.

There is a belt on... star catcher? It's the CI with frame and purple background. I can't remember it's name. You might try that for the belt but it could end up kinda clunky.
Hmm... I'm not sure what I'm really doing just yet but if anyone has a Dark Alchemist item that wouldn't mind letting me ghost that would be awesomesauce : )
You might try a darker skin tone so the winter sparkles show up a bit more. : )
I would suggest manly stubble/beard too... but I'm not sure if that would fly. xD
yeah... I'm still on the fence about the sparkles. I put them on to see if they looked like the stars in the star chart. And I haven't decided yet. Manly stubble might be a good idea, though. *adds to list of things she needs to ghost for this*

it wouldn't be in the right orientation, but when i saw your reference picture i thought of the green haze stuff from basement dweller(?) that might help a little bit with the background?
perhaps that black frame from some item that i can't think of to be like the black lines on the chart.

@Mythos and Wyrm, I have Leon, Star Catcher, and Dark Alchemist, which you can borrow/ghost.
Do you have Leon the Lion? Cora loaned me I am Leon, Hear me Roar, and I played with it a bit but it didn't seem to combine well.

The green haze might work... and I hadn't thought about the black lines... good ideas!

Thank you, Chex! I wanted something that felt less random than my entry, so I went back to my usual 2-3 color avatar types.
It looks like in the past the DAC has been allowed, but I'd think a judge would have to okay that first. If there's anything I can loan you, though, let me know!
