To let you guys know. These next few weeks are going to be hectic for me as I'm packing and moving to Texas. I will try to get on and peek around from time to time. I also have my phone. So I will try my best to get scores in, but my comments may be a bit lacking.

Hm... so the first thing that pops into my mind when I hear the word 'omens' is 'magpies', because of the nursery rhyme 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_for_Sorrow_%28nursery_rhyme%29.' So I'm currently following my first impulse and trying to depict a flock of magpies... I might change my mind entirely, but that's how I'm starting.




Advice/Opinions/Suggestions?

So I signed on to Gaia for the first time in like two years yesterday. The economy is ridiculous, but I've found I'm still rather good at vending. Not as good as some and I obviously don't know all the prices of things so I have to check them before I buy, but I still managed to make about 90M yesterday starting with 2M. Not fairing so well today, but maybe the vend is slow on Sundays?

Looks good, wyrm. I wonder if it might look better with some kind of white top that shows the chest instead of the sash though. I love the black wings with those shoulder wings. X3

I'm thinking I might go with a comet/shooting star, but I feel it's too similar to my avatar for the previous challenge.

i have a feeling this challenge is going to be super hard.

I wonder... if maybe instead of trying for a literal interpretation of a magpie, I should try for something more like... a person who looks like a magpie... maybe with some of the Nautica dresses and such... *Tries to figure out how very very much gold she would need for that*

@Eastrial- I find most people find there first run through extremely daunting (myself included), but I also find that most people think it helps them grow in their avatar skills.

And by grow I don't mean becoming what everyone else thinks there avatars should be, but rather finding there own style and perfecting it.

At least, that is what I've noticed in the past. Maria is a perfect example of this. Her avatars are so uniquely her, I'd be able to spot a maria avatar in a line-up, but they are so much more advanced then they used to be.

Well, I've got a start on my avi for this round. I've got the foundation down, but it still feels too simple. I feel like the background needs a little something more.

So....I want to be a blood moon. Since that's totally relevant to what is going on tomorrow :P



Any suggestions for my current avatar?

i think you have it pretty well spot on, but maybe add the red leg ribbons to add the ripple effect the the legs and balance out the red?

Hmmm....I feel like it's too disconnected - I wonder if there is something that could go down the entire leg like that

not exact items because my brain isn't functioning at 100 pct.
but perhaps there is a black skirt, kind of like the harem skirts? that falls in the back but not the front, that you could than cover in the front with something white, like... the apron.

That's a good idea, Shadami! I'll try it if what I'm playing with doesn't pan out... I figured I'd try something other than 'As you see, I have made a bird' Besides, it gave me an excuse to buy the phoebe grand skirt.
