So I just read the critiques.
Long's made me giggle, because I TOTALLY started with gloves first. But they all took away from the avatar by drawing your eyes STRAIGHT to them.

And Seiki, the owls at the sanctuary have slightly different schedules than wild owls because we have to feed them and care for them during the day. Obviously, we would never have more than one bird on us at a time like that, though, because that's a good way for one bird to end up dead. But you know, fictional scene and all that. I can pretend that they'll get along.

Everyone had such awesome avatars last round. I'm sorry to see Libra go. :(

Yeah, I kind of submitted a crappy entry, I would just rather submit one so that I could participate next cycle than be kicked for not having one submitted at all. Then I'd have to wait 1 or 2 cycles before participating again >_<

The inspiration from mine was actually what I would wear when I volunteered at the hospital. Everything was exactly how I was dressed, except the hair do-dads, those were just for color balance cause I wanted something more on the head xD

Sports... Heh, well good luck guys! This looks like it'll be a fun round ^_^

I love this idea! Haha. This is hilarious. I would definitely go with the trashed cups. The biggest concern I have is the corset. No matter how I look at it, I see a corset and that's just too proper for a baseball fan. I'd suggest going with looser fitting white top, maybe start at the healing/bunny singlets and go from there. But I do get the vibe of a baseball shirt from your top layering. As for the background, all I can suggest is something outdoorsy.

Hi all umm I don't mean to be a complaint complainer but I don't really think this round is fair at all....
I'm English and we don't have baseball like at all so I feel like I'm unfairly disadvantaged. I mean I can look stuff up on the net but my avi will still probably completely lack the vibe or be hugely flawed. I feel bad complaining but I just don't really know what I could do.....

If you want to do a cricketer, that's fine with me. Just be sure to submit an example with your entry, because just as you don't know much about baseball, we probably don't know much about cricket.

My advice for you with this round, if you proceed with the baseball theme, is to just look up examples of baseball players or fans and go off of that. You don't have to know a lot about baseball to come up with something that looks like it would fit in. If you have time, maybe look up some baseball movies for inspiration?

If it makes you feel any better, Easty, I am not a sports person at all. This particular round is awful for me as well. I have never BEEN to a baseball game, I don't watch it on TV, I've never played it, and I don't even like anything about it. Though I do know all of the words to "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". Which is kind of where I'm getting my inspiration.

I don't mean to single anyone out. It's just one of those thugs that I think of as being classically summery activities. Like Steel, I've never been to a baseball game and don't particularly care about sports, but I think that baseball is popular enough that someone has at least seen a movie about it or could recognize what a baseball fan/player looks like. Not everyone is going to 100% connect with every challenge.
