welll there is Carnival - with super crazy costumes in rio i think, and there is summer festivals called carnivals. doesn't usually have parades.

I kind of knew that one would be the one I was out on. Especially when I saw fireprincess's final piece and ours were SUPER similar, but hers was better done. I was just too tired to put in my best effort. It was a lot of fun guys! Every one of y'all deserves the win. *huggles*

Fireprincess. Your avatar was such pure perfection for me. yes I got baseball out of everyones. But yours.. that would have been a 10/10 from me I think. The drinks, the food, the absolute feeling of my childhood. I felt like I was back here.

in my childhood, under those awnings, looking out one of the entrances into the seats towards the field while I was waiting for a hotdog. Cause I was torn between getting delicious baseball park hot dogs, or watching the game.

Aww! Thank you so much Sha!!! That really really means a lot to me!!! I used my childhood experiences as well for the theme! I remember there was usually tons of food and stuff all over the ground in the bleachers/seats, so I just had to incorporate it. Lol how can you stay away from ball park hot dogs!? They're delicious! One time my brothers and I got to sit in the executive suits, and we got to eat as much food as we wanted for free!! It was great

If it makes you guys feel better, I wrote two extra challenges when I was coming up with this cycle as if we were going to still be doing a 10-person cycle so I'm going to have a couple of mini-contests coming up after the final round. It'll be a free for all, so that's something to look forward to? : )

OK soooo question for seiki.

By "Carnival" as mentioned in the thread, there are many different types of carnivals, do we have to go with the "summer Carnival" feel that you described or can we deviate from that and take a different approach to "Carnival"?

Yeah, I was a little confused too. When I think of "carnival" I think of horses, elephants, lions, lion tamers, acrobats, bearded ladies, strong men, games, etc.. Is that what a summer carnival means?

I'm okay with either, though I had meant more of a summer carnival/fair type event.

Could you post a link or something to some examples of a summer carnival?

I have to say, this is pretty awesome. I never thought of doing one of these (we called them Rocket Slides). But I really love your choice of items! The use of the scarf is so smart! And the hat. You've made a lot of genius item decisions. It creates an interesting shape, too! Though, you're right on the background! I'd suggest lights! :)
