--I'm sorry, though due to your inability to write more than a few words, include detail, or move the plot along and make me do it all, I can no longer write with you. I'd find it best to search for a writer with lower expectations--

I'm not heartless. I can't turn away that plea. Alright. Just do me a huge, huge favor. Avoid "just knowing" and help carry the plotline. Your character is acting sorta like a brainless deity. I feel like your character automatically knows everything my character knows without being descriptive or realistic. It isn't quanity so much as quality, but more is needed.

Like when your character get on mine for flight, you go explain how you got on her and what it felt like to take off. Was is smooth? Was it choppy? Was it cold? Did it make you afraid? Did your stomach drop at seeing the ground go away so fast? You are so focused on going forward or letting me come up with plot points that you either do something with no description or act with your character just standing there. If you were that character, what would you realistically do?

Go ahead and post. I'm horrible at conflict. I just couldn't handle it anymore.

Larissa and Kirin had been flying for hours. Kirin was getting sore, even though he did enjoy flying. He ached all over, though it was his legs and thighs that hurt the most. "Larissa, is it possible to take a break?" He asks his voice loud to be heard over the wind. "My legs and thighs are a bit sore." He feels as if he could use a good stretch, and as much as he hates to admit it, he is getting a bit cold.

(Is this better? Does it need anything? If you feel it does I will edit this.)

(Much better.)

Larissa could hear the pain in Kirin's voice. Guilt filled her as she realized her failure to pay better attention to her companion. With regret, she answered, "In a few minutes. I promise." She started looking around for a good place to land. A spring or creek would be nice for the both of them. They had managed to cover the valley and reach the southern range. However she had been distracted with flying upwards to attempt to get over it. Now she looked at the terrain itself. Sparse forest with more meadows. It had it's own beauty compared to the heavy forests and bare rocks of the northern range.

Finally spotting what appeared to be a creek, she angled her body into a spiral descent. As they got closer to the ground, she spread out her wings to their fullest extent in order to slow down as much as possible. As strong as her own legs were, she didn't want to jar too much her already tired companion. The pain in his voice suggested that the flight had not fared well. Possible bruising, soreness, and even headaches from being so high might be ailing him. She didn't wish to aggravate the problem further.

As she reached the ground, she let her body spring a little to take as much of the impact as possible. Still, for the sensitive and weaker humans, she couldn't imagine how gentle, or lack thereof, it might be felt to Kirin. Especially since when she was human, the last thing she had done was fly. Glancing over at the creek a few yards away, she was relieved to see it was a crystal clear spring. Lowering herself down slowly, she soon was laying on her belly so Kirin could more easily clamber down to her leg, and then eventually the ground. "You okay up there?"

Kirin wishes they could land right away, but knows that the gryphon has to have room. He is greatly relieved when Larissa starts her decent. His legs are sore, and possibly bruised, though he hopes that is the extent of the damage. He is also feeling a bit light headed, as the air was thinner up there. He would have to see if he could use his magic to help with that, and maybe even his legs. Now that he knew what flying with her involved he knew better how to use his magic to help him. He bites back a cry as she lands. When she is on her belly he slides/rolls off her and just lays on the ground.

Larissa turned her head around to look at him in alarm. Slightly rising so that she was in a crouch, she turned so that she was facing her prone friend. The orb inside came to life. It's power seemed energized by his pain. She reached out her head until the tip of her beak rested on him right above his heart. The orb sent a blue glow through her into him, knocking him out. She sat back. "I can't care for him. I have wings and claws. He needs a human to help him. What can you do?" The orb responded, "Not much. I can transform you back into a human, but I will have to leave you while you are in that state. In this way, you can at least physically care for him. It isn't recommended though. You will just have to trust in my power. Let him rest. When you are ready to go again, let me wake him back up." She thought that over and nodded. Sliding into the stream, she cleaned up and preened. Then lit a fire. Leaving the wood to burn down to coals, she went hunting.

Flying out above the sparse forest, she realized this place had more smaller game. Tackling one of the few deer in the area, she broke it's neck and settled down to tear off it's meat. Gulping them down in large bites, she quickly finished her meal. Preening carefully and licking up all trace of blood and meat, she rose and leaped back into the air. Circling, she soon located a rabbit that had not been careful enough. Swooping in, she grabbed it and turned back towards camp. Flying swiftly in, she figured it would make a good lunch as well as hopefully replenish the energy that Kirin would need to keep going. Upon landing, she broke the little thing's neck. Dropping it onto the coals to roast, she turned to Kirin and sent the orb's healing powers into him to wake him back up.

Kirin is, briefly aware, of the energy coursing through him. But before he can do anything, he has passed out. During that time he has no dreams. For that he is grateful. It is the first restful sleep he has ever had. Soon he is being awoken. He groans stretching. He fells much better then he had a bit ago. How much time had passed? "Hey." He says smiling up at Larissa. His mouth starts watering when he smells the rabbit cooking. He is glad he won't have to use his supply of food he brought with him. He stands his joints popping a bit. He slips out of his clothes and goes to the stream going in. He enjoys the sensations of the water on his bare skin.

She smiled at his restful greeting and went to sit by the fire. Listening to him undress and step into the creek, she grimaced at how cold it must feel to him. Humans were so, well, human. How they had survived so long in this world was beyond her. She laid her head down on her forefeet and closed her eyes. There was a good chance that she would run into other gryphons by leaving this valley and surrounding mountains. There was an even greater chance that they would be seeing, if not fighting, other creatures that Kirin would have no knowledge of simply because the humans of this valley didn't have to deal with them. They had always been safe in their home here. Something the gryphons had always made sure of. He wouldn't know of nor be prepared for some of the things he was going to see. She hoped he would be able to adjust to that when the time came. Though it still wasn't too late to leave him behind.

Soon he is done cleaning himself, and he truly feels refreshed. He comes and sits by her. "How is the rabbit coming along?" He asks. He didn't know how long the rabbit had been on the coals. "I have ideas on how to make flying on you easier." He says as he strokes her feathers. He hopes what he has in mind will truly make it easier to travel with her.

She used a talon to pluck the hot meat off the fire. Setting in down on a stone at the edge of the fire and in reach of Kirin, she used another talon to scrap the meat off the first talon. "It is done now," she said. Licking off her talons, she added, "And quiet tasty too." Finishing licking off her claw, she turned an inquiring eye to Kirin, "What ideas do you have little one?" He must have either been doing a lot of thinking while they were flying or he had found his inspiration in the creek. She felt interest in what this human could have come up with.

Kirin is silent for a bit as he eats the rabbit. He lets out a groan at how good it tastes. Once he had satisfied his hunger he cleans his face and licks his fingers clean. "I had been thinking of using magic to protect my legs from long flights, and to help me breath in the thin air." He said, he wonders what she would think of this idea.

She let out a small chucke, "and here I thought you had ideas on how to make flying easier for me. Well that is good. Have you been thinking over how to create some spells to help you do that then?" Kirin was almost like an eager school boy in his happiness. She wished he could find such peace by living a normal life. A home, a job, and a family. However this would do for now. She would keep an eye on him to make sure of as much.

"Yeah. and I'll work on ways to make flying easier for you." He says smiling. He is happy that he is having this adventure with her. "You know, this is my first time out of the valley." He stretches his shoulders popping a bit. "I'm excited to experience new things, and also a little scared." It felt good to let this all out.

She looked at him curiously. When she had been human, she had been nervous and scared. That was a given since humans were such fragile creatures. However, his expression of being excited baffled her. Shaking her head, she slowly got up. "Come little one, as nice as it is here, we have a long way to go and the afternoon won't stick around forever." She stretched out her wings, warming up each muscles slowly before folding them back in and readying a leg for Kirin to use to climb back up with.

Kirin soon gets his protection magic on, hoping it will be enough. He smiles climbs back on Larissa's back. "Do you think we will meet other humans, and gryphons?" He asks as she takes off. He takes in the scenery as the fly. This is all so new and exciting for him. He finds his magical precautions are working and he is very happy about that.

Larissa barely felt his footsteps as he stepped onto her leg to pull himself onto her feathered back. Humans were such small, light creatures. She waited until she was certain he was settled, thinking over his question. "Probably will meet other humans. Despite being a weak race, humans have a tendency to spread like termites. There are few places that humans have not gone. As for gryphons, there is a chance. I don't know." With that, she spread her wings, crouched, and leaped into the air. Beating her gray wings swiftly, she rose higher and higher. Each time she brought her wings down, they gained more height. For a brief pause, while she brought her wings back up, they accent slowed. This created a jerking ride that most humans couldn't stand. A reason why seeing a human riding a gryphon rare. She supposed she should be grateful. Few humans sought to control gryphons like cattle since they rather not fly.

Gaining height, they soon reached an altitude where she felt comfortable leveling off. Switching to a gentle glide where she could more gradually work towards reaching the mountain ranges peaks, she began making her way close to the pass. It wouldn't take long to get over once there. She noticed that this high up, there was snow on the ground. The sun reflected off the white in brilliant light. She automatically allowed an inner eye lid to close over her eyes so that she wouldn't suffer snow blindness. The tops of these mountains also had large areas of ice. She wouldn't be able to safely land until they were on the other side. It was amazing that, despite the cold air, it was crystal clear up here. Humans and their settlements tended to make for smoky breathing.

Kirin notices the snow and the bright light, he quickly casts a spell to take the edge off that brightness. He pulls his cloak tighter around themselves as they get higher. If it came to it he would use magic to keep him warm. He breathes in the fresh, crisp, cool air. Since he had first met Larissa in the woods he had felt more alive then he ever had. He wonders what had brought them together. He can't believe it was just chance that he had come upon her in the woods that day, which seems ages ago. He wonders if they were destined to meet. Several hours pass and he gets a bit hungry. He pulls some of the preserved deer out of his back and nibbles on it as they continue flying.

Larissa felt relieve as they made it over the pass and allowed a slight descent. Just enough to be in slightly warmer air. This side of the south range was made of highlands. She could smell wood smoke in the air and make out the faint, distant traces of smoke with her keen vision. East, west, and further south were settlements. The question was which one to head for. She figured that having the setting sun behind them would be nice for both her own flying as well as Kirin's eyes. So she slowly circled east.

Kirin is glad to be out of the mountains. The height they were at had sorely tempted his magical skills. But he had managed to make the spell last. His legs are sore, but not as sore as they would have been much worse if he hadn't used his magic. He's still wracking his brain trying to figure out how to help the flights be easier on Larissa.

Slowly, she let herself glide down. Soon they broke through the layer of clouds and she could see scattered trees below them amid a vast plain of grass. In the distance was the settlement she had aimed for. Perhaps they could figure out how best to approach it come morning. For now, they should make camp. She spotted a nice area near a brook. Shifting her angle a little, she let herself glide all the way down to the grown. With a flurry of wings to break at the last minute, she stretched her legs out and sank into her landing to help absorb the impact. Lowering her wings, she crouched down so that Kirin could climb down.

Kirin gratefully climbs down. He stretches letting his magic, that he had put on to protect himself, dissipate. Kirin goes to the brook and drinks deeply. The water was nice and cool, and very refreshing. Once he has had his drink, and has splashed water on his face, he looks around. "This place is gorgeous." He says. He moves to her side stroking her feathers.

She nods in agreement, "Definitely a large open plain. Bet you aren't used to not being surrounded by mountains. You never left the valley of your home have you?" She bent down to give his cheek a light caress before stretching out her wings some more. Not flying for awhile was going to be a welcome relief. She was out of the habit and out of shape. Looking around some more, this time with a more critical eye, she suggested, "The few trees in this region will have small branches under them. Let's gather what we can for a fire."

"This is my first time away from the mountains," He says still taking it all in. He smiles as she caresses his cheek. "Do you think we'll see other humans today?" He asks as they head to the trees to collect branches for a fire. He's excited about meeting humans who don't know of his father, at least he hopes that humans away from the valley have heard of the evil deeds of his father.

She humphed, "I don't think we will today. It is getting late and anyone in their right mind should be thinking about supper. There is a settlement nearby. Might as well head that way in the morning though." Like she had any choice. The orb was starting to be insistent that she do it's bidding. It irritated her in more ways than one. She didn't like being told what to do and she really didn't like being told by something she didn't understand or know.
