Rainy pixeling history

I started dolling in 2005. All of my pixels were lost - FileLodge, the hosting site I used, disappeared, and my computer's harddrive was lost forever. It was nothing special and pretty horrible. :lol:

I pixeled (volunteer) for Jadarea in 2009(?)-2011. I think.
Things I did for them included..

Jadarea went down in late 2011, and I don't have many of the pixels that were on it. ;u; I lost my favorite hairstyle ever. </3

I have pixeled (volunteered) on and off for other sites, including Kinsaki and Chloria.

Have I mentioned how much I dislike chests lately?
It seems really.. flat.. without a highlight, but the highlight shades are way too freakin bright lol
That, and I'm having trouble making it seem 'right'. *squints at it*

I quite like the girl ones.....but the guy one sort of looks girly if truth be told....but some guys like that sort of thing ^.^

The highlights make it look more detailed. Just says it's made of a shiny fabric or something XD

Have you try dithering into the highlight? make it less impactful.

The female one is quite lovely, though.

I agree that the highlights really jump out at us. It kinda looks like colored saran wrap.
I would also say that on the female, the lower right corner of the shirt juts out just about a couple pixels too much. I circled where I'm talking about. It could be that I'm just tired, but that's how it seems to me. xD


Overall, despite the highlights, I admire your shading. You really know how to make fabric folds and utilize light sources. :D

Or you know what it also kinda reminds me of? That super shiny material that looks glossy leather. I don't know how to accurately describe it...

I was thiking along the line of raincoat. XD those are shinier.

Dithering with such a bright highlight color gives a very startling effect - not in a good way. The only palatable cure (for me, at least) is to make the highlight less bright, which is impossible seeing as Menewsha is a well-established site and many clothes are made with the palettes XD
Maybe I just picked the wrong palette, who knows~

Yup. It was the intention to give the same shirt to both genders, haha.

Aye, aye~ I did that on purpose. I figured the shirt would bunch around the waist.. does it look bad? It's just one pixel away from the base -the rest of the shirt is skin-tight, for the most part.

It looks fine to me now.

I don't think you need dithering so much as just slightly thinner highlights.
