Background: Temperance and her younger sister Evalia are the only children of King Hagan. As a result, a lot of pressure has been put on Temperance to marry someone respectable. Unfortunately, she's been inspired by the ballads sung of Robin Hood and can recite all of them by heart, and has always wanted to run off to the forest to live the way the Merry Men did.

Name: Aliana Fehn.
Bio: Aliana is the right-hand woman of the Elven Queen, she is a knight and is capable wielding a sword as good as a bow, she also knows quite a few handy spells. The Elvs do not mettle in human affairs, so she stands by her Queen night and day, waiting for any orders that need to be carried out.

Well I like to just develope her as I go along xD I tend to forget personalities when I put in profiles xD

I tend to like them ^^; At least basic ones. Personality isn't quite so important as just a basic background, though.

Weeeell...I think with elves there's no way to do it so that there's not some weird age difference xD;; I'd commend anyone who manages it, though. Anyways, on with the roleplay!

The one problem with being eighteen, Temperance decided, was that her father kept pushing her to marry.

Not that the suitors she got were especially bad, in any way. It was just that they were so...boring.

All they ever seemed to want to talk about were business, wars, politics, and hunting, trying to butter themselves up and seem more important. Temperance longed to tell them that she could probably shoot better than them and, in more than one case, that they were idiots, but it wasn't her place, and she had to keep silent. Her father couldn't understand the fact that she turned down every person who to her with a proposal, and he was close to giving up on the idea of letting her have a say in her marriage and just arrange something with the next prince to have a large enough kingdom. Temperance was desperate to avoid that, but just as desperate to avoid the men who kept coming up to her with proposals.

Finally, after a three hour talk with a prince who had less personality than a pin cushion, Temperance had had enough. Claiming she had a head-ache, she retired in her rooms, and when she could be certain she wouldn't be seen, grabbed her bow and a quiver and snuck out of the grounds into the surrounding forest. She went to her favourite clearing where she tended to do her target practice, pinned some bark to different trees to act as bulls eyes, and started shooting.

(Phew. Sorry that was so long...anyway, perhaps Aliana could notice her and watch?)

Aliana walked along the forest path, she was on patrol. She had two other knights with her both of whom were female. Her ears picked up the sound of moment and she ordered the other two to hide behind the trees in case this was an enemy. She hid in a bush as she waited. She was determined to protect her Queen from anything...

Temperance was doing her target practice. She was fairly good, for someone who was largely self-taught. At one point, a thrush burst from the trees on the opposite side of the clearing, throwing Temperance off and making her shot go wild; the arrow went into the trees near the elves, and Temperance, uttering unladylike swear words, went into the bushes to retrieve it; and when she saw the elves, she froze.

Aliana looked the girl down when she made her way over, it was a human, of course, they were always here. "You could use some more training," she told her simply. The knight placed a hand on her hip and looked her over "Who are you and why are you in our forest?" She was not the type to assuming things.

Temperance frowned a little. 'I can't get training,' she said. 'And I always practice here. I didn't know it was an elf forest.'

Aliana looked at her a moment and smiled, "Would like me to show you? I can train you if you wish, what is your name? I'm Aliana." She looked at her kindly, she was cute.

'Temperance,' the girl said. She looked around to make sure no one else was near, then said, 'You wouldn't mind training me?'

"Of course, what would you like help with?" she was taller than the other girl, Elves were much taller than the average male even.

'I...' Temperance looked at her bow. 'I guess I mostly just need someone to look over what I'm doing and correct my technique. I'm just guessing here.'

"I see, then show me what you know." she looked at her with a smile.

Temperance gave her a small smile. She went back to the clearing, got another arrow out, drew, and fired at a target. It hit close to the centre, but her technique was a little odd.

(I don't know much about archery, should I just wing it? xD )

(Let's just do something along the lines of "Aliana told her what to do/helped her correct her technique" or something along those lines xD)

Aliana decided to help her, first by having to hold the bow she was rather close to her.

Temperance glanced at the elf, smiled a little, and did exactly as she said. Her next shot was much better.
