Cool. Yeah I actually live down in Nebraska. Haven't actually made it to Stanwood since I helped my mom move up there with the horses.

Yes it is. Lincoln is a 25 hour drive from Stanwood.

Yes it is. Unfortunately I haven't been able to drive up and see my parents since they moved last November. They did make it down for my wedding in June which was nice.

It's nice they were able to make it :)

Yeah it was even nicer to see my grandma who I haven't seen since my sophomore year of high school.

She lives in Oregon and I have been living out in the Midwest since then. I was at a boarding school for my junior and senior year, and it just never worked to get back and see her before now.

Oh I see. Well if you ended up visiting your parents you could go through oregon and then up north to see your parents :)

Yeah that is the thought. Plus that would allow me to see my uncle, who I haven't seen for about as long if not longer. He wasn't able to make it to the wedding. He had just got a new job and couldn't get away.

Sounds like what happened this year, a lot of people were too busy for christmas due to jobs *worked on christmas day*

I had to work until 2PM on Christmas Eve but I was off for Christmas. We didn't have the money and weren't able to take the time off of work to go see my parents. My brother lives in Lincoln also so we celebrated Christmas together. Actually did ours on Thursday.

I worked 4-10pm christmas and christmas eve

That sucks. No one should have to work Christmas.

That is true. That is one of those jobs where it is understandable.

Well you should. I think legally they have to pay you that if you work the holidays.

I'm not positive either but it wouldn't be a bad thing to check out. Its always good to know your rights.
