Well we didn't keep them all at once... but we let our cat have kittens. Beautiful smart cat made some very cute kittens

I say ten because I lost count about 13 or so... probably around 18 total

Oh they've all been fixed now. My cat is one of her children, and I cherish her though, fat and all

True. I'd love a Bengal kitten someday... though I also want a Scottish Fold and my Partner wants a Turkish Angora... so I dunno what I'll end up with

Gives life a sense of adventure, and you didn't even have to go after pirate treasure for that adventure ^_^

I love my little kitten Kara I've had her since May and I don't remember life without her! Yeah, my kitty may not think she's a goddess but she does think that Mommy is here to cater to her whims (getting on the table, bathroom counter, give her cheese, veggie ham, etc) She's a loving kitten with tons of energy lol

I love animals but not so good at being around any of them..... I understand mechanics of machines better

I love most animals, preferably mammals or birds though. I had a horse I had trained and worked with, even after she went blind. Funny thing is, because animals have mouths that bite and in some cases feet that can hurt you, I'm nervous around them. But I'm always happier for being near them then going without.

I dislike horses to an extent... my grandma's horse enjoyed trying to scrape me off on trees... and I've ridden a fart-a-holic horse before... not pleasant...

Just feeding them though... :D so awesome to do.

I like any animal... including reptiles. If I see a snake that isn't venomous I'd pick it up for sure

I'm not fond of reptiles or anything that can be classified as creepy or crawly. Sorry about the horse that wanted to scrape you off. Someone didn't train him well and allowed bad habits to develop. When it comes to snakes, I don't care what type they are, I grab the nearest large rock or a hoe and try to ensure they don't live to see another sunrise.

Snakes, spiders, rats! Oh my!!! *runs and climbs highest place there is near*

Hey guys I need some advice. I have to stay home to take care of Mom full-time because she can't even go to the bathroom by herself because of limited mobility. My dad is being an butt (parden my french) about the money and we're barely eating. I think I might be able to get a job (it's at or near the end of seasonal hiring) if I bring a friend in to take care of her and help with the housework.

Should I take the gamble?

Oh they were perfectly trained... I just wasn't HER...

:( Aww... some snakes are really nice though... most snakes will run from you as is too. I'm only that way if it can kill someone

@ Super - That is strictly specific to if your mother is okay with it and your friend is capable enough

If your friend can help her, is willing, and your mother doesn't mind, then go for it. I'm dying to ask, is this friend someone we both know who loves horses? Or a friend that we both know that just had a baby? Or a friend from high school? Or ???

Lol so tempted to keep you in the dark

The one who loves horses :) I haven't seriously asked her yet. First I'll need to get a job and she needs to come back from traveling :P

True that, but perhaps you should see if she is willing to consider it before you get a job. She is engaged and wanting to spend time with her hubby...

Her fiance...not a hubby yet and she is desperate for a job. I would only be for a few months at the most and since I'd be working I could pay her some and she can keep looking for jobs near her for when Mom is up and about.

Poet, long story short, my mom had a surgery-go-horribly-wrong experience June '11, didn't move for about 4 months and even then was hardly moved around, stayed in the hosptial for 9 months, had rehab this summer for 1, and has only recently been able to transfer from her medical bed in the living room to her wheelchair with her walker. I have to change the dressing on her bottom (almost healed up) every day and half and take care of the house. I've been taking care of her since February. I think that sums it up lol

Gosh medical gone wrong... my exwife (gone crazy) had her mom killed in a surgery... so I'd say she got pretty lucky...

We are blessed. She wasn't supposed to live but God brought her through :)

I just texted my friend so we'll see. Thank you for your advice!

Yes, I did maiden. I think I transfered funds already. Why?

How did she end up in surgery if I may ask?

My ex-wife's mother had a tiny piece of cancer that resulted in a complete medical failure that killed her :(
I'm just glad she didn't wake up after the surgery to endure all that pain before passing... and last she knew she was happy.

Close to that. My mom had to get 2 small sections of her colon removed because they contained precancerous polyps. The surgery was supposed to be routine but the stuff that's in your colon came through in the middle of the night and poisoned her.

To be fair, it was either have the surgery or die of colon cancer in a few years.
