Wistful, if you're ever brought to a thread by a ping, it's a good idea to check the very first page of the thread, or even the title, to see where you are. Typically I've found that solves all unanswered questions. ;)

Whew. I still have nine nominees to go, plus making colorful names and adding in the donator section. I had no idea this thing would take off like it did. It's a lot of work! I'll finish it up today though, not to worry! We still have quite some time before the contest ends, too. Maybe we'll get some more noms! I'm excited to see who our winners will be!

I need to plan out the prizes, too. Once I add them to the front page I'll get some opinions on how to do it. Maybe give the winners a choice. Unless there's a tie... I don't know. I'll put more thought into it once I'm done adding our noms. If I start thinking about too much other stuff, I'm going to end up messing everything up. Lol

Thanks ya'll! I'm certainly trying! My one year old ended up with an ear infection yesterday. *sigh* So we had to go to the doctor and then the pharmacy and she was really cranky... but I only have seven more noms to add, plus the colorful little names. **General update**

Oh my, this seems interesting! And an excellent idea, I must say. I would add to the list of nominees, but I just recently entered activity again, so my opinions may not be the most trustworthy. I do wish all of the nominees 'Good Luck!' though!

In all honesty I really started this contest to create the player listing. I got so tired of ending up with role-play partners that I couldn't play with for various reasons and wished there was a listing where I could sift through players and examples of their writing. Now when I see a request thread I pop in here and see if they're in the listing and if their style is enough like mine to be worth starting up a play.

I figured making a contest out of it would be a nice reward for the players who work hard at what they do. So Mageling, hopefully you get nomed so we can add you to the listings. :) I hope to have quite a large list by the time I'm tired of hosting this thang.

Camilia found herself unusually annoyed at the gawkers. She watched from her perch up near the top of the tank, where she'd been put to keep an eye on the crowds. They didn't have to crowd so close, putting handprints and faceprints and sticky appendages on the clean glass... She shook the thoughts away. Of course, when she'd been told a month ago that she'd be in charge of a new exhibit in the aquarium, she'd been wary. They didn't just give out positions like that, but it had included a pay raise, so she'd taken it. When the new creature arrived, though, she suddenly understood why only one person would be interacting with it, rather than a team.

She'd been more than a little starstruck when he had been brought in and put into the tank, she would admit. And she might even admit she was still a little starstruck whenever she glanced into the tank at him. Of course, she only assumed it was male because of the general bone structure and the lack of obviously female bits, but it still seemed to be an accurate assumption, so she ran with it.

She was distracted from people-watching when her pager on her belt buzzed at her. She barely glanced at it to read the reminder for closing time before climbing down from her spot above.
