Vixen sighed softly before turning. "What am I just supposed to listen to everything you say andnot try to be nice to anyone like you said... not try to make friends... not feel bad that some people here now hate me... I do listen... but right now I'm just trying to do my job... I'm sorry if I can't help how my eyes look... I just haven't slept very well okay?" she said softly unsure of what else to tell him.

Valefar turned to face her with a serious look on his face. "Listen carefully." he started as he walked over to her and looked into her eyes seriously. "Yes, you're supposed to listen to me...you are my slave after all." he reminded and sighed. "I never said that you couldn't be nice to anyone. I actually hope that you are being nice that way you don't get into more trouble. Friends...well that's something I'm not familiar with so I really can't help you there." he explained and shrugged. "Go to sleep early now then...I don't ever want to see you like this again Vixen." he said quietly.

Vixen nodded then went back to work after she was sure he was done talking. She walked out of the library once she was done cleaning in there and just started making sure everything was nice and clean around the house and cleaning what wasn't already clean.

The moment she left, he leaned back against the wall and slid down to sit on the floor. His head was spinning for a while. When it stopped spinning, he stood up and went to the kitchen. "Has anyone fed Charlie?" he asked. "Sir..we can's find him..." said one maid. Valefar raised an eyebrow at this and stared at the maids. "I want you allto look for him and one of you better find him!" he snapped.

After awhile of everyone looking for Charlie and him not coming up even once the other maids started to think that maybe they should convince the prince to talk to his angel slave and have her find it... she did have a dragon of her own after all. "Um sir... Maybe Vixen is better suited to find your pet then we are... no one can even spot him and he won't come to any call in the least." one of the maided said softly as she came up to the prince hoping he would agree to talk to Vixen.

Valefar slammed his fists down on the table and glared at the maids. "Are you seriously asking to consider my slave?!" he asked and frowned. "You all lost Charlie...how can none of you find him! You all know what he looks like!" he hissed. "VIXEN!" he called angrily. "I can't believe I'm doing this..." he muttered under his breath but you could tell he was on the verge of tears.

"We're sorry sir." the maids said before bowing and leaving as Vixen walked down the stair having heard Valefar yell. "Yes... what is it that you need?" she asked softly as she walked into the room wondering why he had yelled for her and why all the maids seemed to be flustered at someone.

"I'm only asking you because everyone else failed." he said and looked around. "Find Charlie, and bring him back to me." he said as his voice cracked. "I...I'll be in my room...." he whispered and turned away from Vixen. Valefar wondered how could Charlie have gotten lost? Did he go off too far and can't find his way back? he thought to himself as he walked away.

Vixen nodded a bit before going to her room for a minute then walking out the guarden. she was back in within ten minutes and walked up to Valefar's room with Setta sitting on one shoulder and Charlie on the other. She then knocked on the door lightly and waited for Valefar to open it and see that she had his pet with her.

Valefar lay face down on his bed thinking about how this had even happened in the first place. When he heard a knock at the door, Valefar got up and walked over to the door then opened it. "Yes?" he said and widened his eyes when he saw Charlie sitting on Vixen's shoulder. "Charlie...!" he gasped and carefully picked him up off Vixen's shoulder, signaling for her to come in and close the door behind her. "Charlie...where were you?!" he asked but shook his head. "Never mind, don't answer...as long as you're okay, I don't care where you were." he said and pet Charlie gently.

Vixen nodded and came in then closed the door behind her unsure of why he wanted her to come in... Why did he want her in there? "Actually you may want to know where he was hiding... he actually wasn't far from where he normally sits.... he was under a rock sleeping.... apparently something spooked him earlier so he hid then fell asleep." she said softly hoping he didn't mind her telling him where he had been and why he had been there.... she really didn't want him to hurt her right after she did something good for him.

Valefar looked at Vixen as she spoke. "Really now?" he said and smiled slightly. "Vixen, I know this might sound odd...and I'm not used to saying any of this..." he started and looked at her. "Thank-you...for finding Charlie...for me..." he said and took a deep breath, before letting it out slowly. "Also..." he continued. "I want to say...that I'm sorry. Sorry for treating you the way...I did." he added and looked down at Charlie. "If something were to ever happen to Charlie...I don't know what I'd do." he whispered.

"It's quite alright and you're welcome." Vixen said softly giving a small smile. She was very forgiving... and she never really seemed to get really mad at Valefar... she just tried to be nice to him and be his friend.... no matter howw he treated her.

Valefar looked at her and blinked in confusion. "You forgive too easily, but I suppose that's good no?" he asked and smiled slightly before looking at Setta. "If I may ask, how long have you had Setta?" he asked Vixen as he continued to pet Charlie even though he had fallen to sleep on his arm.

"It seems it's both a good and bad quality of being part angel..." Vixen sighed softly then looked at Setta as she laid across her shoulders. "Setta? Oh... I've had her since I found her egg... My parents knew nothing about her until about a week after she hatched... they tried to get rid of her but I wouldn't let them... that was about.... 10 or so years ago..." he said softly as she thought but that seemed about right to her.

Valefar blinked and then laughed. "Wow, if I found an egg, I would have brought it home and have the maids cook it up for breakfast!" he commented with a sneer. "I don't really know how long I've had Charlie, but I do know it was a very long time." he explained and shrugged. "Yes, forgiveness is always a bittersweet thing, that's what mother always tells me. Father seems to agree with her each time too." he added.

"Hm... well that's true but I guess I just knew that there was something special and different about her egg... it didn't look like any normal egg I had ever seen... I guess I've just always known about dragons..." Vixen said softly with a slight smile then nodded to what Valefar said about his parents and kindness.

"Well I suppose you're right. I mean...a dragon egg always has to look different, I mean, they must be pretty bid right?" he asked her and cleared his throat. "I never believed in anything like dragons or faeries or stuff of that sort." he said softly. "I only believed in Demons, Angels, and humans. That's all I believed in...but when I came across Charlie here, well all that changed. Now I'll believe in anything when I see it with my own eyes." he explained.

"Hm... well... They're either allot bigger or smaller then normal eggs... Setta's egg shined a bright gold though and had something that looked like black vine markings wrapped around it... that's how I knew really..." Vixen said with a slight smile then nodded a bit. "Well.. since I found Setta at such a young age I've always believed in other creatures... no matter how out there they seemed." She smiled slightly seeming to be in a little bit better of a mood then she had been... even if it was still a little odd that she was in his room... but she was trying not to think much on that.

"So are ostrich eggs. I highly doubt that dragon eggs are bigger than ostrich eggs." he said and noticed the look on her face. "Something is bothering you." he said as he looked at her with narrow eyes. "It's my room isn't it?" he guessed and smirked. "My room bothers you Vixen?" he asked and sneered.

"Well... no not normally... you have to have a pretty big dragon to have an egg that big... most of the dragons that live close to anyone are small though." Vixen smiled then blinked some then a slight blush graced her cheeks and she shook her head. "No no there's nothing wrong with your room... I'm just surprised that you let me come in here is all..." she said softly with a small sheepish smile

Valefar nodded. "True, very true Vixen." he said and noticed her blush. "Hmm...that blush is telling me otherwise Vixen." he teased with a sly smirk on his face as he stared at her and walked towards her. "Ah...well yes...I really don't let anyone inside my room...I guess I made an exception this time..." he explained and shrugged.

"Oh no your room is actually kinda nice." Vixen said then noticed Valefar getting closer and stared down a bit unsure. She couldn't just run off... she couldn't turn her back on him either... she was his slave after all... and she was trying to be his friend... but with him getting closer to her it was starting to make her feel a little uneasy really.

"Yes, my room is very nice..." he agreed and looked around the room. "I always come here when I want to be alone...but as the prince, I can never really be alone." he explained with a sigh. Noticing that she was looking down, Valefar gently lifted her chin so he cold look at her properly. "You know, you could always leave if this bothers you so much." he said quietly.

"Oh... um... well do you want me to leave? If you need me to I will..." Vixen said softly trying not to blush as she felt his hand still under her chin. The only thing that really bothered her about this was that his hand was close to her collar and it unsettled her a little... even without doing anything wrong it still scared her to think that all he had to do was barely move his hand and she could be in pain.
