The King had been busy in his study but he had forgotten a paper in his room so he decided to go get it. It sure seemed busy, but that didn't bug him since the maids all stopped and bowed to him as they moved away from him. After walking down the stairs and through many halls, the King finally arrived at his room. When he noticed Vixen inside he was instantly filled with Rage. "What are you doing in here!" He yelled. "You're not allowed in this room ever!, have you forgotten or are you just that stupid?!" he added angrily as he yanked her up by her chain roughly.

"Oh oh oh! Please your highness I didn't mean to! Someone pushed me! The door was already open! I didn't mean to I swear!" Vixen cried out in pain as the king grabbed her collar and the longer he held it and the more he tugged on it the more it hurt. She nearly screamed at the pain weezing at how harshy her collar was shocking her.

"Oh please!" yelled the King. "Save your pathetic excuses!" Valefar groaned as he woke up to the loud noise and grumpily threw his bedroom door open and walked out to where the noise was coming from. His hair was a mess and he was still in his sleeping clothes. Valefar looked very different without the chains on him. "WHAT IS GOING ON!" he groaned both angrily and annoyed as he stared at both of them while rubbing his eyes. "Valefar, your slave was in your mother's and my room. You KNOW she's not allowed in here!" answered the King. Valefar nodded and looked at Vixen. "Is this true?" he asked just as his father yanked at her collar again.

Vixen heard Valefar and her eyes went to him right away when she heard him speaking to her and she tried to answer but was hit with another sharp volt of pain that made her cry out and jolted her muscles in her back making her wings appear without her really meaning to let them out. She was crying at this point, she couldn't hardly breathe and the harsh shocks from the collar were keeping her from calming at all to speak. She tried to whimper out again what she had told the king but it was really hard and she could only get out a few words. "w-was p-pushed... d-didn't m-mean t-to" was all she could really whimper and her voice was raspy and weak as she was trying to stay conscious.

Valefar stared at her and it wasn't until he noticed her crying, that he grabbed the chain on her collar and glared at the King. "Father! Let go you're hurting her!" he cried out and looked over at Vixen as she struggled to speak. The King's eyes widened when he saw her wings but glared at Valefar. "Hurting her is our job Valefar...she's a slave!" he yelled. "FATHER! I could care LESS what she is! Even if she IS a slave, we have no right to KILL her! Also, Vixen would never lie to me...I believe her when she said she was pushed!" he exclaimed and looked around. "This place looks very busy so it's possible that Vixen really was pushed, now let go! I want to take her away and talk to her alone....!" he growled. Reluctantly, the King let go and entered the room, grabbed a paper and left to his study once again. Valefar looked at Vixen and frowned. "Are you okay? Don't speak, just nod or shake your head." he said softly.

Vixen gasped weakly as the king finally let go of her collar and she crumbled to the ground still crying and trying to catch her breath as her body shook painfully. She shook her head slightly and whimpered some as that hurt too. She had her hand to her collar where you could see dark marks from her being shocked and from how long the king had held onto her collar for. Even her wings that were drooping were shaking and kept flexing slightly as if little jolts were being sent through them still.

Valefar kneeled in front of her and stretched his wings out before letting his wings come around her to cover her from sight. "I'm sorry Vixen. I should have come here sooner...I know your in pain...so I want you to rest...don't work today. Come, I'll take you to your room. Can you get up and walk?" he asked her as he gently looked at the dark marks and frowned. "I'm taking it off of you now and hide it in my closet." he explained in a hushed whisper.

"C-can you h-help me s-stand?" Vixen asked in a shaky and quiet answer since she thought she might be able to walk though she needed help standing... her body was actually nearly in shock from all the pain but she didn't want to burden Valefar with that.

Valefar raised an eyebrow then narrowed his eyes and looked at her. "Vixen...look at me and tell me honestly that you can walk. I really have no problem carrying you to your room you know." he assured and looked at her gently. "Just because I'm a prince and you're a...slave, doesn't mean I can't carry you to your room." he added softly.

Vixen looked at Valefar then sighed "I don't know..." she said still in a quiet raspy voice though really wasn't sure if she could of couldn't walk... she just knew she was really weak and hurting from her collar. She was actually a little surprised to hear what Valefar said... in all honesty she didn't think she had ever heard him call her a slave... she could be wrong but at least she didn't think he had before.

(I was planning on changing my avi...but didn't know to what...so decided to just change back xP)

Valefar carefully picked her up in his arms and walked over to her room. "I'm surprised that your guardians aren't here with you.." he said and looked at her collar. "I'm wondering...how am I going to take it off...if I try, it will probably shock me but I don't care." he muttered quietly before opening her bedroom door and walking inside and laying her down on the bed gently. "Okay, let's take this off..." he said quietly and stared at her collar carefully.

"Souls is sick..." Vixen said softly still sounding weak and raspy though she knew that Sinz didn't want to get her in anymore trouble with the king so she stayed out of it and stayed in the room to take care of Souls. "It has a hidden switch on the back... I believe only you can unhook it since she was meant to be your servant... if anyone else touches it it hurts both Vixen and the person touching it but it shouldn't hurt you." Sinz said as she appeared sitting on the windowledge in a smaller form then normal. "I'm sorry I didn't step in Vixen.... I was afraid if I did he would have killed you." she apologized softly to Vixen and she gave a small nod showing she understood though was just really weak and tired. She turned on her side a bit and moved her hair so the little hatch could be seen so Valefar could open it and switch off the collar so it could be taken off without it harming Vixen anymore.

Valefar looked around the room and frowned a bit. "Souls is sick...? How did she get sick?" he asked as he tried to make conversation with anyone who was willing to talk to him. Listening to Sinz, he nodded and looked at the collar around Vixens neck as he looked for the switch. When he found it, he carefully switched it off and began to unhook and remove the collar from around her neck. "My father probably would have killed you yes, but I wouldn't have allowed it because technically Vixen is my responsibility and only I can kill her if I wish, or I can order her to be killed." explained Valefar with a slight nod as he held her collar now removed from her neck in his hands. "I would never do that though..." he whispered.

Vixen shivered a bit as she listened to Valefar speak and that kinda scared her some... but then she heard his whisper and calmed a bit. "Yes, Souls is sick so she's trying to stay away from any demons... she doesn't want to take a chance on them getting sick. She's not really contagious to demons though... but if she were to get Vixen sick that wouldn't be good at all." Sinz said softly as she watched Vixen touch her neck a bit where it looked almost burnt from the king pulling on her collar so harshly. She was nearly passed out anyway from the pain but she didn't really want to seem rude to Valefar or anything so she was trying to stay awake until he left.

"I see..." he said and looked at the marks on Vixen's neck. "I'd get some ice on those burns...anyway, I should leave now and let you get some rest. I don't want you working for the rest of today, and all of tomorrow unless you feel that you can." he instructed and looked at both of them, his gaze lingering on Vixen a bit. "Feel better soon...both you and Souls.." he said before leaving her room with her collar in his hands. "I'll have to hide this..." he said to himself as he walked over to his room.

"Thank you Prince Valefar." Vixen said softly and Sinz nodded a bit before heading out of the room also to go and get two ice packs both wrapped in towels. She had Vixen lay her neck on one and put the other over the other side of her neck. Before long Vixen was fast asleep curled in the covers.

(what if him and his parents get into a discussion or something about Vixen? Ya know so we don't have to go ahead and skip to the next day XD )

As Valefar got closer to his room he heard someone clear their throat. Turning, he saw his mother and father standing behind him. "Hello, can I help you?" he asked them. "What are you holding?" asked his mother. "Oh this? It's nothing of importance really mother." He said and turned as he began to walk to his room again. "Now if you'll excuse me..." he said and continued walking. "Where's your slave?" asked his mother as they both followed him. "Vixen is in her room resting. Father almost killed her..." he said and turned to meet his mother's eyes. "I take it he told you what happened?" he asked and his mother nodded. "Of course he told me, I can't believe she had the nerve to enter our room! I believe we made it clear that she wasn't allowed in our room! Your father did the right thing by punishing her. You never do it anymore it seems." she added and narrowed her eyes. "Why don't you punish her now?" she asked. "I have no need to punish her, she does what she's told now. Vixen does all her chores and never complains so there really is no point for me to punish her." he explained. "Valefar, she's your slave! You have to punish her every now and then!" ordered his mother. "Key word mother, my slave! Not yours or father's!" exclaimed Valefar.

The king was getting a little irritated at his son as he listened to him sounding like he was arguing with his mothering. "No she's not our slave but if you don't punish her then she'll thinking that she can just do whatever she wants and there will be no consequences. And is that her collar that you're holding?! Why is it off of her?! Valefar she was wearing that so she couldn't leave, if she's not wearing that she could just up and leave at any time and we wouldn't know, do you want that?!" His father growled a bit darkly as he noticed what Valefar was holding and it seemed to make him even more irritated.

Valefar listened to his father and nodded. "I understand what you're saying. Though, just because I didn't punish her then doesn't mean I'll never punish her! I will punish her if she does something drastic!" he explained and quickly hid the collar behind his back and gulped. "I....I took it off..." he started and took a step back. He wasn't all that afraid of his mother but his father did terrify him very much, he just always hid it from him. "Vixen would never leave, I trust her...I only took it off because I don't want anyone killing her! If you had yanked at her collar any longer you would have killed her you know!" he yelled.

"Valefar you can't trust an angel of any kind, especially of her kind. Tainted are just as bad as dark angels, they are divious and never learn. She is also a slave that used to be royalty, she certainly shouldn't be trusted for at any moment she could decide to up and leave. And so what if I had killed her?! She's just a stupid angel, we could have easily gotten you a new slave that you could probably actually trust. And anyway why do you care?! she broke a house rule that EVERYONE fallows and knows not to break, I'm sure you would have punished her just as bed if not worse if she had went into your room without your permission." the king snarled a bit with power behind his voice. He clearly DID NOT like Vixen at all... it seemed he had actually been TRYING to kill her... which was possible.

Valefar listened and stood straight as his tail began to sway faster in an angry matter. His mother noticed this and sneered. "You're father is right Valefar. That slave is going to get up and leave while we all sleep and then what? Do you want her to leave?" she asked and narrowed her eyes. Valefar shook his head. "No, I don't want her to leave and I'm not going to let her leave. Vixen is my slave and I am going to make sure it stays that way. I won't let her leave the castle, I trust her and know she wouldn't leave unless she had a reason to..." he then stopped and thought for a bit but widened his eyes at what his father said. "I am not going to let you kill her father! Not you, not mother, not anyone! If anyone will kill her it's me!" he snapped at his father. Of course, Valefar would never kill Vixen unless she really did something drastic. "You're right father, I probably would have her her a lot worse if I had seen her in my room without my permission...but see, she'd never enter my room because I told her. I told her she can never go into my room unless I tell her to." he explained as he tried to remain calm. "Please don't tell me...that you actually feel something for this stupid angel girl!?" exclaimed his mother. Valefar turned to her and shook his head. "Mother, I feel nothing for her. I just won't allow her to be killed by anyone but me unless I order it!" he replied.

"Then why protect her so fiercely? I had every right to punish her the way I did for she broke a house rule, and again I say, you can never trust an angel of any sort." the king said fiercely then thought for a moment. "I'll tell you what, if I see her outside at all without you, I'll kill her... or torture her... does that seem fair?" The king snapped a bit but this was as far as he was going to let up and that was clear.

The queen looked at her husband with a sneer then at Valefar. "I am not...I..." started Valefar but stopped to take a deep breath. "Your offer doesn't seem fair at all father. You are asking me to be with her at all times? I am not her guardian or baby sitter!, she has her own guardians for that." he answered and glared at his father. "I expect the both of you to keep your hands off of my slave! I order it!" he yelled. The queen looked at Valefar and narrowed her eyes. "You can't order us to do anything Valefar. We are your parents and we have the right to do whatever we wish with whoever we wish." she spat.

"And on top of that I never said for you to babysit her, I'm just saying that she's not aloud outside the castle without either you with her or a collar around her neck, and if I find her outside, I'll kill her, it's as simple as that." The king said with a glare at Valefar for how he was acting. "And if what you say is true, that you're not protecting her, then I don't know... put that collar back on her, or better yet send her to the dungeon for a few days maybe." the king said with a bit of a scowl though really that idea didn't sound too bad to him.

"Okay then, I won't let her outside the castle unless she's with me..." he said as his tail continued to swish angrily behind him. "I won't let you kill her father, I won't allow it and I won't allow you to get near her!" he exclaimed and locked his eyes with his father's. Yes, his father terrified him, but he wasn't going to let his father scare him into doing what he wanted him to do. No, Valefar was going to stand up to his fear now. "Hmmm how about I do none of those choices?" he answered and sneered. "I hate the both of you, I hope you know that. In fact, I'm not doing anything either of you say. I'm going to do whatever I want and you know why? Well it's because I can!" he said angrily. "Valefar calm down! You have no right to ignore our orders, we are you parents after all and we hold the higher power in this castle. You can do all you want, but if we order her killed, it will be done." she explained with a sneer.
