Vixen sat where Valefar motioned for her to with Sinz next to her though just looked down shrinking at the feeling of his parents glaring at her. She then looked at the prince as he told them to leave her alone and gave a small thank you smile before looking back down still feeling the hatred his parents had for her.

"I won't allow you to speak to your mother that way!" hissed his father. "Father, I'm talking to the both of you like this." he answered and narrowed his eyes at his father then looked over at the food being served. "If you want to fight, I suggest you eat first...I know I am." he said and began to eat his food silently, occasionally feeding some to Charlie. He had caught Vixen's smile, and shot a smile back at her before going back to eating.

Vixen and Sinz both ate in silence but both of the girls could occasionally feel either the king or queens harsh eyes on them. Sinz had to hold back a snarl a few times because of the looks they were getting and DID NOT like ANYONE looking at Vixen that way.

Valefar knew that Sinz was probably very angry at this point due to the fact that his parents really hated Vixen at the moment. Even though there was a tension in the air, dinner went by very smoothly which surprised him but he was thankful for it. Standing, he looked over at Vixen and Sinz. "Come...let's go back to your room, you still need to rest." he said.

When the two were done eating they heard Valefar and Vixen nodded some as she stood though could feel the king glaring not just at her but Valefar as well as she walked over to him... she didn't really like that at all... Valefar hadn't done anything wrong... all he did was keep the king from killing her... his slave.

Valefar felt eyes on him and looked back to see that his father was staring at him. "What is it father? I'm just making sure that Vixen gets to her room safely, and that you don't kill her." he said with a sneer on his face. Turning his back to his parents once again, Valefar motioned for Vixen to follow him back to her room.

The king looked away and before long had gotten up and went to his study as well.

Vixen fallowed Valefar still a bit wary but felt safer now that they were out of the dining hall where the king was. She was terrified of the male really and she felt she could trust Valefar to keep her safe.

The moment they got to her room, Valefar opened the door for her and waited for her to enter before closing the door behind him. "I'm surprised that dinner went by smoothly, I was expecting father to lash out and kill you on spot, but I'm glad he controlled his urges." said Valefar with a smirk on his face.

"I'm surprised too... but if needed I do know how to protect myself against demons.... I just could never use it while I had that collar on... it had binding magic in it to keep me from using any angelic powers..." Vixen said softly though didn't seem to be acting cocky or anything... just stating a fact that she was sure the prince didn't know about since she was a tainted.

Valefar looked at her and chuckled as he shook his head. "I suggest you don't protect yourself against my parents...that will just make things worse for you in the end." he explained and pat her head gently. "Now get some rest, even though I don't think you need it since you look fine to me, but I'll let you get some rest anyway since you most likely still need it." he added.

Vixen listened to Valefar and didn't really understand... if she were to use a shield so she wouldn't get hurt and call for him then wouldn't that be safer? "Okay... I'm still feeling kinda weak... but by tomorrow I'll be just fine to work for sure." she said softly before going and sitting in bed and pulled out her book waiting to see if he was going to say anything else before he left so she wouldn't seem rude by reading while he was still in her room.

"It's okay if it takes you years to recover, as long as you get better I'm, happy." he said and was about to leave but looked at her again. "Also, when you go back to work, don't overwork yourself..." he said to her and took a step towards her but then quickly turned away and left her room. Frowning slightly, he walked with Charlie out to the garden and groaned in annoyance. "I don't know what to do anymore..." he muttered.

Vixen smiled some as she listened to Valefar then blushed a bit and laughed a little. "I do tend to over work... I'll try not to though." she smiled some then went back to reading once Valefar was out of her room.

(hm... what shall we do now? I kinda see the king trying to kill her again and maybe Valefar comes in and yells at him? Maybe saying that he cares about her or something? Or maybe the next day the king is watching Vixen work and blames her for something going missing or something and locks her in the dungion? idk I just want something interesting to happen XD ooh! What if Valefar's parents do that and arrange for him to get married to a demon princess or a vampire princess or something? Tell me what you think of my ideas or throw in some ideas of your own X3 )

Valefar watched Charlie eat some flowers and sighed. "I won't deny that I care about Vixen...but that shouldn't mean anything right?" he asked the pet dragon. "I don't know...but whatever I am feeling, I'll make sure it doesn't go away."

((We can have them kiss right, and well maybe his father walks in on that and angrily takes Vixen away and locks her up in the dungeon then arranges for him to marry a demon princess?))

(wow nice combination of my ideas XD and yes they can kiss... he would just have to kiss her because she's really too skittish to kiss him first X3 shall we skip to the next day or shall I have Sinz come out to talk to him?)

Vixen had awoken that morning feeling good as new and was soon going about her normal daily chores. She cleaned for some time before going to take a break in her room. Souls was feeling better now and she sat and spoke to her for a few minutes before watching both her and Sinz leave the room with Amber and Setta taking them out to stretch their wings for awhile. She smiled as she sat in a chair that was close to her bed and pulled out the book she had been reading and started to read it while she let her muscles relax.

"Charlie...why don't you go and have fun outside. Play in your pond but don't wander off too far." he instructed as he got dressed for the day. "I'm going to go see what Vixen is doing, I hope she's not over working herself." he explained and watched Charlie fly out of the castle and into the pond. Sighing, Valefar walked over to her room and knocked on her door before walking inside and closing the door behind him. "Hello Vixen. I see you're reading..." he said as he walked over to her.

"Good morning Prince Valefar... yes I was just taking a break, I've been working all morning." Vixen said softly as she looked up from her book and put a bookmark in it to hold her place as she closed it. She knew he would probably be glad that she wasn't over working herself and doing as he instructed.

"Well that's good. I don't ever want you to over work yourself, nothing good ever comes out of that you know." he said and looked at her carefully. "It makes me happy to know that you're taking breaks. Sure it might take longer for you to get things done but at least you don't get hurt or sick doing the work this time." he explained and played with a strand of her hair.

"Yes I will be sure to not overwork myself anymore." Vixen smiled though then felt a blush creeping into her cheeks as she felt Valefar playing with a strand of her hair and she clearly wasn't expecting it.

"Well good, I want you to keep working like this. I want you to keep taking breaks every now and then." he ordered. When he saw the blush starting to show up, he smirked. "Vixen....can I try something?" he asked her and looked at her. "I want to try something but I don't know if I should. I want to though to just set things straight..." he said.

"Um... sure... but what are you going to try?" Vixen asked softly and curiously unsure of what he was talking about or going to do... but now she trusted him not to hurt her... so she didn't think that that's anything to worry about... she knew he wouldn't hurt her, he said he liked her.

"I'm going to try something I probably should have done yesterday. Something I denied myself to do but am not going to deny myself any longer." he explained and tucked the strand of hair behind her ear gently. "Close your eyes, it's a surprise..."

"O-okay." Vixen said blushing a little again before closing her eyes unsure of what he was going to do. Suddenly she was reminded of a book she had read once... but.... would he? he didn't really seem like the type... but what else would he be doing unless he was going to give her a present or something? Would he really kiss her? That's one of the few things this really reminded her of... and yet it still made her a bit nervous.
