"Huh... I expected you to high tail it out of here as soon as the collar was off of Vixen... or do you actually want to marry me?" Setsudan asked as she turned to look at Valefar curiously. In all honesty without a collar they could easily get away without any consequences but if he had left with Vixen having that collar on it would have killed her almost as soon as they got out of the kingdom. Was he actually thinking about what she had said about not being able to have a child with the tainted angel girl then? or did he just take more interest in her?

"Well no...I stayed here because even if I left...where would I go?" he replied and sat on his bed as he thought about what she had told him about not being able to have a child with Vixen. "There is a small chance that Vixen can survive if she had a child of mine. After all, Vixen is a tainted Angel...but I don't want to take the risk." he explained. "I don't want to take the risk and end up killing her...so I really have no choice but to marry you." he answered and looked at her.

"You really care about her don't you?" Setsudan asked as she walked back over and sat on the bed a little bit away from Valefar though continued to look at him still wondering how a demon could possibly fall in love with even a tainted angel.

Valefar looked at her and sighed. "If I had met you a lot earlier and you had asked that, I would lie and say that Vixen meant nothing to me. To me she was nothing but a stupid slave that deserved to be put in her place and be shown who was in charge." he started. "I would have told you that I hated her because she's nothing but trouble and seems to be a very nosy person who's wings I would rip out the second I had a chance. I could tell you all those things all demons want to hear but I would be lying to you." he added.

"Heh... I've never even heard of a demon liking an angel to be honest... I mean... maybe a dark angel because they are pretty much demons... but not a tainted or a normal angel... I really surprised your father hasn't killed her yet really... but you do know it will be hard to keep feelings for her while being married to me right?" Setsudan said softly though honestly since she couldn't see how he would be able to have both of them... at some point one of them would be neglected and she would make sure it was not herself.

"My father hasn't killed her yet because I never let him. He'd have to kill me first before he even lays a hand on Vixen." he hissed. "Setsudan, even when we get married you'll be staying here and Vixen will still be my slave. I'll see her whenever I choose to see her and I will still always love her no matter what happens. If you kill her, I'll still love her...so I'm not too worried." he explained and looked at her in the eyes unafraid.

"I wasn't saying that I would kill her... I'm just saying it would be kinda hard... I mean eventually we'll have a child and at that point you can't just ignore me because you love Vixen..." Setsudan pointed out softly just seeming to be pointing out things that would be to come.

"Tell me, why would I need to listen to you? You'd be to busy with the baby anyway, not that I care." he said and looked out the window. "Besides, I'm just marrying you to make everyone I hate happy including you." he said through gritted teeth. With his back to her, his tail swayed slowly behind him and his eyes stared at the cloudy sky which meant it would rain soon.

"You don't know much about children and pregnant women do you? You need to be there for your wife while she's pregnant or the child ends up sick when it's born from the mother being stressed while she was pregnant..." Setsudan explained softly just trying to tell him how it worked while a woman was pregnant so he would know for future refrence... even if he didn't marry her. She sighed a bit looking away a little making it seem like she was really upsetted by the fact he didn't want to marry her... which she was a little but mostly she just wanted to draw him in.

"I'm a male...of course I don't know anything about women and their needs. All I know is that some can be whiny." he answered and looked at her as he listened to what she was saying. "Look, just because I hate you doesn't mean I'm going to hurt you or anything. I'll listen to you and all that but I will leave you alone at times because I need alone time too. I know you'll think that I'll leave you alone to be with Vixen, but that won't be the case all the time you know. Sometimes I'll take Charlie and just relax with him like we are used to doing." he explained and frowned when he saw her look away.

"But... you won't always hate me will you? I mean... I've always kinda liked you ever since I met you a few years back..." Setsudan said softly still not looking up though this time she wasn't lying, she had liked him since she met him a few years ago at a ball that his parents through... but she still wanted him to herself... like she would say that though.

"Oh please Setsudan, I never met you before! We never met before so don't start lying to me already!" he snapped and stood up then walked to the window and looked out. "I don't remember seeing your face ever. I probably won't always hate you, but I will never love you." he said plainly.

"But we have met before, I met you a few years ago at a ball that your parents through... you weren't very into dancing so I talked to you instead... you don't remember meeting me before? We spent most of that day together." Setsudan said and this time honestly felt a little hurt that he didn't remember ever meeting her at the ball.

Valefar's eyes widened as he listened to her talk about that day. That day began to play in his head as she spoke and it hurt to even remember it. "I remember it now. It was a horrid day. I only spent the day with you because I was making my parents happy." he said. "I will do anything to make them happy...even if it means me being miserable. I'm just sick and tired of fighting them now...I'm done. I'm going to let them run my life for me and let them tell me what to do because I'm tired of fighting them." he explained. "I probably didn't remember the ball party because I hated it...why would I remember something I hate?" he asked and turned to look at her before looking back out the window.

"oh... well... I... I didn't know that..." Setsudan said looking aeay actually feeling really bad now. Originaly she had just been trying to guilt him but now she was feeling awful for the fact that she had actually really enjoyed that ball... spending it with him had made it bearable... but to find out he had absolutely hated it... that was horrible... and it hurt her feelings.

Valefar looked over at her wit his arms crossed across his chest. He hated seeing people sad even if the person who was sad was someone he hated. "Setsudan...I'm sorry but you should know by now that I'm not going to lie to you. Especially if we are to be married. It will be hell for both of us since I'll hate every second I have to spend with you and you'll hate it too knowing that you'll never have a place in my heart since my heart is already occupied by Vixen." he said and sneered.

"You're awful Valefar! I was trying to be nice to you! I care about you and all you say is that you hate me!" Setsudan said then stood and stormed out of the room and you could tell she was truly upset and it wasn't just an act or anything.

(well my plan backfired XD oh well)

Valefar blinked and watched as Setsudan stormed out. "I hate you too!" he called after her and began to laugh happily for the first time in a long time. He then stopped short and let Charlie back inside before heading over to Vixens room and knocking before entering with a smile on his face.

Vixen had just started to wake up when she heard the knock and slowly moved to sit up before looking over to Valefar. "What are you so happy about?" she asked softly her voice still a bit raspy before Sinz handed her a glass of water which she used to help sooth her throat. She hadn't been awake long enough for her to be told what Sinz and Valefar had been talking about so Sinz just supposed that Valefar would tell her himself.

"I made Setsudan mad at me!" he said and laughed happily. "This is perfect! Setsudan kept being nice to me and I kept saying that I hated her and that I would never love her. I told her that I would only marry her to make my parents happy." he explained and looked at her. "I assume Sinz told you why I have no choice but to marry her?" he asked.

"Um... why is it a good thing that you made her so mad? and no I just woke up right before you came in... why would you have to marry her? If I don't have that collar on there shouldn't be any reason why we can't just leave?" Vixen asked softly and yo could tell she didn't like the idea of him marrying Setsudan... she loved him... why couldn't they just leave and be together?

"It's good because I love making people I hate mad." he said and smiled but his smile soon disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. Sighing, Valefar leaned against the door and stared at Vixen seriously. "I can't marry you because if I do chances are that you'll die and then what will happen to my kingdom?" he said. "If we leave Vixen...where will we go? We have no where to go and there is no way that I'm stepping into your angelic palace." he added.

"Valefar... I won't die if we're close... you're talking about if I get pregnant aren't you? It all deppends on the state of mind and how strong a person is... and I know a place that's not on either land that we could stay at, my cousin's, he's the one that gave me Amber, all I have to do is contact him and he should let us stay in his guest house no problem." Vixen said softly before slowly getting out of bed and walking over to Valefar looking at him softly. "Besides I was banished from the angelic kingdom... I can never go back remember?" she said softly as she looked up at him hoping he liked her idea.

Valefar listened to Vixen and nodded. "Vixen it's still a risk you know..." he said and you could see the pain in his eyes at the thought of loosing her. When she began to explain her plan he sighed softly and thought about it. "Your cousin...he's a fallen angel too? Or is he a full angel?" he asked and continued to think. He liked the idea very much, the chances of them being found was slim but the only thing troubling him was leaving his home. Leaving everything and everyone behind...well except for Charlie and his Violin. Looking at her, he gently pulled her into a hug and stroke her hair as he thought.

"He's a full blooded angel, a pure angel... but he never has his wings out... he's not at all like my parents either... I think the only time he ever has his wings out is when he's got his wings out is when he's taking care of some of the phoenix's." Vixen explained softly then smiled some as she hugged Valefar back. Really she didn't like close contact but for whatever reason this was kinda nice and made her happy. She knew he probably didn't want to leave, but once the king was dead they could always come back... it was just the fact if they stayed now they would both be miserable and Valefar would probably end up marrying Setsudan.
