"He's fine I think he's just worried that's all." Vivian said softly before looking over worriedly as she saw a nurse walking into the room that the two were in with an incubator and breathing machine.

Seeing the incubator and breathing machine, Usha raised an eyebrow. "Something is wrong with the baby I am guessing." she guessed and looked at Cresil and Vivian. "I just hope that everything turns out okay." she whispered.
Valefar yawned softly and nuzzled Vixen's cheek softly as he continued to hold her hand in his. He looked up when a nurse came in with an incubator and breathing machine but wasn't worried or surprised. When they came here before, the doctor did say the child would be a premature child...so this was normal.

"It's a girl, congratulations Prince Valefar. Unfortunently I can't let you hold her yet though... she's much too small and weak right now for that. In about a day or so she should be fine though and then we can continue to make sure that everything else is okay." The doctor said softly and reassuringly before the nurse took the little crying baby and wiped her off before hooking her up to the two machines and placing her in the incubator that showed her weight as being about five pounds.

"A girl....just what Vixen wanted." he said quietly as he listened to the doctor. "That's fine doctor, I understand. Just make sure that nothing happens to the baby." he commented and looked at the doctor seriously before glancing over at the nurse with his and Vixen's child. The baby looked so small and weak, it was depressing but he tried his best not to be sad, instead he smiled because at least she wasn't dead. Looking at Vixen, he kissed her forehead gently and knew she'd be happy to know it was a girl like she wanted.

"Do you want me to go get your family?" The doctor asked once Vixen was fixed up and everything seemed okay.

Looking at the doctor, Valefar nodded before looking back at Vixen. He didn't know what his parents would do in this situation, Vixen was sleeping so there wasn't much they could do but wait. All he knew was that he'd be bombarded with questions.

The doctor nodded before walking out and right away caught the attention of Vivian who stood worriedly. "Everything is fine, she's sleeping right now and the baby is very small but so far everything else is fine. It will be about a day or two before anyone can hold the baby though, she is very fragile." the doctor said and that soothed Vivian a bit. "The Prince said that you all can come in when you feel you want to though." he said before heading off to go help another paceant leaving a nurse in charge that would come and check up on them every about ten minutes.

Usha wasted no time and want off to where Valefar and Vixen were, Cresil followed close behind her. Valefar was tired as he ran his nails through her hair and watched Vixen sleep soundly. "I'm glad that both of you are okay." he whispered and looked up when his mother and father entered the room. "Hello" he said simply and smiled. "It was a baby girl.." he informed since he knew it was something they'd want to know. "How are you feeling dear?" asked Usha as she began to gently run her fingers through his hair. "I'm tired honestly, but I'm glad that nothing happened to any of them." he answered and leaned into his mother's touch. "A baby girl...have you thought of names?" asked his father. "The truth is we haven't...but I'm sure that Vixen and I will come up with something as soon as she wakes up and is ready to think." he answered.

Vivian watched Valefar and his parents then looked over to the baby and walked over to the incubator and smiled. "She's beautiful... she looks just like Vixen did as a baby.... even has some hair like Vixen did." she smiled softly but brightly.

"Does she really?" asked Valefar as he closed his eyes. He hadn't bothered to really look at the baby girl, he preferred to stay were he was and hold Vixen's hand. "I know Vixen will be very happy to see her. Are you all going to stay here the night?" he asked honestly. Cresil shook his head, "We can't Valefar. We left Setta and Charlie alone and someone needs to look after them." he explained. Usha nodded. "Your father is right dear, but Vivian can stay if she wishes to." she said softly.

"I wouldn't worry too much about those two, then have Sinz, Souls and Nixy, and besides Setta is very smart... and Charlie's learning." Vivian said before nodding at the mention of her staying. "If nothing else I can at least be here so Valefar doesn't have to leave Vixen's side for any reason... well other then the bathroom of course." she smiled then laughed a little at the end.

"I miss Charlie already. Mother, Father...since you'll be going back home, make sure he doesn't get too sad since I'm not going to be there. Oh, and just tell him I'm fine since he'll probably be very worried about me." he explained and chuckled. Usha nodded and cradled him in her arms. Valefar yawned tiredly as he rested against his mother, he had never really been treated kindly before by his parents. He couldn't remember a moment where his mother ever held him until just recently. As a child, he was never properly loved and now that he was getting the love he never got before, he didn't ever want it to go away.

Vivian smiled at Usha and Valefar before pulling a chair up to Vixen's other side and took her other hand softly smiling at her lovingly as she moved a few hairs out of her face.

Usha and Cresil stayed a while longer before excusing themselves and soon were gone. Valefar sighed when they were gone, he already missed his mother holding him. He was acting childish...he knew it but he couldn't help it really, he was just getting used to it all. Looking over at Vixen, he smiled softly, watching her as she removed the hairs from her face...something he usually did but not now.

"I can tell that you're glad things are changing... Usha's standing up for you, Cresil is warming up to the idea of you two getting married, I think I even saw him smile at your little girl. I knew everything would work out for you both, I'm so glad that it is." Vivian smiled softly as she looked over to Valefar and truly seemed happy for him.

Listening to Vivian, Valefar chuckled. "I am very glad at how things are turning out so far. Though...there is always a chance that things will go downhill from here and go back to normal." he answered as he looked at Vixen and smiled. "It's nice to know my mother actually loves me...I don't know why she never loved me before...but that's all in the past." he commented and looked back at Vivian. "Did my father really smile?" he asked and grinned. "I don't think I've ever seen my father smile before." he noted.

"You're mother has always loved you Valefar... I think it was just hard for her to show it before." Vivian said softly then thought some. "Well I think he did at least... you're father has always been such a serious man... even when he was just a boy." she said softly with a slight smirk.

"I don't think it was hard...I just think that she was probably afraid. My mother has always done all she could to keep my father happy...maybe she feared showing me love would upset him." commented Valefar with a shrug. "If that's the case, then I forgive her because she had a valid reason. My father is a scary man when he's angry." explained Valefar. He was surprised at what Vivian said and his eyes widened in interest. "Tell me about him, you knew him at a younger age...so you must know a lot about him." said Valefar softly.

"That is true." Vivian said then smiled some. "Well you see, when I was young my mother had disowned me... at that time no woman could go to school and finding a foster parent to take care of a half angel was very hard. My mother had actually been a noble demon that had visited the angel kingdom for an attempt on a peace treaty, at that time she had been taken by one of the royal guards and ended up pregnant. I never met my father either. So when I was... probably about five or so she just left me at the gates to the very castle that you live in now. You're mother was a noble that was visiting the castle that day and her parents found me at the gates and decided to find a home for me. I stayed with them for awhile and even got to meet your father while staying with Usha. He loved to play pranks on us but he could also be very stubborn and a bit too mature for his age. I actually stayed with Usha for a few months and then was taken in by a maid in the castle. I was teased allot but your father always stood up for me. We spent a lot of time together... until we got older and the castle was attacked by angels. He tried to protect me but he was still just a young man and couldn't help me... I was kidnapped and was taken away for about five or so years. When I came back he was ingaged to your mother and had changed. He was much more serious and protective, he wasn't the same boy that could be happy anymore. I worked at the castle for a while longer, went to his wedding, and was there until you were about two or so.... then I went off to visit my adopted mothers family in no mans land... that's where I was taken by the angels. I only got to contact Usha a few times after that, only enough to know that Cresil was letting you be raised how he was and to tell her that I had two little girls." Vivian explained her history with Usha and Cresil and sounded a bit sad a few times as she spoke but didn't seem to mind sharing the information.

Valefar listened and was surprised at what he heard. "So...my father was a trickster before?" he repeated and grinned. It was amazing how much his father had changed. "He stood up for you...like I do for Vixen, interesting." he commented and thought. "Wait...did my father not love my mother?" he asked slightly confused. "I look at my parents and see that he loves my mother very much." he stated and tilted his head to the side. "Wait, I'm confused. My father wants me to be like him...okay I get that much. What I don't understand is why you sound so sad. Are you not happy with how things turned out Vivian?" he asked her softly.

((Oh that's fine! I like it!))

"Well... Cresil didn't have the best childhood... his parents were never there for him, his mother just didn't care and would have much rather go to parties and balls then to be close to him... his father was always busy and when he wasn't... well he had concubines. He was raised by his teachers that taught him that he was to never show much emotions. He was held on a very tight leash so whenever he got the chance he would do something that would mess his teachers up." Vivian said with a slight frown then sighed some. "Well... I'm happy for how things are now but... if you asked me before what is the one thing I would change in my life... I would have changed when I had been kidnapped when I was younger... I would have made it that I would have stayed in the castle and maybe even have gotten closer to Cresil... I loved him at the time... but seeing how happy Usha is now, and getting to meet you and seeing how much my daughter loves you, I wouldn't change a thing." she said softly but then smiled kindly at the end as she touched his cheek softly.

Hearing this, it showed Valefar that he and his father were alike in many ways, and it made him smile sadly when Vivian confessed that she loved him back then. "Well isn't that sweet? Do you still like my father?" he asked curiously and smiled softly when she placed her hand on his cheek. His father had a strict childhood...just Like Valefar was having now. Why didn't his father ever love anything he did? Probably because his own parents never liked anything he did either. Hearing the story of his father's childhood...it made Valefar understand him a lot more. "I wonder what life would have been like if you were my mother...well I probably wouldn't have been born." he said and chuckled as he leaned into her touch.

"I do... but not in the same way... especially finding out that he tried to kill Vixen.... that changed my thoughts of him a bit." Vivian said then smiled some. "but then you would have never met Vixen, and could have never had such a beautiful baby girl." she smiled a bit as she felt Valefar leaning into her touch some and could tell he was just eating up whatever attention he could.

Valefar then pulled away from Vivian's touch and smirked. "Ah yes. my father is such an evil man isn't he?" he asked and shrugged as he looked over at Vixen. "He never did kill her though. You shouldn't worry Vivian...no one is killing no one." he assured and rubbed his eyes tiredly. "I won't let anyone get killed, trust me on that." he muttered.

"No I didn't so he was evil at all. Why don't you get some sleep? I'm sure you're tired." Vivian said softly before she headed out of the room to ask a doctor if they could move a second bed into the room next to Vixen's so Valefar could sleep and they brought it in within a few minutes.
