Eofe had waken up and was coughing as well as burning up in fever. Valefar ate his desert silently and thought of Eofe. He really wanted to go see her, but he didn't want to risk getting sick. I hope she gets better soon...she's the only other person I can talk to in here besides Charlie...I really have no one else. he thought to himself as he continued to eat. When he was done, he got up and quickly left to the library. Valefar had never felt so afraid and depressed in his entire life before. He was so used to seeing Eofe, that the thought of her being gone just scared him. What would it be like without her?

Vixen quietly walked back to Eofe's room and noticed that she was awake. She quickly went and fetched a drink for her and brought it into the room. "Do you want some water?" she asked softly and worriedly at the sound of the cough. She hoped that Eofe would get better... but it seemed she was only getting worse.

Eofe looked at her and smiled. "Thank-you dearest..." she whispered weakly as she took the drink and sipped at it. "So...tell me..." she started. "How are things...coming along?" she asked before couching into her apron and sipping more of her drink. "Is the castle clean? Are you making sure to tend the beds?...clean the rooms, change the sheets?" she asked. "You can ask another maid to help you if you need it..." she said weakly.

"Don't worry everything is being taken care of, I did promise that I would take care of it didn't I?" Vixen smiled softly though then looked down with a sigh. "He found out that you were sick though... I thought he had already known... I'm so sorry... he's right... it is all my fault." She said quietly clenching the fabric on her shorts a bit feeling awful. It wasn't really all her fault... but she had been sick and she had gotten Eofe sick.

Eofe shook her head. "Ah yes, I remember that you did say that. I'm glad you're keeping your promise. I'm sure that if you weren't, the king and queen would both be very unhappy. Especially the prince." she explained and smiled. "No dearest, none of this is your fault. People get sick every day, It's only natural." she said and laughed happily. "I can explain it to the prince...just get him to come here..." she whispered.

"I honestly think I'm the last person he wants to see but okay... before I go and get him though do you want more to drink? Or do you need something else?" Vixen asked as she changed the cool rag again making sure that Eofe stayed as cool as possible.

"Turn on the ceiling fan and get me more to drink please." she instructed kindly and couched harshly into her apron. Eofe was a very kind demon who didn't worry about anything and did her best to please everyone.

Vixen nodded and went to turn on the fan then got Eofe more to drink before she left going to see if Valefar was in the library. She stepped in and looked around seeing if she could find him though knew where his room was if she couldn't.

Eofe smiled and waved her off. Valefar was staring at all the books, saying out loud if he had read them or not. "Oh I red it twice...pretty interesting book..." he said to himself but quickly looked over at the door and noticed Vixen. "Come in or get out." he ordered.

"I just came to tell you that Eofe wants to see you... but don't get too close to her she's very contagious... She's in her room laying down." Vixen said softly before leaving the room and went back to check on Eofe and see if she needed anything more to drink.

Valefar listened to her and sighed mentally. As long as I stay at the doorway, I'll be fine... he thought to himself before heading over to Eofe's room. Eofe had finished her drink and looked at Vixen. "Can you get me more water dearest?" she asked tiredly.

"Of course." Vixen smiled softly as she took the glass and went to get Eofe more water quickly then was back within a few minutes and handed it to her. "Here ya go, do you need anything else? Are you feeling up to eating yet? I could have the cook fix you some soup?" she asked softly wanting to do whatever she could to help the woman get better.

Eofe smiled and thanked Vixen for the water. "Soup sounds lovely, they know what I like and what I don't like." she said and pointed to the door as she heard a knock. "Get the door..." Valefar had knocked three times. It was his way of saying it was him.

"Yes of course." Vixen smiled before going to open the door getting out of the way so Valefar could come in. Once he was out of her way she walked out and went to go tell the cooks to make up a batch of soup for Eofe.

Valefar looked at Eofe and frowned. "I just found out that you were sick...no one told me. I'm sorry Vixen got you sick, I'll punish her for it." he said and smiled sadly. Eofe shook her head. "It is true that she got me sick yes, but it wasn't her fault. You see sir, while I was taking care of her and cleaning around her room I got too close to her when she told me not to." she explained. "So it really is my fault that I'm sick. I'll get better sir, I promise." she said with a smile. "I hope so Eofe. The castle wouldn't be the same without you." he said sadly.

After about ten minutes Vixen walked back into the room with a tray with a bowel of soup on it being very careful not to spill even a drop of it. "Can you sit up okay?" She asked softly as she looked over to Eofe hoping she could sit up or this would be hard.

Eofe looked at Vixen and smiled. "I can Dearest." she said and carefully sat up. Watching how weak she had become, was making Valefar feel sick himself. It was very depressing to see her just lay in bed all day, hoping to get better soon. "I'll get going now...get plenty of rest Eofe and get better soon." he said before leaving back to the library.

Vixen carefully helped Eofe sit up then set the tray down so she could eat and went and got her more to drink before stepping back. "Is there anything else you need?" she asked softly with a small smile wanting to help in any way she could.

Eofe shook her head. "I'm fine for now dearest." she said and looked down at her soup. "You may go now, go take care of anything that needs taking care of." she said before eating her soup carefully. Valefar looked through the books in the library and tilted his head to the side as he stared at one. "Oh wow, I thought I'd lost this book..." he said as he took it out of the book shelf.

"Of course, I'll be back in to check on you in a little bit, but if you need anything just call for me." Vixen smiled softly before leaving the room and going to make sure that everything was nice and clean around the house before heading to the library to straiten up in there not knowing that Valefar was in there as well.

Valefar grabbed the book and flipped the the first page. "I only read this once...but it's a very good book, I might just read it again." he said to himself and stopped when he heard the door open and close. Who's here I wonder...It's probably Vixen. I wonder what brings her here... he thought to himself as he peeked out from behind a bookshelf and stared at her before hiding again behind the book shelf.

Vixen hummed a tiny bit as she dusted some of the books that looked like they needed it though mostly was just dusting the top of the shelves... though there were no foot steps to be heard of. She had her small red-ish pink wings out to help her so she could reach the top of the shelves not knowing that Valefar was in the room. She never really used her wings when anyone else was around... she didn't like the way people looked at them and none of the demons had seen her wings yet... the only reason she was using them now was to clean in hard to reach spaces.

Valefar noticed her wings and gasped audibly, causing him to cover his mouth and drop his book. Cursing under his breath he quickly picked it up and glanced over at Vixen, and stared at her wings. They were very interesting, very different from what he'd seen or expected.

When Vixen heard the gasp she was shocked and yelped out of surprise as she fell hitting the ground with a thud and grumbling as she sat up rubbing her head then her back and looked over to Valefar her face turning a bit pale as her wings vanished. she was shocked and wasn't really sure what to say or do... he had seen her wings... the one thing that caused her to be very different from all the other angels... what would he say about it though?

Valefar stared at her for a while before walking over to her, book in hand. "Did I frighten you?" he asked and sneered. "Those are interesting wings you have. They aren't angelic.." he started and pointed to his own wings. "Nor demonic. It's no wonder you have everyone confused." he said. "Let me have a closer look..." he ordered.
