Valefar's eyes widened as his daughter tackled him with a hug. "Hello my little princess!" he said as he caught her and grinned. "How's my little birthday girl doing?" he asked and chuckled as he fixed her hair gently. Looking at Vixen, he smiled and kissed her softly before looking back down at Mela who was still hugging him. He and Mela have always been really close, she was daddy's little girl and always got what she wanted when he was around. "Happy birthday, Little Mela." he said as he handed her a small box that held a white gold necklace with a heart pendant made of pure pink opal. He knew she probably wouldn't be able to see it, but he still wanted to get her something for her birthday, as if the party and pets weren't enough.

"I'm great! I'm having so much fun playing with my friends!" Mela smiled brightly then cocked her head a bit as she took the box and felt the necklace softly before staring closely at it then smiled again brightly. "It's so pretty thank you." she smiled and hugged both Valefar and Vixen. Vixen smiled softly and took the box from Mela before getting the necklace out and putting it on her. "Now be careful so you don't loose it okay Mela?" she smiled softly before watching Mela nodded happily then give them both another hug before she ran back off to play with her friends again. "I can't believe she's already fourteen." Vixen said softly with a soft smile as she hugged Valefar lovingly.

Nero knew today was Mela's birthday and had gotten her a really plush cream colored teddy bear with and orange bow on it's head. He knew she couldn't see too well, so had gotten her something she should feel. Walking over to her house, he nervously knocked on the large front doors and was let in by a maid who led him out to the garden. "Prince Valefar, another guest has arrived." she said before leaving back inside the house where they were finishing up the cake. Valefar nodded at what Vixen said as he hugged her back lovingly. "I know...she grew up so fast." he agreed and turned when the maid spoke. Seeing Nero he smiled. "Hello Nero, glad to see you could make it. I'm sure Mela will be happy to see you." he commented. Nero chuckled and nodded. "Well I wouldn't have missed such an important day Prince." he said before excusing himself and walking towards Mela.

Weasel backed a bit as he saw Nero making Mela look up and smile from where she was sitting on the swings and swinging high with a few of her friends. "NERO! YOU MADE IT!" she smiled before jumping off of the swings in midair but used her rather... odd wings to land before she ran over and hugged the male. At the tope of her little pink wings they looked like ordinary angel wings... until you looked further down and they turned into dark red demon wings that is.

Nero hugged her back and nodded. "Of course I made it Mela, happy birthday." he said as he handed her the teddy bear. "It's not much I know, but I thought you'd still like it." he commented softly with a smile. Nero was known for two things, his barcode tattoo on his left shoulder, and all the piercings he had. He had actually gotten a new piercing the day before, it was a belly button piercing with spikes at both ends.

Mela smiled brightly as she hugged the teddy bear and then hugged Nero. "Oh thank you I love it, it's so soft and cuddly." she smiled before stepping away. "Oh look what Poppa got me yesterday! I named her SnowFlake!!!" she smiled brightly as she picked the little ice fox up and held her out proudly having set the bear safely on the dry grass below her.

"Snowflake huh? She's really pretty, it's nice of your father to get you all these awesome things." he said and gently pet the ice fox for a bit before looking at Mela. "Guess what I got yesterday?" he said and smirked. Nero wasn't sure if she even liked his piercings, but he liked to show them off to people.

"Poppa said so long as I can take care of them he doesn't mind me having as many as I like." Mela smiled as she hugged Snow then sat her down before picking up the teddy bear again and looked at Nero curiously. "What?" she asked lightly still smiling easily.

Nero listened and nodded. "Well I agree. If you can take care of all of them, then you can have them all." he agreed and smirked when she asked what it was curiously. Lifting up his shirt, he pointed to his belly button piercing and grinned. "I got a new piercing!" he said excitedly. "I might get another one tomorrow." he said and shrugged. "What do you think?" he asked.

"That's really cool... but why would you want another one? Where would you even put it?" Maya asked softly after smiling some.

"hey Valefar... we've let Nero around Mela for years but how old is he? I don't think I've ever asked or seen his parents?" Vixen asked Valefar softly as she sat with him and watched their daughter.

"Well I was thinking a tongue piercing. It will probably be my last one I get." he explained and smiled. "Why? I don't know...I think it would look really cool though." he answered.

Valefar sat down with Vixen and listened to her. "Nero? He's sixteen I believe." he answered and chuckled. "I wouldn't worry too much love, he and Mela seem to get a long very well." he assured.

"Well that's really cool if you ask me." Mela smirked some before hearing some of her other friends coming up and pretty much begging her and Nero to come play with them again.

"Oh okay. How come his parents are never here? He comes over allot but I don't think I've ever seen his parents come to pick him up?" Vixen asked softly before smiling and nuzzling Valefar lovingly before kissing him lightly on the neck.

Nero nodded. "If you'd like, you can come see me get my piercing." he offered but knew she'd rather not see. Looking over at her other friends he smiled and nodded. "Okay, but you all have to run because I'm it!" he said and grinned as he started chasing them.

"I agree love, but maybe he lives close by so his parents don't need to pick him up?" he suggested before looking at Vixen and kissing her cheek. "We can always ask to meet his parents if you'd like." he commented as he held her close to him and watched Mela and Nero play with the other kids.

"No thank you." Mela smiled before she started to laugh and run away quickly.

"I think I might feel more comfortan'e if we at least knew who his parents were." Vixen said softly before smiling and looking back at the house slightly. "How far along were they on the cake when you came out?" she asked softly before lightly stroking his tail teasingly.

Nero laughed and began running after the kids who were laughing as they ran away from him.

Valefar watched and smirked. Listening to Vixen he blinked. "They were just finishing up actually, I think they'll be bringing it out in a few." he answered and felt her stroking his tail teasingly. "Love..." he started and looked over at her before kissing her softly. "Why must you tease me like that?" he asked and smirked.

"Because you tease me all the time. Like the times we'll be sitting in meetings with your parents and council members and you sneak your tail up and around my thighs." Vixen smirked quietly before kissing his cheek lightly and leaving his tail alone.

Mela stayed quiet but couldn't help but giggle sometimes as she heard some of her friends squealing as they were caught.

"Oh well...that isn't teasing love. I do that because I love you." Valefar explained and nuzzled her cheek. "I'll stop though I promise." he added and smirked, knowing she wouldn't want him to probably.

Nero then ran after Mela and caught her. "Ha, there you are Mela!" he teased and laughed happily as he hesitantly let her go and grinned. Just then a maid came outside and looked at everyone. "The cake is ready so please come inside for a slice." she said with a soft smile.

"Yeah sure. So long as you don't do it while others are around you know I don't mind." Vixen smirked before kissing him again softly before standing as she heard the maid and then saw Mela smile and grab Nero's hand and went with him inside quickly and bounced happily as she waited to be able to blow out the candles.

"Nope...I just won't do it anymore." he said and smirked before looking over at the maid. He chuckled when he saw Mela run inside with Nero and shook his head, "Kids.." he muttered and began to walk inside with Vixen. Nero blinked and smiled before running with Mela inside the castle. The maid led everyone over to the dining room where The lovely cake was set up with the candles lit.

"Now you're just being mean." Vixen smirked lightly before kissing his cheek then walking into the castle and laughing lightly at the kids.

Mela bounced happily as she waited for everyone to be in the room before she would blow out the candles... and for whatever reason they always liked to sing happy birthday anyway before she blew out the candles.

Valefar smirked and shrugged. "Yeah I guess I am mean." he teased as he walked over to the dining room, chuckling at how happy the kids all seemed to be. It was very obvious that they all wanted cake.

Nero smiled as he saw the look on Mela's face and soon everyone in there began to sing happy birthday to her. He didn't know why they did it...but they did, every birthday always seemed to need this song to be sung to the birthday boy or girl. It was some sort of tradition he guessed.

Mela blushed lightly but just smiled before thinking some and bowing out the candles as the song came to an end. She then looked around some wondering a bit where Cresil, Usha, Vivian and the others were since she didn't see them right away.

"Where's my little granddaughter!" sang Usha's voice as she barged in through the front door, with Cresil following close behind, holding all sorts of gifts for Mela. Valefar blinked and looked over at his parents and all the gifts they had bought Mela, yes Mela was clearly spoiled indeed. "Love where's Vivian?" he asked and looked at Vixen curiously.

"I think she went to get Nixy... her eye has been bothering her recently." Vixen said softly after smiling at the two and couldn't believe how much had changed. "Grandma! Pappo(Pa-pah)!" Mela smiled and ran over to the two waiting for them to put the stuff down so she could hug them both. It was very clear that she loved everyone in her family and it seemed most of the time she didn't even care if she got anything, she just wanted to be around people she loved and loved her.

"Nixy's eye has been bothering her?" asked Valefar. "Has it gotten better or worse?" he asked honestly. Usha smiled and set the gifts down as did Cresil before they both hugged her and smiled. "Hello sweetheart! We got you a few gift, happy birthday sweetheart!" she said and kissed her forehead. Cresil grinned and kissed the top of Mela's head. The gifts were various toys, clothes, dresses, jewelry, shoes, perfumes, books, among other things.
