Only read the first arc so far, but this series is utterly fantastic. Set in a world where the FDA has been made the most powerful law enforcement agency on the planet following a devastating bird flu epidemic and the banning of poultry products. Tony Chu is cibopathic, meaning he can see the life of whatever he eats. So, if he eats an apple he sees the orchard it grew in, what pesticides were used in it, and the like. While if he eats a hamburger he... Gets flashes of something quite different.
...As the latter part of that kind of implies, it is a bit on the grisly side, but it's wonderfully written, brilliantly illustrated, and it's tongue is sufficiently in it's cheek that the tone comes across as darkly comedic rather than grim and disgusting.
