"I have work and school too," Vanessa pointed out. She raised one eyebrow slightly. "Which one of us is carrying the baby again?"

'I wasn't saying you shouldn't plan around yours, just that we have to plan around mine if you expect me to be there,' Talon said. 'You might be carrying it, but if there are going to be two people raising this baby, one person can't be making the decisions all by themselves.'

"Then do what you need to do," Vanessa said. "I'm not forcing you to do anything, but if you want to be there for the child, then arrange what you need to. I'll do what I can to do the same."

Talon nodded, and thought for a bit. 'It's March now...I'll be done school in a month. I still only work part time during the summer, though, so I'll be fine on weekends and Mondays, and Wednesday afternoons.'

"I'm out in May," Vanessa said, "but I still have another year. I work part-time, but it's all on the weekends, so my weekdays will be free." And it would be easy to keep it that way, if she needed to. "It's in the evening, though. I'm the weekend-night shift, so it's usually from maybe two in the afternoon to nine at night, with an extra hour after to clean and close."

Talon nodded. 'Scheduling doctors apointments shouldn't be too hard, then,' he said. He sipped his coffee, then said, 'What else do we have to sort out?'

"I'm not sure..." Vanessa said, thinking. "My doctor told me there are all sorts of vitamins and things I need, and then we need to see about actual things for the baby, and classes were suggested..." She trailed off. "It's all a little jumbled, I think I was still in shock at the time."

'Everyone's got a different point of view, so I'm not sure how useful classes would be,' Talon said, shrugging. 'Mum said she learned more from a psychology textbook than she did from three classes.'

"But more practical things, like how to actually take care of a baby, classes like that," Vanessa pointed out. "Those could be helpful."

'Your mom could probably show you that,' Talon said, with a small grin. 'I'd rather not spend money on a class when you can learn how to burp and change babies from parents. We'll need the money for things the baby'll need.'

"Probably," Vanessa mused. "Once she gets over the shock..." She sighed. "School is about to start up again, anyways, I'm not going to have time for extra classes." After all, eleven weeks after the end of exams meant that classes were around three weeks from starting up again, unless she took the year off.

Talon nodded. 'Maybe you could go back part time? It'd be better than nothing.'

"My insurance coverage gets more expensive if I'm not a full-time student or working full-time," Vanessa pointed out. "I'd love to take the year off to have the baby, but it's best if I stay in school."
