Jack didn't react as Ianto bolted upright, giving teh other time to orient himself again before he sat up himself.

"It's about..." he glanced down at his wrist strap. "Five in the morning so still qutie early." He leaned back against the wall, tilting his head at Ianto, silently asking if he wanted to talk about it. He doubted but the offer was there if the other wanted to take it.

Ianto ignored Jack's offer. No, he didn't want to talk about it. Mentally groaning, he laid back down on the bed. He knew that Jack had most likely locked the door to the bunker so that he couldn't leave, so he was stuck in here until the captain decided he could leave. Which just annoyed him.

Jack sighed before lying badk down. They'd stay down ehre for about another hour or so til it was six O'clock and then he'd let Ianto have the run of the hub again. He knew he probably wasn't earning himself any brownie points but it had to be done and he didn't care of the other approved or not.
"Just rest a little longer," he suggested gently. "Even if you don't like it now you'll thank me for it later."

Ianto turned away from Jack. Just because he was stuck down here didn't mean he had to talk to the captain. And he wasn't going to. He just wanted for the time to come where he could get out of here and have even just a few minutes to himself. He really wasn't happy about being forced to spend time with someone he hated at the moment.

Jack allowed Ianto to turn away and let him stew. He was still waking up so he would just let the other sulk like an overgrown child while he rested. He closed his eyse again and evened out his breathing. He wasn't really asleep, not yet anyway, but it was a pleasant state to be in. His body was completely relaxed and so was his mind but hsi senses were still allert so if Ianto did move he would be able to react in an instant.

Things seemed to carry on like that for the next ew weeks. Ianto refused to eat or sleep unless he was forced or coerced by the other team members and Jack was seriously beginning to lose his patience with the Welshman. At least now that some time had passed he felt more comfortable confronting the other about it. He realised now that it might have been too soon for Ianto to talk about Lisa but that didn't mean he didn't want to stop the other from indulging in destructive behaviour. If the team hadn't interfered who knows what would have happened. Ianto hardly ever seemed to eat and he could've made himself seriously ill if he'd been left to his own devices. Missions had come and gone, nothing major, and Ianto had stayed in the hub but Jack thought it was about time to let the other man out. He was glad taht Ianto had held up so long but there was only so long you could stay down here before it got to you. He'd take Ianto above ground and let him have some fresh air today, maybe go to a local cafe or something just so he could stretch his legs and interact with other people besides the team.

The more time that passed with him stuck in the Hub, the more annoyed Ianto got at Jack. But, he refused to let it get to him. Instead, he focused on his work. Sure, sometimes he forgot to eat or sleep, but he was fine. Each day, he would take time to stop and think about all the good times he had with Lisa. And it really helped for him to grieve. Soon enough, he was able to move past her death. He knew she wouldn't have wanted him to sulk forever. Of course, it would help more if he was allowed to leave the Hub before it drove him insane.

"Hey, Ianto!" Jack called, bounding down the stairs from his office to intercept the young welshman. "Can I talk to you in my office for a minute?" He was grinning from ear to ear at Ianto and he knew it but he couldn't keep the grin off his face. He hoped Ianto would enjoy the chance to go out. He was bound to be getting closterphobic right about now and some fresh air would do him a world of good.

Ianto looked at Jack when he heard the captain speak. He was a bit wary of the look on the man's face. "Of course, sir." He told him. He turned and went up to Jack's office, standing next to the desk. He was a bit curious about what Jack wanted.

Jack made his way back up to the office with Ianto following behind. As the welshman took his almost customary place beside the desk Jack seated himself behind it. He interlaced his fingers and looked at Ianto with a wide grin on his face.

"How would you feel about getting out of here for the afternoon?" he asked, his voice light and cheerful as he looked at the welshman.

Ianto was shocked by what Jack said. And he was sure it showed on his face. But he managed to smooth his features. It was best not to give away his emotions.

"I would like that." He told him, after figuring out if it was a trick or not. He reallyy hoped not. He was tired of being in the Hub.

"Great!" Jack grinned. "I figured you'd be getting a little stir crazy right about now so I figured I'd take you above ground for a while. It'll only be a few hours right enough but it'll give you a chance to see the sky in person rather than on a moniter." He was glad that Ianto seemed to want to go out. That was definitely a good sign.

"We'll go t a nearby cafe and then, if you want to, we can look around some shops and stock up on some supplies for the hub. Although if you don't want to work I'm sure we can find something ot occupy our time..." he smirked at Ianto and raised an eyebrow suggestively. He was more easy around the other now, almost back to how he'd acted before the Lisa incident. He loved flirting with teh Welshman and didn't hesitate now to let the other know it.

"That sounds good to me." Ianto said. He couldn't wait to get out of here. Even if it is only for a few hours. He wanted to be able to feel the wind and sun on his face again.

He turned red when he realized Jack was flirting with him. His eyes dropped to the ground for a moment then back to the captain. "Going to the shops is just fine." he told him.

Jack pretended to pout for a moment before he stood up and grabbed his greatcoat.
"Alright then," he said cheerfully. "We're off then. We'll be about..." he did a quick mental calculation. "...two hours I'd say, maybe a little longer. Barring any incidents things should go smoothly." Things had been pretty quiet for the last few weeks but Jack didn't think taht would last very long. They'd just have to enjoy it while they could. He was a little dissappointed that IANTO WASN'T FLIRTING BACK LIKE HE USED TO, NOT CLAIMING HARRASSMENT, BUT THEY WERE STILL IN THE EARLY STAGES SO HOPEFULLY THAT WOULD COME BACK TOO, IN TIME.

Ianto smiled slightly to himself when he saw Jack pretend to pout. He had to stop himself from flirting back with Jack. It was an instant reaction, after all. But, he wanted to make Jack work for the attention. At least, for a little while.
"Sounds good to me." he told him. He led the way out of the office and out of the Hub, grabbing his coat along the way.

As they passed the others Jack called to them taht they'd be out for a bit. There were surprised looks from the other team members but then Tosh smiled and Owen shrugged, accepting whatever was going on. Tosh seemed that taht Ianto was being let out of the hub and Owen didn't really care so taht was good. Gwen was looking at the suspeciously though. Jack chose to ignore her and continued on his way out of the hub with Ianto. He headed towards his SUV and gestured for ianto to get into the passenger's seat. He unlocked it and jumped in, starting the car as he did so. He was excited about it and it was making him giddy. He felt a little ridiculous but he was glad that he was finally comfortable taking Inanto out of teh hub and wasn't afraid to show it.

As Ianto walked pass, he smiled at Tosh when he saw her smiling. He wished she would smile more. She looked so much more beautiful that way. Though he wasn't happy about they way Gwen was looking at them. What did she think he was going to do? Kill Jack? If he wanted to do that he would have already. So, he just ignored her. He followed the captain over to the SUV and got in the passenger's side, immediately buckling up. It may have been a while, but he wasn't stupid enough not to buckle when Jack was driving. That man drove like a maniac.

Almost as soon as Ianto's buckle clicked into the holder Jack took off, his foot pressing hard on the gas as the car screeched to life, tearing out of the car park at a speed that would have scared most of the normal population but gave Jack an adrenaline rush. It felt great to be speeding through the streets of Cardiff and what made it even bette was that Ianto was with him. He was careful to tone his driving down a little compared to what he liked to do when he was driving alone but they were still going way above the speed limit but the police had learned by now that this particular SUV would not be stopped by anything and trying to pull it over was just a waste of time. Well that and any officers that did succeed were traumatized for days after because Jack wouldn't stop flirting with them and he made sure that his comments were as lewd as possible. Needless to say he was not very populat among the uniformed officers, especially the males.

He too the long route to the cafe he intended to take Ianto to and within about five minutes they were there (whereas normally it wouldhave taken fifteen, possibly twenty) and turned the engine off, easily sliding the keys into one of the pockets of his jacket. "Yuo alright, Ianto?" he asked, turning to look at the Welshman.

Ianto tightened his grip on the door handle wheen Jack took off. And he kept his grip tight the entire ride. He had forgotten how terrifying it was to ride with the captain. Which left him relieved when they stopped. He let go of the door and unbuckled before getting out. He turned to the captain.

"I'm fine, sir. But next time, I'm driving." He told him. And he wasn't going to take no for an answer. He would like to be able to get back to the Hub in one piece.

"Aww, come on!" Jack protested, grinning as he locked the car adn began to walk towards the cafe. "I wasn't that bad! I even slowed down a couple times just for you!" He sent a wink in Ianto's direction beore nudging the other towards the cafe door. He all but leapt in front and opened the doro for Ianto with a flourish, giving a quick bow before allowing the other to pass through the door. A few customers gave him strange looks but he ignored them for the moment. Ianto was his prime concern.

Ianto moved towards the door, but stopped there. He looked at Jack for a moment. "Who said I need you to slow down?" He asked,, giving the captain a look before continuing through the door. He went and got in line, thinking about what he wanted to drink.

Jack stared after Ianto, pouting slightly before his gaze wondered down a bit further and he smirked. He followed Ianto and soon they were sitting at a table. Jack glanced casually at the menu, skimming it but already knowing what he was having.
"See anything you like?" Jack asked, glancing at Ianto. "Torchwood's paying." he smirked at that. Well if he couldn't abuse the Torchwood funds what fun was it being in charge? Besides there was more than enough money to use a little now and then for less than official reasons.
