"I see plenty I like." Ianto stated, looking at the menu. "But, I'll settle for some coffee." He gave Jack a small smirk.
He told the waitress his order and she wrote it down before writing it down. "And what would you like sir?" She asked him, prepared to write.

Jack debated for a moment before ordering a sandwhich and a cup of coffee for himself. "Oh, and while you're at it bring him out a sandwhich too," Jack said, looking at the waitress and giving Ianto a slight dissapproving look. The whole point of this was to get Ianto out of the hub and get him to eat something. Well that wasn't the entire point but it was definitely high up there and even if he only ate a few bites Ianto would eat something if Jack had to feed it to him himself.

The waitress nodded and wrote it down before leaving.
Ianto dropped his gaze when he saw that Jack was disappointed with him but then he looked back up, suddenly annoyed.
"I'm not very hungry." He told him.

"You're never hungry," Jack replied. "But that doesn't mean your body doesn't need fuel. What would happen if you stopped putting fuel into a car?" It was a fair point and they both knew it. The question was would Ianto accept it. Jack sighed before continuing. "I'm just worried that you're getting too thin. You don't have to eat all of it anyway but you've gotta eat something." It was true that the other had been a lot better recently but Jack didn't want him to go back to how he'd been the first few weeks, barely eating or drinking and refusing to rest.

Ianto sighed quietly. "I know I need to eat. But its hard to do when my stomach says its full." He told him. The waitress brought over their order and he gave her a small smile, making her smile as well before she walked off. He picked up his cup and took a sip. It wasn't to bad. But it wasn't the best he's ever had. That goes to his own coffee.

Jack winked at the waitress before she left but didn't really pay much attention to her reaction, his focus completely shifted to teh Welshman. "Just eat as much as you can," Jack said gently. "You might feel hungry later anyway. Some excercise above ground will do wonders for your apitite. Fresh air does that, you know." Oh sure Cardiff air wasn't the freshest but compared to the air from the hub it was like being in the heart of the countryside as far as Jack was concerned. It felt amazing to have the windo on your face after weeks of being cooped up underground. He maybe shouldn't have left it this long to take the Welshman above ground but he had to make sure that Ianto was alright before he even considdered the possibility.

Ianto nodded in agreement. He would try to eat. But he wasn't sure how much he would be able to eat.
He ate slowly, sipping his coffee after each bite. He managed to eat over half of the sandwich before pushing the plate away. He felt any more, he felt he would get sick. And he didn't want that.

Jack released a small breath when Ianto began to actually eat the sandwhich. It wasn't much but it was enough. He was glad that the other managed so much and happily cleared his own plate. He resisted grimacing at the coffee. He was so used to Ianto's perfection that anything else seemed...incomplete. Oh well. It was worth it to get the other above ground.
"How're ya feeling?" e asked. "Think you're up for a supply run?" They wouldn't be getting much, coffee supplies (of course), some more basic weapons (guns and amo along with some holsters) and some other basic office supplies that they needed. Tosh had written up a list which he had somewhere in one of his pockets but he hadn't actually looked at the thing. Ianto would be better at that side of things than he was. He was just coming on this run because he wanted some time alone out of the hub with his favourite Welshman.

"I'm fine, sir. And of course I would like to go on a supply run. Its part of my job anyway." Ianto told him. His mind was already running through the things they would need. He knew that it might take a few hours to get everything that was needed. But he didn't mind. It let him get out of the Hub, after all.
The waitress came back over to them. "Is there anything else I could get you gentlemen?" She asked.

"No thanks," Jack replied, winking at her. "Just the bill and when we'll be gone."
He turned back to Ianto, debating what they should get first. He smiled to himself as a plan came to mind. They would get al the boring things first and then they would go and get the weapons. While they were there he'd give Ianto a proper lesson about how to handle the weapons. He hadn't had a chance to do that yet but it was about time he taught the other how to handle a firearm properly before someone got hurt. He doubted tat Torchwood One had taken the time to train ianto properly in the use of a gun since he was just an archievist there but here, because there were so few membesr, Ianto would need to learn how to handle himself properly in teh field.

The waitress nodded and set the bill on the table. She told them to pay at the register before walking off.
Ianto nodded and got out his wallet. He didn't care if Jack had said this was going on Torchwood's expense. He couldn't let the captain spend the institute's money on coffee like this. That money was better spent elsewhere.
He went over to the register and payed for the both of them before Jack got the chance to complain. He turned to him. "Let's go." He told him before leaving the cafe.

Jack glared at Ianto's back as the other paid. wWell if Ianto insisted then Jack would simply insist on returning the money to him at a later date, preferrably slipping some money into the other's back pocket. He smirked to himself at teh thought before standing up and gesturig for Ianto to follow him.
"Come on then," he said. "Those supplies won't gather themselves."

"Of course, sir." Ianto said. He could feel Jack glaring at him when he paid. But he didn't really understand what the big deal was. He had plenty of money seeing as how he hadn't needed to buy anything the past couple weeks. So, Jack's behavior didn't make sense.
He followed the captain out. "So. Where to first?" he asked.

"The basics for the hub are first and after that some tech equipment," Jack replied, unlocking the car and jumping into thedriver's seat before Ianto had a chance to protest. "After that it's time to get some weapons and I'll be giving you a proper lesson on handling a gun."

Ianto stopped outside the SUV. He already said he wasn't going to let Jack drive again today. So there was no way he was going to get in the car.
"Alright. That sounds good. But, I think I'll walk. Its a nice day after all."

"Oh come on!" Jack pouted, looking at Ianto. "My driving isn't that bad! You can drive after we get the basic supplies, promise!" He stared intently at Ianto, his face emploring teh Welshman to go with him. He pulled out all the stops, giving Ianto teh best pleading look he could muster. "Come on Yan," he pleaded. "It'll only take about five minutes, pick up the supplies then it's your turn. Promise."

Ianto thought about it. He didn't want to give in to Jack's pleading. He knew that if he gave in now, he would have to give in again in the future. But then again, he really wasn't in the mood to walk all day. Sighing, he nodded. "Fine. Just this one last time." he said, getting in the passenger's side and buckling up.

Jack gave a mental whoop but didn't let it show. on the outside he was quietly happy while on the inside he was practially jumping for joy. Ianto had agreed! It was definitely a step in the right direction as far as he was concerned.
"Let's go then," he grinned and eased out of the car park. he was careful not to be as bad as he normally would be behind the wheel but not enough so that it was obvious to Ianto that he was taking it easy. Well that and he liked being in the Welshman's company and wanted to prolong the experience as long as possible without the other team members hovering near by, listening in on what they were saing and betting on how long it'd take them to get together. He was no fool. he knew that Tosh and Owen had a bet going although he didn't know who had bet on which time period. Really those two needed to wise up and get a clue about the other.
Soon they'd reached the basic supply pick up point and it didn't take long fo rJack to load what they needed into teh back. He paused for a moment, debating before tossing Ianto the keys.
"Here," he said, grinning. "I said I'd let you drive, didn't I? Now let's head tot eh range to pick up some new weapons and give you a decent lesson on how to handle a gun."

Ianto was relieved when Jack didn't drive as fast as he normally did. That didn't mean he was going to let the captain drive again today. He preferred if he did the driving himself. Like he normally did when he went to get supplies for the Hub. But then again, he also normally did that alone. He knew he couldn't force Jack to let him do it himself though.
He helped Jack load the supplies, getting it done faster. He caught the keys when Jack through them to him, smiling slightly to himself. He was glad the captain was keeping his promise.
"Alright, sir. But, I already know how to handle a gun." he told him, getting in the driver's side.

"Not properly," Jack replied mildly. "The instructors at Torchwood One were some of the worst I've ever seen. They expected you to be a natural and if you werne't they then gave up on you. Even if you did show skill then they never trained you right. Can you get the stance right? Is your grip the same every time? What's your ratio of hits to misses? How far off your target are you when you fire?" He climbed into the passengers seat and buckled himself in, waiting for Ianto to start the car so that they could go to the shooting range. "At least I know if I take you for one lesson that you can shoot. i can see how you do it and if you're good enough we'll leave it at taht but if you're not then I'll give you a few extra lessons to get you up to the same level as the rest of the team, sound fair?" If Ianto was as good as he thought he was then he wouldn't need the lessons but Jack coubted that that was the case. The trainers at Torchwood One had been some of the worst as he'd told Ianto so he doubted they'd taught him how to handle a weapon properly.

Ianto drove to the shooting range, thinking about what Jack said. He was right about the instructors at Torchwood One. they were not very good. He only got one lesson from them. But, he didn't care. He hadn't needed to use a weapon for his job. Nor would he need one for his job now. But, he couldn't think of a way to get Jack to change his mind about the lessons.
"Sounds fair.." he agreed as he pulled into the shooting range. He parked the car and got out before leading the way into the building.

The first thing taht Jack did was do a quick scout of the weapons available before selecting one that he thought would be suited to Ianto. it was a relatively small thing, easily hidden under a jacket, and it would fit nicely in the other's hands at a quick look. He handed teh gun carefully to Ianto before gesturing for the other to approach the firing range.
"Show me your technique," Jack instructed. "We can go from there."

Ianto watched as Jack examined the weapons. Personally, he didn't see much difference between them. They were all basically the same, after all. The only difference was size and range. At least, that's as far as he could tell. He took the gun the captain handed to him and examined it.
"Alright, sir." He said. He got in position and fired off a few rounds.

Jack barely held back a wince as he watched Ianto move into a stance and fire the gun. Everything about the other's movement was wrong, the placement of his feet, the way he held his body, the way hsi arm was angled...
"Don't move for a minute," Jack comanded. He stepped up behidn ianto and pressed himself to the Welshman's back. Before Ianto could act he grabbed the other's arms and gently but firmly began to shift them, adjusting Ianto's body into a more comfortable stance. "Feel what I'm doing," Jack comanded. "Try and feel the way I've positioned myself and try and copy it. Hold your wrist a little higher, not so tense or you'll get whiplash if there's any backlash from the shot. Then move your feet, like how I'm standing and then relax your right shoulder a bit."
He knew that the other might be a bit uncomfortable with this way of training but it was how he'd learned and it was how he trained all the people he taught. Ianto would just have to deal because it was one of the best ways to get the desired results within a short time period.

Ianto froze when he heard Jack say not to move, having been about to drop his arm. He instantly tensed when he felt the captain behind him and his face turned red at how close the other man was to him.
He listened to what he was being told, and managed to do all of it except relax. How could he possibly relax when Jack was that close to him! It took a while, but he did manage to relax to a point that it would be acceptable.
"Like this, sir?" He asked, turning his head slightly so he could look at Jack.
