Yeah, getting there. Elea looked at her for a few moments before she flicked her tail. Feel up to a game of tag?

Lotus grinned and leaned forward to nudge her friend before flipping over and taking off, initiating the game.

Elea took off after her, enjoying the chase. It took her a minute to catch up to Lotus, and then she bumped her friend with her head before darting off.

Lotus laughed and turned around to chase after her friend. It took a bit of creative chasing to catch her again, but she did and then took off in the other direction.

Elea swam after her, having a great time trying to catch up to her again.

She did freeze when she noticed something else lage swimming in the water. Lotus? There's something else here, and I don't think it's the dragons.

Lotus froze as well, and cautiously made her way back over to her friend.

"What do you see?" she asked softly.

I'm not sure. It looked too large to be a dolphin, and it's not the right shape for a mermaid or one of the dragons. Elea flicked her tail nervously. Even to her sharks were still a potential problem.

"We can head back inside for a while," Lotus offered. She was wary of sharks, as well.

That might be best for now. I'd rather not get eaten tonight. Elea looked around warily before she turned and headed back for the house.

Lotus nodded and followed, glancing around occasionally to make sure they weren't being hunted.

Elea made it inside first, climbing up out of the well and into the house, grabbing towels for herself and for Lotus. She wasn't sure what had been out there, but she wasn't willing to investigate. Not that night, anyway.

Lotus climbed out right behind her and accepted the towel fro Elea.

"Feel a little better?" she asked. "Well, before the whole shark-threat thing?"

Elea nodded. "Yeah. I do feel better." She smiled a little. "Thanks. That was a good idea."

Lotus grinned.

"I have good ideas occasionally," she joked.

Elea snickered. "Yeah, occasionally," she agreed with a grin. "Come on, let's go find something else to do for a while."

Lotus nodded.

"Want to help me with that shirt?" she asked. "I need to figure out where to place the scales on it, since I'm not going to completely cover the thing." She made a face. "I don't need my chest to look like my butt that way."

"Sure." Elea smiled. "Sure you don't want to like bedazzle yourself or something? It would be fun." She grinned teasingly.

Lotus snorted.

"I spend half the summer bedazzled, and rhinestones glued to my tailfin itch," she replied. She grinned. "But I'll totally save some shed scales and reuse them for Halloween."

Elea giggled. "Sounds like a good plan. I don't have scales, so I can't quite do that."

"I can loan you some," Lotus offered. "Although indigo probably isn't your best color." She grinned teasingly. "Maybe you can ask your dragon for some of his."

Elea blushed and muttered under her breath as she went to go stow away her skin again.

Lotus grinned and went to go put on some dry clothes. When she came back out, she was carrying her mostly-finished lilac silk shirt and a small tupperware container of indigo scales.

"Alright. So what exactly did you have in mind here?" Elea scooted forward in her chair to get a better look.

"I kind of want it to suggest the idea of more scales without the silk being completely covered," Lotus replied. She grinned a bit. "I'm not going to pull out enough of my scales to cover the whole thing."

Elea snickered and shook her head. "Alright. Well maybe you could do something like have the bottom hem be completely covered in scales, have the top have only a few random scales, and then slowly cover more as you go down? That could be neat."
