Tamara nodded.

"That's what we think, too," she said.

"May I see the list?" Nik asked. Because if he had an idea who they were looking for he could start researching again and Cal could start hunting.

Tamara paused for a moment, and then nodded, handing it to him.

"There's a wizard staying at the motel downtown," she said. "He's the one we've been talking to."

"A wizard?" Niko blinked at that. Odder and odder things all the time. He took the list, memorizing it before handing it back. "Well, this will be interesting."

Tamara shrugged.

"We've reached the point where we just roll with it," she said.

Niko nodded. "Alright. I appreciate the update." Of course, he planned on doing some research himself now too.

"Something needs to be done," Tamara said after a moment. "And it needs to be done soon. The sickness is going to spread, and what happens if it gets further than the city limits?"

Niko hummed thoughtfully, glancing back at Cal once. "We need to find the thing responsible first," he said quietly. "Which may not be so easy."

Tamara raised an eyebrow.

"This is Pittsburgh," she said. "It's not like it's a really big city. There are only so many places to hide, and I'm fairly sure between all of us, we can cover the city pretty quick."

Niko raised his eyebrows at her, just a little. "What if it's not in the city?" he pointed out. "What if it's under the city or in the woods instead?" Because usually some measure of research could tell you these things.

"Under the city is still within city limits," Tamara pointed out. "Although the woods would be a problem." Somehow, though, she didn't think whatever it was was in the woods. Those were a little far to be able to affect the city so thoroughly.

Niko nodded. "Give me tonight to do more research," he said. "Tomorrow we can start looking."

Tamara nodded.

"Alright," she said, "we can do that."

Niko nodded. "We'll wait until we hear from you tomorrow," he said. He knew Cal wouldn't object; that meant he didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn like Nik did.

"If you find anything before then, don't hesitate to find us," Tamara said. "One of my sisters will help you if I can't."

Niko nodded. "Otherwise, we will see you in the morning."

Tamara nodded. She glanced at Christine.

"Ready?" she asked.

Christine nodded and headed for the door.

"Well, things are getting more and more interesting," she murmured once they were outside again.

"No kidding," Tamara replied. She sighed. "Ugh, it's exhausting keeping everyone's attention just on me like that. I just hope they were paying so much attention to me that they didn't give much thought to Kali or Bahiti."

"Well, the one wasn't being bad," Christine pointed out. "The one you said you suspected knew. He wasn't acting weird or anything."

"I still think he suspects," Tamara admitted. "Hopefully he doesn't think too much about it for a while."

Christine nodded. "Hey, at least we finally know what I am, I guess." It was still an odd thought.

"Which is good," Tamara agreed, nodding. She grinned a bit. "You may want to pay closer attention to the things you keep hearing, now. It may be helpful."

"No kidding. I'll listen in whenever I hear something." Christine grinned briefly. "Angel Radio."

Tamara couldn't help but snicker a bit.

"Seriously," she said. She looked at her friend. "So... are you really okay with it?"
