"Singular. I just mentioned a girl was staying with me. No names or anything, so you three can decide who will be out." Harry looked at her. He figured he'd done pretty well to be vague.

Tamara was quiet for a moment, conferring with her sisters.

"Me," she said finally.

Harry nodded. "Just make sure you're the one that's out whenever he's over, which probably won't be very often. And, crap, you don't need me to tell you all this."

Tamara grinned.

"No, go on," she said teasingly, "it's always nice to hear someone else know what they're talking about when it comes to us."

Harry just rolled his eyes and grinned.

"He'll be here in fifteen minutes, probably. He probably won't know what you are, and I'm not going to mention anything."

"Thanks," Tamara said. "Really. We appreciate it."

"No problem." Harry smiled a bit. "It'll be worth it to see his face when he walks in and there's a pretty girl in my apartment." He grinned.

Tamara grinned, although she couldn't help but blush just lightly. She wasn't as used to compliments as, say, Bahiti was.

Harry got up when Mouse lifted his head and went to go see who it was. Thomas, as expected. He opened the door after Thomas knocked to let him in.

"You even remembered food." Harry grinned and let him in.

"Of course I did," Thomas replied. "What do you take me for?" He stepped into the apartment and glanced around. "So where is your lovely houseguest?"

That was practically the perfect cue, so Tamara came out of the kitchen.

"You must be Harry's brother," she said. "My name is Tamara."

"This is my idiot brother Thomas," Harry said with a grin as he took the food to the table. "Told you I had a house guest."

Tamara just smiled at the bit of banter. It was just like with her sisters.

"I don't have any brothers," she said, "but I like to think that I know good siblings when I see them."

Harry grinned and shook his head, waving her over to the kitchen to eat. Thomas settled in as well, eyeing Harry and Tamara speculatively.

Tamara noticed the look and raised an eyebrow.

"Pondering something?" she asked.

"Well, you're a pretty girl, and you are staying with my brother..." Thomas trailed off suggestively, waggling his eyebrows a bit.

Harry just facepalmed.

Tamara rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, we're not like that," she said. "Sorry to disappoint."

Thomas sighed theatrically. "My poor brother," he said with a grin.

"Shut up, Thomas," Harry said, shoving him good-naturedly. Mostly.

Tamara just grinned, watching them. She almost opened her mouth to say she was like that with her sisters, but thought better of it at the last minute. That would just be too much explaining as to why her sisters weren't there as well.

"I'm flattered you think I look that nice, but really, Harry's not really my type," she said. She ignored Bahiti's murmured 'I would do him' in the back of her head.

Thomas just shook his head. "Too book-wormy for you?" he teased, grinning.

"Too explodey," Harry muttered back.

Tamara smothered a snort. That was exactly why Bahiti liked him.

"No kidding," she said. She grinned. "I like bookworm guys, don't get me wrong. I just prefer a more... sophisticated sort of lifestyle."

"Sophistocated, huh?" Thomas eyed her again.

"Down, boy," Harry said with a snort, whapping the back of his head.

"Now one of my sisters, on the other hand," Tamara said, grinning wickedly, "she likes the rough-and-tumble type."

"And explosions," Harry said dryly.

"So where is this other sister and why is she not here dramatically improving Harry's life?" Thomas raised his eyebrows.

Tamara just raised an eyebrow in return.

"You don't live with your brother, do you?" she asked, glancing at the apartment and back.

"No, but I do live in the same city." Thomas shrugged. "You can pester her to come visit later."
