"Perhaps," Tamara said evasively. Kali and Bahiti had gone silent again, so as not to distract her.

Thomas shook his head and finished up his meal, relaxing for the moment. It was good to have Harry back in the city.

Tamara was quiet for a moment, just studying the two. They didn't look that much alike, really; there were enough similarities that she could tell they were brothers, but they looked about as different from one another as Bahiti and Kali did.

Thomas noticed her scrutiny and raised an eyebrow at her. "See something you like?" The flirting was practically habitual by now.

"Just thinking that you're entirely too pretty to be real," Tamara replied smartly. "It's kind of not fair."

Thomas laughed at that, though he was doing a bit of mental scrambling. Whoops, maybe she was in the know?

Tamara noticed a slight hesitation in his laugh.

"Did I say something wrong?" she asked cautiously. She glanced at Harry.

"Of course not," Thomas said, waving her comment off. "I don't get that kind of comment often. Well, not that specifically. Mostly it's things like "why can't my boyfriend/husband look like you?" and things like that." He grinned. "I very rarely get people questioning if I'm real, though."

Tamara looked at him for a moment.

"'Real' may not have been the best word," she said finally. She sighed. "I can't believe I'm about to say this..." She shook her head and looked at Thomas again. "'Human' might be a better one."

Thomas was silent for a moment. "Ah."

Harry grinned. "Yeah, Thomas, she knows. I gave her a business card."

"You could have mentioned that sooner," Thomas grumped.

"It's a little obvious, too," Tamara defended. "A little. And... I kind of have a little experience telling humans from others. Comes with the territory and all."

"Oh?" Thomas perked up a bit at that. "And what 'territory' would that be?"

Tamara hesitated, and then sighed.

"You remember I said I have a sister, right?" she asked. She could feel both Kali's and Bahiti's resignation, although neither really protested.

"Yes." Thomas raised an eyebrow at her, clearly waiting for the explanation.

"I actually have two sisters," Tamara said. She spent a second trying to decide on the best way to explain a Tryad before just shrugging and switching places with Bahiti. Bahiti shook out her hair a bit and looked at Thomas.

"Holy shit!" Thomas tumbled backwards, seriously startled. "There's--what?"

Harry sighed and decided to take pity on him. "They're a Tryad. Three women who share a core and inhabit the same space, essentially." He glanced at Bahiti with a little grin.

Bahiti smirked.

"I'm Bahiti," she said to Thomas, extending a hand. "One-third of the Kali Bahiti a Tamara Tryad. I'm the middle sister."

"Bahiti." Thomas blinked before he shook her hand. "Um. Nice to meet you?"

Bahiti just grinned again.

"Try not to be so surprised this time, okay?" she said. Then she switched places with Kali. Kali blinked a bit before turning her blue-gray eyes on Thomas.

"I'm Kali," she said. She grinned. "Though I guess you probably knew that from our name. Please, don't mind Bahi, she likes screwing with people sometimes."

"I gathered as much." Thomas blinked. "She's the one that gets along best with Harry, isn't she?"

"Like you wouldn't believe," Kali confirmed, grinning a bit. "Tam wasn't kidding when she said Bahi likes the rough-and-tumble types." Her eyes sparkled a bit mischievously.

Thomas laughed as Harry turned pink. Well, well, that was interesting. He'd have to keep that in mind for later.

Kali grinned, but didn't switch places with either of her sisters for now.

"Well, I can't say I've ever had the pleasure of being in the company of a Tryad before," he said, looking at Kali.

"Well, if you have questions, ask away," Kali said, grinning a bit. "I'll try to answer."
