And now let the RP.......begin!
Deimon Kuran stared blankly at the ceiling of his room. He was lying on his bed, fully clothed and on top of the light blue covers. His expression was blank as he listened to the sounds coming from downstairs, his half siblings from his mother's second marriage making enough noise to wake the dead, if that were indeed possible. A sigh passed through slightly parted lips as he pushed himself into a sitting position, swinging his legs down so that his sock clad feet landed on the blue carpet, only a few shades darker than the covers of his bed. The rest of the room was pretty bare, a simple light wood desk, chest of drawers and bed side table, all matching teh light wood frame of his bed with light cream walls and dark blue curtains that matched the carpet. All in all not your typical teenage boy's room. Well considdering he hadn't been consulted on the matter was it really that surprising? He didn't really care either way. It provided a space to sleep, complete his school work and it was the only space in the house where he could go to get away from the mob of mouths, arms and legs that were his younger siblings. It seemed inconceivable taht they were related at times.
Pushing these thoughts from his mind he stood, stretching as he did so, his back arching like a cat. He'd been still for too long and his muscles were stiff. He frowned, glancing out the window to see that the weather was overcast but there was no sign of rain as far as he could tell. He hadn't bothered with the forecast this morning, figuring that the reader would probably get it wrong anyway and not seeing the need to waste his time wtih information that was most likely way off the mark. He reached down and grabbed the messenger back he ahd been given for his last birthday by a friend at school. It was a simple thing although well made. The fabric was a deep violet, similar to his eyes. He suspected that was the reason it had been chosen. There was a silver design on the front although it was rather generic. It made no matter though. It was convenient for any belongings he wished to carry and that was all that mattered.
He quietly slipped from the room and padded down the stairs, the thick red carpet aiding in muffling his footsteps. He passed the libing room, not bothering to look in, knowing what he would see. His four younger half siblings by his mother, three girls and one boy, huddled around the televission, arguing about what to watch. He also did not look into the kitchen, knowing that all that lay in there was an indifferent comment or two and a resentful glare from a man that he had still to exchange more than two sentences at a time during a conversation. His mother made no comment as he passed and he made no comment in return. All in all it was a good system and one that worked well for them both. The day he finally left he had the strangest feeling that a small celebration would be held by the rest of the family. He was the balck sheep, figuratively and physically. Unlike the rest of his siblings he ahd black hair. Their hair colour ranged from almost gold to light brown and theri eyes were watery blue, almost transparent at times. They were dull, plain while he was striking with his exotic features, at least that was what Kaze liked to say although he couldn't see it himself. Admitedly his eyes were strange, a violet hue that you would expect to only be found in contacts, but appart from taht he saw himself as rather average.
He slipped on his shoes as he reached the door, pulled the handle down and swiftly exited the house with no one the wiser. They lived in detatched house in a suburban part of town with a decently sized drive way and back garden with trees peaking around the side of the three story house. He was at the very top, away from the rest of them and that was how he lked it. Now he was outside and the more steps he took the further away from the rest of them he would go. He took in a deep breath of fresh air, enjoying the sense of freedom it provided before walking down to the gate, climbing over it in favour of taking the time to unlock th thing (really it was barely worth having, only coming up to about his waist. What use was that for putting off potential thieves? Either way he was no longer technically on his family's property and thus he was happy.
He decided that he would walk to the park. It was about a five minute journey on foot and he would take his time. There was nowhere specific he had to be, no urgent meetings he had to attend so what was the point in rushing? The sky remained overcast but still no rain fell. Just in case he had an umbrella in the messenger bag, one of those easy to carry fold up ones that never lasted very long but were easy to carry when you couldn't be bothered with the hassle of carrying around a large, cumbersome thing. It was quiet, hardly anyone was out at this time of day and that was the way he liked it. It was almost......tranquil. He let a small sigh past his lips as he walked, content that soon he would be able to leave this place, to strike out on his own and he would never have to see his 'family' again. That thought pulled the corners of his mouth up into a slight smile as he continued on his planned route to the park.
(Hope it's alright. I wasn't quite sure what to put but I think it turned out alright)
