Ok, so I want to do an idea inspired by a combo of yugioh and digimon in a way lol. Sounds a bit childish but hear me out, I want to give it a more modern twist. The year is 2012 naturally, but I will have it started where summer has just begun. All the main characters would have to be ages 16-18. I havn't decided if I really want to add to many supporting characters yet lol. Ok so here is the idea. Long ago in Egypt, a pharaoh was brought into power. The youngest ever to become king, he was a powerful but just king. Rumors circulated however, that the pharaoh had masterious powers asociated with the gods. The people prospered well under him, and he seemed to be able to predict events before they occured, by using a set of cards, which would appear like just ordinary cards to others. He also seemed to bring each card's meaning to life. For example, if he was to use the rain card then a great thunderstorm would appear. There was rumored to be a card for everything, and their power was only available to the pharaoh. The people thought that all was well, and that the pharaoh was unique. Unfortunately, they were right and wrong.

Others had been gifted with power that was supposidly sent by their gods. Some of them herd about the pharaoh and attacked, wanting to steal his power for their own. However most were to weak and easily taken care of. However rumors began to spread about strangers coming to the city to see the pharaoh. People who possessed powers like his, but who were stronger then the weaklings he had faced before. He looked to his cards, and dispite the good fortune they predicted from the strangers coming, he could not shake the feeling something dark was on the horison as well. He allowed the strangers to meet with him in a council. All together there were seven of them, it could be felt they were the strongest. None of them seem to be evil, but the pharaoh still cannot get rid of his feeling. He keeps checking the cards thinking something has changed. Soon enough however, his hunch becomes real. The seven begin to bicker within the city, a cold dark feeling settles into the city as well, something isnt right........... The rest of the story is lost to history, but it is rumored that something happened, and in a last attempt to stop it, the pharaoh used an ability that was always a last resort. He had one card called the mirror card. This card allowed souls to either be sealed in cards, or other objects. Something went wrong unfortunately, and the effect was amplified over the entire world.

All beings with powers gifted by the gods were sealed away, including the pharaoh and the other six, who were sealed away in seven egyptian artifacts. The land the pharaoh rulled was covered by sand, his people vanishing and the land becoming lost to the world. The pharaoh's cards scattered across the world as well, save for a few that had been with him. The mirror card was lost as well. Fast forward to modern day, the most a teen has to worry about is dancea, dates and their appearances right? Well, a few strange reports have been popping up on the news around the world, of strange sightings, or strange things occuring like people using powers from people who come out of strange objects. No one understands what is going on. When a huge discovery is made in Egypt, the ruins of a long since vanished mysterious city, artifacts are brought back, some are stolen. In some way or another, they end up falling into the hands of seven unsuspecting teens. Some good...some not so good. The teens soon discover that the artifacts are more then meets the eye, and that many people would do anything to get their hands on the power that the artifacts hold....

Lol, so that is the rough outline for now. I will be playing the pharaoh, and the teen who ends up with him, cause his role could get a bit complicated and I have things all worked out for him already. Other then that there are six teen and six artifact imprisoned people left XD? As I said before, I am not sure if I want to allow other imprisoned people, who would obviously have to be weaker then the main seven, or normal supporting characters, cause with a total of fourteen with just the seven teens and the seven main imprisoned people may be much...I want to know what people think first and if anyone is even interested. So tell me what you think. This roleplay may also have some delay in getting started, cause I wont have steady internet till the end of agust so...plenty of planning time lol. So post away!

Love the story, love the idea. My only question is, do we play the teens, and our counterparts? Or just one/the other?

As to which role you play the choice is yours. It is first come first serve. There are curently six teen and six other imprisoned people open.

You could play one or the other..or both of the same pare, or if you want to get interesting lol the teen of one pair and the imprisoned person of a different pair.

I still dont know if I will add supporting pepole yet, like parents..friends...other "handlers" as teens will be known as or other weaker "guardians" as imprisoned people will be known as...it all depends on how others take to the idea XD.

mmkay. Then I totally call one of the imprisioned. ^.^

Well mine is going to be an egyptian eye kinda thing so pretty much you can choose as long as it is reasonable.
