"Skyline," Steve answered, a little distracted as he sketched out the New York skyline from memory. He'd already made several sketches of her.

"Looks good," Elaine said as she looked at the sketch. She paused, and then pointed to one part of the skyline. "The Towers. They aren't there anymore."

"I know," Steve said quietly, glancing back at her. "You'll notice Stark Tower isn't in here. This is the skyline that I grew up with."

"Then it's perfect," Elaine said, leaning in to kiss his cheek briefly.

Steve smiled and leaned back a bit, putting a few more touches on the sketch before he put down his pencil and stretched as much as he could.

"Feel better now?" he asked, tipping his head to look at her.

"I feel fine," Elaine said, nodding and sliding from the arm of the chair into his lap. "Still lazy," she added with a bit of a grin, "but fine. Why?"

"Just making sure," Steve said quietly, wrapping his arms around her loosely. He was feeling decidedly lazy again, which was unusual for him.

"Making sure of what?" Elaine asked as she snuggled into his arms. "Steve, I'm fine, really. You didn't hurt me." She cuddled closer. "I promise."

"Okay." Steve relaxed there, resting his head against hers briefly.

"You know, we could stay an extra day, if you wanted. We don't have to be back for anything."

"And what do you plan on doing with the extra day?" Elaine asked teasingly. She laid her head on his shoulder. "We're probably pushing it just being gone for the weekend, though." She grinned. "The world could fall into peril any day now."

Steve actually groaned. "It better not," he grumbled. "I'm not ready to go save the world again yet."

Elaine cuddled closer to him.

"You have to admit it has a habit of being in danger with frightening regularity," she pointed out. "But I bet the others can handle it for one more day." She grinned. "They can call in the Fantastic Four if they have to, doesn't Doctor Richards owe Tony a favor or something? Or owe Bruce a favor? One of the two."

"Possibly both," Steve said with a little shrug. "It wouldn't surprise me. And I know Tony's been talking with the X-Men."

"Plenty of people to defend the world," Elaine said, nodding a bit. Leaning up, she gave him a kiss. "So you're right, we can probably take one more day."

Steve grinned, pleased, and kissed her again. Apparently he'd needed the time off more than he'd thought.

Elaine grinned back and returned his kisses.

Elsewhere, Bruce and Kae ended up spending the weekend together. Unintentionally, but all the same.

Kae had found a nice quiet place for them to go and relax for a few days, and she made sure Bruce was going with her.

She ended up lounging on a couch next to him, curled into his side with some movie playing quietly in the background. "Told you getting away was a good idea."

"Your definition of getting away and my definition of getting away are very different," Bruce pointed out, his arm around her as she settled in. "Though I like yours better."

"You mean because your definition of getting away means going half-way around the world and dumping everything?" Kae grinned briefly, managing to cuddle closer. "Yeah, I think I like my definition better too."

"It worked," Bruce pointed out. "I managed to go a year without an incident while I was in India, after all." He pulled her a bit closer. "But this is better, I think."

"I certainly enjoy it more." Kae smiled a little, relaxing there. "I even found us a nice place up in the mountains so you don't have to deal with city people."

"I appreciate it," Bruce replied. He cuddled her a bit. "Even better, I don't have to deal with Tony in one of his mad scientist moods."

"No, you don't." Kae grinned and leaned up a bit to kiss his cheek. "No Tony for a few days. It'll actually be quiet for once."

"Quiet sounds good," Bruce agreed. He gave her a small kiss.

Kae grinned briefly and kissed him again. Though they still hadn't outright said anything to the others, she was fairly sure everyone else knew.
