Seshat nodded her thanks and steered Elaine away. Not out of sight, of course (she knew better than to annoy a prankster that way), but she still took Elaine over to the other Egyptians.

"Brother," Thor greeted as he finally made his way over to Loki. "My apologies for taking longer than expected to join you here. I trust all is well?"

"Indeed," Loki agreed, watching Elaine be steered over to the other Egyptians. "Hmm. Perhaps this will be more interesting than I originally guessed."

"Interesting?" Thor repeated. He followed Loki's gaze and paused. "Why is she over there?" He looked at his brother.

"Apparently she is a supplicant of them," Loki said, his voice very even and very smooth. Yeah, he was not happy. "They asked to borrow her."

"She belongs to them?" Thor asked. "Curious. She and Kae are so at ease with us I suppose I assumed neither were declared." He glanced at his brother to see if he could gauge Loki's reaction.

"Indeed." Loki had assumed so too, but oh well. "This one doesn't belong to anyone else, and Elaine hadn't been officially claimed, not the way I had claimed them." Okay so he was just a little jealous.

Thor made a vague sound of agreement as he watched the interaction between Elaine and the Egyptians. The girl seemed a bit overwhelmed, but something one of the Egyptians said made her pause, shake her head, and gesture back towards Loki. "Interesting... What do you make of that, brother?"

"Perhaps asking why she's here?" Loki shrugged. "It is hard to say. Fortunately they are calmer than the Greeks."

Thor chuckled a bit. Personally, he liked the Greeks, they knew how to have a good time.

"Perhaps," he agreed easily.

Loki shrugged and started walking again, though he kept the Egyptians in his sight.

"So, brother, I'm surprised none of your friends tried to follow you here."

"I bade them to stay behind this time," Thor replied. He shifted his feet a bit. "I thought it might be best if you did not have to face them the whole time, nor they you."

"Very thoughtful of you." Loki didn't outright say thank you, but he was indeed rather thankful. He could handle the Avengers, but preferably in small doses.

"It will take time for them to be comfortable around you again," Thor said softly. He was quiet for a moment. "Although Father seems pleased with your behavior so far."

"So far." Loki smiled grimly. "Although I suspect he'll find fault with something I do sooner or later."

Thor sighed, but didn't comment. He couldn't defend Odin because there were a lot of things he didn't agree with, but he also knew that Loki wouldn't be inclined to believe him anyways.

"He is pleased right now," was all he said.

Loki hummed his agreement of that assessment and turned his attention to Kae briefly. She grinned at him and scooted closer to the two Nordic gods, not quite willing to go wandering off on her own.

Thor grinned widely and turned his attention to Kae.

"How are you enjoying yourself?" he asked her.

"It's been interesting so far," Kae said with a little grin. "Ran into Cupid yesterday, and today there are way too many gods that look familiar around. I'm not used to it. It's kind of awesome."

Thor chuckled.

"Aye, I suspect it will only get better from here for you," he agreed. He didn't comment on them running into Cupid; clearly, nothing had happened, so he wasn't worried.

Kae grinned and nodded. "Too bad Bruce couldn't come. Then again, this may be too much temptation for the big guy anyway."

"Indeed," Thor said, "it would be a bad idea for Banner to lose his temper here." Because he knew that not even the Hulk would be able to stand up to so many gods in one place.

"Yeah. Probably a good thing he opted to stay home and babysit Tony." Kae grinned when Loki snerked. She knew Loki would get it, and Thor probably wouldn't.

Thor blinked.

"I'm not sure I understand," he said finally. He shook his head a bit. It really didn't matter much.

"Nevermind. Oooo can we go over there?" Kae was looking at a little gaggle of Greeks.

"We can get closer but don't talk to them." Loki huffed but let Kae lead the way closer to the little group.

"Nonsense, brother, the Greeks are quite friendly," Thor objected. He grinned. He always had fun where the Greeks were concerned.
